Name: Zachariah Young
Birthday: January 4th
Appearance: Zachariah has brown hair, with a slightly shaggy cut. His hazel eyes show the world his innocent nature. His skin is slightly tanned, due to all the time he spends outdoors. When going to meetings or other formal events, he wears a black suit and tie, a starched white dress shirt, and black shoes. When sporting casual wear, he prefers to dress in jeans, loafers, and collared, short-sleeved shirts.
Personality: Utah is innocent and naive, so it is easy for him to be mislead by others. He's fairly sheltered and is always one of the last to know about something. Not very masculine in appearance, he is passive and cries easily.
Hobbies and Interests:Utah loves to be outdoors, and spends a lot of his time doing sports like hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, and ice-skating. He doesn't care much for sports games, like basketball or football. He is really interested in trains and railroads. He has miniature models of trains and tracks all over his home. Utah has strange taste in foods - his favorites are funeral potatoes, jello (especially green jello with carrots), Postum (a coffee substitute), and fry sauce.
Brief History: The 45th state to enter the union, Utah was settled by Mormon pioneers looking for a place to make their Zion. Before that, the land was inhabited dominately by the Ute Indian tribe, from which Utah gets it’s name.
Religion: Church of Ladder-Day Saints (Mormon)
Political Party: Dominantly Republican, though he wishes he could be more Democratic.
Relationships:
His Boss - His boss is the anthropomorphic version of the LDS (Mormon) church, Utah's relationship with his boss is a strange one. At times, they really get along, and at other times, his boss can become very mean.
Utah is intimidated by his boss, and pretty much does whatever his boss tells him to do. He wishes he could stick up for himself more.
Other States - Since Utah is passive and naive, it's easy for other states to take advantage of him. Zac is very trusting of them, and will (almost) believe anything they tell him.
At the moment, he's a little irked that everyone else wants to dump their nuclear waste in his state. He wants to stop them from doing it, but his vote keeps getting surpassed.APPROVED!

AlaskaIMAGE COMING SOON~ ((I have to draw him. xD; )) State: Alaska
Name: Nikolai Jones (formerly known as Nikolai Braginsky)
Birthday: January 3
Appearance: He has light blond hair and blue eyes. He's sort of tall for a fourteen-year-old, only a few inches shorter than America. He usually wears a dark brown winter coat with an occasional cream scarf and matching gloves, with a black turtle-neck sweater underneath with a pair of jeans and snowboots. Whenever dressing for a formal event, he would wear a dark brown suit and black shoes.
Personality: He's very quiet and shy, and doesn't have very many friends. He's very lonely, being so far away from the other states AND being the 47th "most populated" state in the US.
Hobbies and Interests: He's really into dogsledding and hunting and fishing. He has his own Siberian Husky.
Brief History: Nikolai was found by Russia when he was a little boy. Russia took him home and raised him until he was almost a teen. Russia then decided he wanted to sell Alaska, and America bought him for $7.2 million. Alaska is now the 49th state of the US.
Religion: Evangelist, Catholic, Christian
Political Party: Republican
Relationships:
Russia - Russia found Alaska when he was little and raised him. When he got older, Russia decided he wanted to sell him. America bought Alaska from Russia and brought him to live in the US with him.
America - America bought Alaska from Russia not too long ago. Alaska isn't all that fond of America because of Russia's influence, but he tries to be nice.
Other States - He doesn't get to talk with the other states very often due to living so far away from them. He worries they don't like him because no one ever makes an effort to talk to him. He hasn't really gotten used to living in the US yet.

Virginia ~Yes, I actually drew this~State:Virginia
Name: Rosemary Alexander
Birthday: April 29th
Appearance: Rosemary is about 18 with back length light brown hair and hazel eyes. Her casual wear consists of jeans and tee-shirts and normal high-tops. When she's out working on the farm she keeps her jeans but switches her top in for a plaid shirt and some boots. Her formal wear consists of an aqua/teal dress and a pair of black high heels. She's a little bit shorter then Belarus.
Personality:Rosemary is a very open hearted girl who speaks her mind, which gets her in trouble with some other states. She has a bubbly personality as well which helps her keep the mood in the room a high.
Hobbies and Interests:She loves farming and animals. In fact she has a border collie with her all the time, whose name is Bainín. She's also into seeing movies and talking to other people.
Brief History: Virginia first started out as a colony that stretched from the entire coastal region from South Carolina to Maine, plus the island of Bermuda. Later after the Revolution she became a state with many historical figures such as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. She is often referred to as the 'Mother of States' because of her role in forming the States. Virgina was the tenth colony to become a state on June 25, 1788.
Religion: Baptist
Political Party:Mostly republican but there are a few democrats.
Relationships:
Her Boss-Since her Boss is the hugely populated Baptist church, her views are often about whether or not something goes against the scripture or against Baptist beliefs.
Other States- Her say what's on my mind attitude gets her in trouble with states who really don't want to hear what she has to say. Even though she is referred to as the 'Mother of States' she feels as if she doesn't get enough respect from the others. APPROVED!

Nevada
State:Nevada
Name: Colin J. Nye
Birthday: October 31st
Appearance: Nevada is a handsome young man, with shaggy blonde hair and grey eyes. For state meetings and other various formal events, Colin usually chooses to dress "semi-formal" - consisting of slacks, a jacket, a t-shirt, and a tie. For more casual wear, Colin usually wears a tight-fitting t-shirt and nice jeans.
Personality: A State made famous for drive-through chapels, lavish entertainment, gambling, and sex; Nevada is seen by others as a complete hedonist. He has very few morals (or so it seems). He doesn’t really realize what he’s doing until he goes too far, and then he regrets it. He has a reputation for being a partier, but what he really wants is just for him and his friends to have a good time. Also, he’s a horribly reckless driver.
Hobbies and Interests: Considered a complete hedonist by others, Nevada’s favorite past-times are smoking, drinking, gambling, partying, and sex. At least, those are the hobbies he spends most of his time doing. His lesser known hobbies include visiting Utah (and pissing off Utah’s boss), basketball, and speedway racing.
Brief History: Nevada became it’s own territory after a tense split and short war (spawned by Utah’s boss) with the Utah Territory. Nevada later became the 36th state, helping Lincoln get re-elected after the Civil War and industrialize the Union. Nevada expanded his boundries with parts of the Arizona Territory and parts of the Utah Territory, making the state that we recognize today. During his first years of Statehood, Nevada’s economy was shaped mostly by silver mining; today it comes mostly from casinos and other entertainment industries found aplenty in the state.
Religion: Roman Catholic, Unaffiliated
Political Party: Mostly Democratic
Relationships:
Utah – Nevada and Utah have known each other since childhood, being in the same territory before their statehoods. Despite his rocky relationship with Utah’s boss, Utah and Nevada are really good friends.
Other States – Nevada loves to tease the other states, and thinks of them more as his family than his colleuges. Sometimes they feel he gets a little too frisky with them.

Oregon State: Oregon Name: Ethan Powell Birthday:February 14 Appearance:Ethan has almost shoulder length chocolate brown hair and brown eyes, and wears glasses that represent Fort Rock Cave. He rarely dresses up in formal attire, which he considers impractical. He tends to go for the comfort of casual clothes rather than style. Personality: Oregon is a very laid-back state and doesn't like to be rushed, preferring to take his time and go at his own pace. He's easy to get along with and is generally kind and honest. He may seem lazy, but Oregon is very self-sufficient and is willing to work hard to stay healthy. He also doesn't seem to mind the rain, and finds it amusing when others use umbrellas. Hobbies and Interests: Oregon is happiest when he's out of the house and camping, tending to his garden, or biking, but he also likes winding down after a busy day with a cup of coffee and a good book. Among the vegetables and herbs in his garden are marijuana plants, which he's more than willing to share. He also raises chickens and has a fondness for hazelnuts and wine. Brief History: For many years, a lot of indigenous tribes inhabited Oregon until settlers came and fur trading became common. In 1848 he became a territory, and after some skirmishes between England and America, Oregon officially became the 33rd state in 1859. Religion:Christian Political Party: Oregon can't seem to make up his mind on politics. The western half is more liberal and the eastern half is more conservative, but he has mostly supported Democratic presidential candidates in the past. Relationships: California: Oregon thinks California is annoying. He doesn't really like being considered "California's Canada" all that much. Other states: Oregon gets along fairly well with everyone else. APPROVED!

Name: Mia Flores
Birthday: September 9th
Appearance: She has chocolate brown hair that passes her shoulders, olive-colored eyes, and is often seen with a deep red headband, with a small bear to the side. She loves bears, Grizzly bears in general, and likes to carry a stuffed teddy bear around. She wears a short sleeved, tight-fitted white shirt (sometimes seen with a small teddy bear in the middle), usually with a dark blue cardigan sweater, and a plaid skirt. She also wears flip flops with tiny bear charms, despite the cold sometimes.
Personality: She is slightly dense at times, and very carefree. She often spends her time reading a book, or on a swing set, she often acts like a little kid, minus the immaturity. Like Hungary, she has an interest in yaoi (probably due to San Francisco's stereotype), but is very sensitive to this case, usually pretending to cover her eyes, and turning a deep red, something Mexico finds adorable about her. Despite being the 'most populated' country in the United States, she prefer to be alone most of the time, and like Spain, enjoys a little siesta every once in a while.
She is a bit hot tempered, and getting her angry is never a good idea. But don't worry, she won't do real damage, maybe throw a flip flop at your head.
Hobbies and Interests: Some of her interests are teddy bears, reading, the ocean, and the sun. She also likes to surf, but it isn't one of her real hobbies, not meaning she isn't good at it. She loves learning about new cultures, often intrigued about by cultures across the world. She is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish fluently.
Brief History: Once under Spanish control, California gained it's independence from Spain through the Mexican War of Independence, but stayed under control of Mexico. Later on, California gained their independence from Mexico during the Bear Flag Revolt, which lasted 26 days.
Religion: Roman Catholic, Christian
Political Party: Republican by Governor
Relationships:
Mexico: Once part of his territory, she gained her independence from hims through the Bear Flag Revolt in 1846. Some of her old territory, Baja California, is still considered past of Mexico, she had control over Alta California. Her relationship with him is still a little sketchy, but loves him like an older brother.
Texas: Her big brother, they were both under control of Mexico at one point, both revolting, and becoming part of the united states. She looks up to him, and is oblivious to his large ego, and why he dislikes Mexico so much. He does pick on her, which she sees as brotherly love.
Spain: Due to once being part of Mexico, she was under his control as well, also part of "New Spain" at one point. She gained her independence from Spain through the Mexican War of Independence, but remained under control of Mexico. Her father, in general, she adores him very much.
Oregon: He doesn't seem to take a liking to her very much, and she is oblivious to the reason. She tends to steer clear from him, but tries to be friendly.
Other States: She gets along fairly well with the other nations, but often likes to be alone, only actually opening up to someone whom she can trust.

New Hampshire State: New Hampshire
Name: Wylie Stahl
Birthday: June 21st
Appearance: Wylie has short wavy dark brown hair, green almond shaped eyes, a big roman nose, and a goofy smile. His height is 5’7, and he has a pale slender body. He wears super gay clothes, usually jackets, cardigans, and scarves. Normal blue jeans like you could get a Wal-mart, same with sneakers.
Personality: Wylie is a fun loving guy who gets his kicks with the various pranks he pulls. He has a difficult time taking things seriously and sometimes that gets him scolded. When he’s not annoying people with his stupid humor, he can actually be a pretty nice guy to be around. His acceptance and open-mindedness sometimes shocks people. He’s super sweet, despite the fact that he pranks everyone.
Hobbies and Interests:
He’s really into pranking and cracking jokes with people. When fall and spring roll around he likes to take leisurely walks up the mountain to take photos of the scenery. He’s hard core supportive in the gay community considering his state allows gay marriage, he’s asexual but none of the other states know exactly what he is.
Brief History: New Hampshire was one of the first thirteen colonies and one of the firsts to become a state.
Religion: Christian
Political Party: Democrat
Relationships:
Nevada – One of Wylie’s good friends, the two love to tease and torment each other. Almost to the point of shocking their fellow States.
Maine – Wylie doesn’t really get along with Maine very well. Due to their heavily forested areas, Wylie is always in competition with Maine to get more tourists.
Other States – New Hampshire loves to tease the other states, even though he really does care for everyone. APPROVED!

TEXAS

State: Texas
Human Name: Jose Allen
Birthday: December 29th
Appearance: He's one of the tallest states though Alaska is a little taller than him (by maybe half an inch or so) with short dark auburn colored hair and hazel (brown/green) colored eyes. He has a little bit of facial hair, mostly centered on his chin and his upper-lip. He is usually seen wearing a long sleeved, white buttoned up shirt with olive-green vertical (thin) stripes and a pair of blue jeans with a belt, which has an oval-shaped silver buckle on it depicting a bull rider. As to be expected, he also wears a pair of cowboy boots which, he claims, are the most comfortable pair of shoes a man could possible own. He also wears a black cowboy hat and his shirt is almost always tucked in. Age wise, he looks like he's 18 years old.
Personality: Texas is one of the largest states (would be first if it weren't for Alaska) and has an ego to match. He's friendly, loud and very stubborn; once he makes up his mind, it's very difficult to change it. Though he is very respectful when it comes to people/states/nations older than him, always saying 'sir' and 'ma'am'. As for his siblings, he makes it a habit to pick on them, especially his younger sister California. But, he's just playing the part of 'big brother'. He really looks up to America as well, even though he has regularly threatened to succeed if things didn't start going his way.
Hobbies and Interests: He loves rodeo's and regularly participates in them, mainly bull riding. He also enjoys riding horses, playing his guitar, cooking and sleeping in the grass. He loves eating barbeque and chili, both of which he can cook very well. Because he used to live with Mexico, he can speak both Spanish and English but he tries to forget how to speak Spanish, wanting little to do with Mexico.
Brief History: Texas was once under Spanish rule but then gained independence from Spain via Mexico Revolution. Though, after a while (and some outside influence) he grew tired of being with Mexico and wanted to become his own country, thus the Texas Revolution began in 1835. A few months later, he became free of Mexico and became known as the Republic of Texas. Unfortunately, there were mishaps and he soon joined the United States. It wasn’t long after that before the Civil War broke out and he left the US to join the Confederates. After the war was over, he rejoined the US, becoming the 28th state. In history, Texas has had six flags fly over him: Spain, France (for a short time), Mexico, Republic of Texas, Confederacy, and the US flag.
Religion: Roman Catholic (Christian)
Political Party: Republican
Relationships:
Mexico :: His older brother though Jose is reluctant to admit it. He still can’t really forgive Mexico for what happened during the Texas Revolution (Goliad, the Alamo) so they often bicker. He really doesn’t seem to care that much for his brother, at least not like he used to.
California :: His little sister of whom he is a little bit protective of. He says it’s because he’s the big brother so it’s his ‘job’, which is also what he says when he picks on her.
Other States :: He has nothing against the others but he still picks on them every now and then. Sometimes though, he tends to forget that Alaska is there.

State: State of Wisconsin
Human Name: Alexa LaFollette
Birthday: May 29th
Appearance: Alexa had long Gold/Light brown colored hair. Her eyes are a similar color, only their a deeper light brown. She normally wears a dress shirt, under a formal coat, with rolled up dress pants. Her coat is a light brown, along with her pants, which are a bit darker in color, along with black boots.
Personality: Alexa has a variable personality, it all depends on who she around. She normally has a shy personality, only speaking out when she is asked to, but she can also be angered easily. When she is with people she is used to, she tends to be happier, and more outgoing.
Hobbies and Interests: Ice skating has always been one of her hobbies, and she is actually quite good at it. She also reads quite a bit, and draws in her free time.
Brief History: Jean Nicolet, a native of France, was the first explorer to reach the area while searching for the Northwest Passage to China in 1634. The French lost possession of Wisconsin and all of it's territories east of the Mississippi to Great Britain during the French and Indian War. British possession of Wisconsin ended in 1783, when Britain signed the treaty ending the American Revolution. Because the U.S. government had no effective control over Wisconsin, it remained under unofficial British control. Fur trade continued as the foundation of Wisconsin's economy.The first wave of American settlers in Wisconsin came in the 1820's as a result of a lead mining boom in northwest Illinois and southwest Wisconsin. The movement of white settlers into the Midwest caused intense conflict when the federal government and settlers attempted to move Native Americans from their lands. Federal policies included uprooting entire tribes and forcing them to resettle west of the Mississippi. When the Sac people tried to return in 1832, the Black Hawk War started ending in the Bad Axe Massacre with less than 1000 Native Americans surviving. Other Wisconsin tribes either left the area, or negotiated reservation lands. No longer having opposition from the Native Americans, a second wave of settlers came to Wisconsin and in 1836 the Wisconsin Territory was organized. Around the 1840's a third wave of settlers came to Wisconsin, attracted by good farmland. At that time the state became the nation's leading wheat producer. On May 29, 1848, Wisconsin was admitted to the Union as the 30th state.

Minnesota: Wisconsin has always had a good relation with Minnesota. They've helped each other through a lot, and one is always there for the other.
Michigan: Having a slight grudge against Michigan for owning land that Wisconsin thought should have been hers (Aka upper Michigan). Other then that, they have a good relation.
Other states: Wisconsin doesn't have a problems with most of the states (Except California for putting up her title as the cheese state on the line), and enjoys when everyone gets along.APPROVED!

Georgia  I drew this myself! ^^State: Georgia Name: Belle Atalanta Birthday: January 2, 1788 Appearance: Belle has long brown hair, which she often wears down. Normally she goes about in her sun dress and hat, bu for important meetings and such, she wears a more formal dress and hat, though all of her clothing is bright and reminiscent of the bright colors in the various plants and animals of her state. Personality: Very kind natured and bright, Belle welcomes everyone at first. However, it is a very bad idea to make her mad, she holds a grudge. She's not particularly happy with democrats, but she treats them fair enough. Despite what some think, she is actually very intelligent and only falls into a country accent when she's flustered or upset about something. Hobbies and Interests: Gardening, nature rides, and wrestling alligators in the Okefenokee swamp. Brief History: Initially the 13th British colony in the new world, Georgia was the fourth state to join the United States. During the Civil War, Georgia was on the confederate side, and even held the capital during the war. It took a long time to recover after Sherman's march on Atlanta, but soon Georgia flourished as an agricultural capital again. Religion: Christianity Political Party: Republican Relationships: none in particular, though Georga is particularly fond of her fellow southerners, Louisiana and New Orleans. APPROVED!

Rhode IslandImage Goes Here When I Get One ^w^ State: Rhode Island
Name: Noah Addams
Birthday: May 29, 1790
Appearance: Noah has short, brownish-black hair with flecks of white spotted in it and bright blue eyes. He is one of the shortest states, standing at only 4' 10", which tends to get him overlooked as one of the fifty states. Jeans and a shirt are his common attire, along with the large sign he carries around.
Personality: Quiet, literally does not talk much except through his sign.
Hobbies and Interests: Boating, writing, sports.
Brief History: Being the smallest of the states is hard. Also if you don't talk much. Noah has that problem. Being softspoken, he only talks by writing on the large sign he carries with him twenty-four seven. Before, he was the top crime boss among his brethren, housing more than enough criminals and gangsters in his house. But after a while he handed in his gun and fedora, keeping to more quiet things.
Religion: Pretty much into all religions.
Political Party: Democratic
Relationships: No one really.
