The other day I was just wearing really really simple tripp pants, not even my nice ones, and a black shirt with random pink s**t on it (not mine)... anyway some dude was backing out, and saw me sitting at the park. He ******** stopped his car in the middle of the street and sat and stared. He stared for like 3 straight minutes. I mean a glance, or like 5-10 seconds, ok. But 3 ******** minutes? And it was at ME. Not at my friends. My friends were sitting about 5 feet away, 3 goths in one patch of shade and one in the other.
AND, my friend was wearing my red and black yarn falls... and she's wayyyy hot. And the other two were guys.... very intimadating guys. So why the ******** was he staring at me??
I just couldn't understand it. >.<"

Hahaa, cool! But I suppose "interesting" means good and bad reactions? Did they give you any trouble for wearing the respirator there? My school goes nuts about stuff like that. They don't allow masks at halloween anymore. :[ Anyhoo, that hoodie is really cool. :] A tip that I learned for ripping stuff like that though, if after you cut/rip something, you rough it up with a cheesegrater or nail file it'll look like it's more naturally worn and tattered than just straight fringy cuts.
@Strangeness: lol. I've had stuff like that happen when wearing only slightly-weird stuff too. I have this one kinda post-apocalyptic-punk bomber hat that I made with some really filthy lookin' fabric, with a strip of metal plates down the middle and a faux fur bihawk, and metal button eyes... and this hat has actually made children cry on multiple occasions. rofl gonk It hardly looks as weird as it sounds, but apparently freaks people out for some reason. And I've gotten double, triple, and even quadruple-takes from people when I wear it out, and one time this girl just kept staring at me and when she realized that I noticed her watching, she hid behind a shelf and kept peeking out through the stuff on the shelf and she looked SCARED. It was seriously weird. O__o;
Lol and this one time I was at sixflags with my best friend and I was wearing my goggles with some new mirror lenses I had just gotten, my kneehigh docs that I always wear and some other pretty boring stuff, and this lady and her friends came up to me and one asked if she could take a picture with me and, baffled, I agree and she gets next to me, and starts fondling me and trying to make out with me, and her friend snaps a pic. I was so caught off guard. It was actually pretty hilarious how awkward it was.

Hey Fenton! Long time no see! I only recognized you by the siggy art lol.
I know what you mean about the whole mask ban thing at school. But hey at least they probably allowed people to dress up as witches.... I went to a tiny public school but half the staff were part of a church that was on campus.... crazy ******** jesus freaks.... Anyway, one of my friends went as a witch with 4 inch pvc boots, fishnets, long ripped up skirt, corset, and a witch hat. They s**t a ******** brick a sent her home. She wasn't allowed to come back for a week. I was like WTF??
And I shall use your nail file cheese grater tip..... I need to start on some projects soon anyway.... but that comes after my current one. I has a long purple trench that I need to finish modifying. =] It's gonna look gorgeous.
And please please please post a picture of that hat, I really really want to see. So yes, you've made a child cry. Have you ever been so scary you made a child stop crying? surprised That's a tale for another time lol.
Yes, I'm familiar with the old quadruple take. I usually get them more when I'm gothed out but wearing my smiley face backpack. Or something equally contradictory.
What the ******** ********?? Why did that crazy lady think that was remotely ok? I mean if she was hot and you were in to it, then ok.... but like whaaaaaaa?

Ah, yeah. I kinda lost interest in Gaia for a while... I just changed my name like two days ago when I came back. XD
Oh yeah, there were some crazy things this year. One guy had this huge cardboard Pacman costume. It was great. That's really dumb that they did that to your friend. I actually heard that that happens in some areas, but for the opposite reason: the new-age hippy witches in the community got all pissy about kids dressing up as ugly evil green witches and kids weren't allowed to dress up at the school for halloween at all. WTF. I don't remember where that was. Lol tangent.
But yeah, cheese graters are awesome at destroying fabric. Just be sure to have something hard and sturdy under the fabric like a board or something. And don't be an idiot and grate off your knuckles like I did once. Maaan that was dumb. And painful. XD Do you have any wip pics of the coat? *curious*
I'll try to get a pic up for ya. I made the silly thing almost two years ago and still haven't taken a pic of it yet. XD
I haven't made a child stop crying, but then again I try not to have to interact with children very often. DX
And this lady was like 30. eek And even worse, I'm about the height of a 12-year-old and look rather ambiguous genderwise, so I really have no idea what she was thinking. O__o; I can only imagine that she was seriously drunk or something.

I took a break for a while as well. I came back a bit ago...
Yeah, I heard about the whole witch upset thing. I thought it was funny. I mean I'm a witch.... well not precisely. I'm a Wiccan and technically that makes me a witch. But I don't get offended when people prance around like the wicked witch of the west. It's portraying the storybook witches of old, what's wrong with that? It's all in good fun.
I like tangents. Tangents are fun. ^-^
Which part of the cheese grater do you use? The part where it's got all the little ovals? Or the super spiky part that hurts when you touch it? lol. I'm guessing the ovals but I thought I'd ask.
I would take a pic of the coat right this very instant for you, but my camera is dead and I haven't the faintest idea where the charger got off to. This is the buttons I sewed on the front: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/ilovedragons33/171241.jpg I have different buttons for the sleeves.
This is the patch I sewed on the back: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/ilovedragons33/171119.jpg I'm also going to add D rings and satin ribbon. I <3 corset lacings.
This b***h was 30? Whaaaaaaaaaa???? Ok, whut tha ********. That just like seriously ******** my mind sideways with a screwdriver through the nose. Whuuuuuuut? o.O

Try walking down a Hispanic neighborhood in LA with Hispanic friends being the only white guy who happens to look very much like Edward Norton in American History X. Let's just say I get stared at a lot. Also, even my white friends say that black jeans and a black flannel shirt make me look "dark". I don't get it, all my rivethead and darker stuff is back home...I wear black jeans and a black t-shirt and people stare...

I had the whole American History X goatee going, which probably didn't help at all... And yeah, it's funny cause now that I'm home, all my friends are white. When I was in LA NONE of my friends were white.
