Well, since the newest games for Pokemon were released yesterday in the US, I thought I might as well make a thread to discuss the franchise as a whole. XD
Anyway, fav pokemon? Show? Movie? Game?

Well so totally raised on Pokemon from a very young age. No real favorite I guess, I like them all. Though I play some more than others(reason being I do not have the sytem anymore) I will say that I haven't played some of them cause I don't have the sytem, so I cannot try it out.
Um favorite show is probably when it first started coming out, all the older episodes. Better wholesomeness I guess. Favorite movie is the first one(mewtoo strikes back? Can never trully remember the name), just cause the scene where ash gets turned to stone still gets me everytime.
Now favorite pokemon........depends really, not gunna say Pikachu(cause that's a really popular one that a lot of people choose), but I'd say is cyniquil, just because is a fire pokemon and I like its final evolution
I usually tend to use the pokemon usually associated with what I need most in the game, I do level other pokemons even if not using them. But it also depends on the game I play, if you wanna know just say the game, I'll try to remember which ones I use

Hahaha I'm going to a "Trainers Day" in Milwaukee this summer lol.
My favorite game is still green. Bulbasaur! Yeah! I don't really like the newer pokemon. They seem like the people coming up with them are just recycling ideas or not putting much thought into them anymore. My favorite pokemon that I always try to get and use a lot is Articuno. Because it's pretty and blue....horrible reasons I know. The original season of the anime is my favorite. I seriously cried when Butterfree left. I was like 10 years old T^T

Oh lawd I play it all the time! My fave types are Steel and Electric. My fave pokemon would have to be Magnezone, but Porygon-Z is made of win lol. I never much cared for the TV or movies, but I did like Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.
At times I truly wish the real world were like pokemon world. Just wander off at age 10 with your mother's blessings and don't have to worry about money or a job or anything.

XD isn't it wonderful? The good guys always win and you get to travel with crazy awesome creatures.
XD I once had a dream that science made one of those vitual pods for the new pokemon games and we would never leave them.
Anyway...
My HG and SS just came in the mail.
The boxes are rather shiny and I got figurines.
Unfortunately, I can't play them until after finals. emo

Aw that sucks you have to wait to play them. I want to get the games but havent yet.
As for favorite game I would have to say gold verson because that was the only one I completely beat. I even had a level 100 mewto.
As for favorite show I would have to say the first one, idk why I just liked it better.
Favorite pokemon would be... um... idk, I likealot of them though if I had to pick I would say, Mewto, Blastoise Lucario, and Pikachu. Though the pokemon i used were mostly by what gym i needed to beat.
I still love pokemon though the anime I'm kinda tired of cause it basically seems like the same plot over and over again

Still a fan of Pokemon after all of these years.
Recently, I think I created a couple of ideal Pokemon for catching roamers.
Pokemon – Absol or Gallade Nature – Adamant or Jolly EV Spread (Adamant) – 10 HP, 90 attack, 150 Defense, 150 Sp. Defense, 110 Speed EV Spread (Jolly) – 10 HP, 110 attack, 150 Defense, 150 Sp. Defense, 90 Speed
Move Set: Mean Look (Learned by breeding) – Keeps target from fleeing False Swipe (Learned by TM) – Keeps target from fainting while still doing damage Taunt (Learned by TM or leveling up in the case of Absol) – Keeps the target from healing or using Roar Any other move you’d like (A status-educing attack or a STAB move would be best)
I went ahead and tried my Roamer-catching Gallade (Adamant natured) and it worked the way I hoped it would. This morning I caught the very last roaming Pokemon I needed to catch in all three of my games, Zapdos in Platinum. However, I wouldn’t use him for ones that knows physical attacks because his defense is sub-par.
pokemon is the best my favorite pokemon are pikachu entei lugia and let me see oo TYRANITAR! biggrin

Wigglytuff! Wigglytuff Wigglytuff Wigglytuff! *ahem* That aside, I do enjoy pokemon. I have heart gold and I am currently developing my amazing crew, of which I've determined three so far.
Stay Puff, my Wigglytuff. Scurvy, my Wailord. And JeanClaude. My Honchcrow.
I never really plan out the best teams, I just pick my favorites and go with them. mrgreen
its a cool adventure game i guess i still play it when im bored my fav pokemon show:i haate pokemon tv shows >.> fav pokemon game:fire red or leaf green fav pokemon:absol biggrin

I like the movies over the show, but I still enjoy watching it from time to time
My favorite pokemon is celebi and cyndiquil(forgive spelling)
Of the games i like to play the classics like Red, Blue and yellow
