Introduction

There is an old old library at the edge of town. You know the one, with the giant stone animals out front that seem to be guarding some long forgotten secret. This quiet, abandoned, peaceful area of town is where you like to spend your time. Playing, reading, and dreaming under the watchful eyes of the great stone guardians. You doubt there is even one pebble you don't know outside of the ancient structure but of the inside? A building that seems to be almost as old as time itself yet is still standing. How many days have you spent dreaming of what may lie beyond the oaken doors? How many times have you wished you could creep inside and look around? But for years something has held you back, somehow you knew you should stay away from the entrance. Then one day, as you and your friends played and whispered beneath the guardians of stone, the ancient oaken doors creaked loudly, much too loudly for the wind. You all look up to see the giant doors slowly opening as if of their own free will. Out of the shadows just inside the doors steps a beautiful young woman who's eyes seek out you and your friends. A lovely smile crosses her lips when she finds you all and she beckons to you with her hand to come forward and enter the ancient structure. After exchanging glances with each other you all nod, slowly getting to your feet and walking forward in wonder. The instant the last of you is inside the doors snap shut more quickly than should even be possible and light from the ceiling high above you and walls far to either side jumps forth illuminating the dark inside. The woman who lured you all inside is in front of you in an instant and spreading behind her are giant feathery wings. Covering the space before you are rows upon rows of old but well cared for bookshelves and the strangest looking books you have ever seen. The woman quickly explains to you, although it gets through more to the girls than the boys, that she is a siren and this is the Library of Time. For millennia it has served as home, protection, school, and playground to all sorts of creatures and beings lost to time and referred to as legends or myths. It has kept peace between the present world and those lost to the past but now it and the beings within need your help. A dark presence had descended upon it and for months all those within had been growing more and more afraid as some began to disappear and others became mean and started wreaking havoc in the catacombs below where the creatures lived and played. Now the presence has grown and they believe what ever dark creature is causing it will soon appear and all will be lost. Only you and your friends can save the library you love so dearly, within the walls of this ancient structure you have power. The power to heal, the power to fight, the power to protect, and the power to see. those with the power to see will be most valuable in fending off the darkness for only they can see it clearly and clearly feel it's presence but you all are invaluable to the effort. So, will you stay and risk your life to help these creatures you don't even know, or will you refuse and leave your beloved library behind forever. The choice is yours to make.

Rules

1. any guild related rules, existing now or in the future must be followed in here.

2. as obvious as the first, you must follow gaia ToS

3. please try to keep it PG-13 alright?

4. romance is alright but again it's a library so please at least try to keep it somewhat believable for that space

5. fighting is of course encouraged, kinda the point

6. semi-literate please. this means no text talk, use "abc" for speech and -abc- for thoughts. and i think we can all manage at least two or three sentences a post most of the time

7. use [], (()), {}, ect. for Ooc

8. don't kill anybody's character without their permission

9. godmodding isn't cool, don't do it. if someone isn't there and u really need them to move on you may for example pull them by the arm but don't dictate what someone else does

10. profiles must be submitted to me via PM, title it 'Save The Library' so i know u read the rules

11. the friends are human anyone else can be any mythological or whatever creature you want

12. if you have any plot advancement suggestions, questions, or concerns feel free to PM me about them

Bio: He was raised in a family of strong brothers, and his siblings were always telling him how useless he was since he was a runt with glasses and a weak constitution. He ran away from home, intending to return when he found some way to be stronger than his older brothers.

Personality: Through all the years Cecil has been living through his life, he's been made fun of, teased, beaten up, and just all around hurt for no reason..For these reasons, he's become cut off from everyone else, anti-social, more of a loner type of a Neko.
Bio: Cecil is in the library because he has no other home. No other family...His father ran away when Cecil's mother was pregnant with him and his mother died when Cecil turned, in human years, five. He now has no motive to live anymore, so he'll die if the time comes, but he sure will put up a fight...
Opinion: Cecil personaly doesn't enjoy the humans being here... He thinks their race is too young and easily curropted to have such power inside the library, that it might take over their small heads and cause them to destroy the library...If Cecil smells even a hint of something like this happening, he has no problem taking drastic measures...

Bio: Myrskyä is in the library because she has no family. She was abandoned as a young child. Her parents were killed in a random attack by the Alaskan Natives. Somehow she made it to the library where she now lives. Myrskyä is very sad at the loss of her family especially her twin sister, Sataa.
Opinion: Yes, we need the humans help to defeat the coming darkness. We are strong, yes, but we are stronger together. The more versatile our people are then the better are chances of winning.

Shamira helped us understand what we were and how to use our powers. As we got older, Pandora would spend most of her days reading while I would help Shamira with whatever. One day I couldn’t find my sister at all. All I found was a note that said Pandora was sorry but she couldn’t live like she was anymore. She needed to be important. Since then I’ve been trying to claim my sister back from the Darkness.
Opinion: Yes because I believe that they can help me reclaim my sister.

Bio: Roucha isn't as hopeless about her life as her brother is. Even though they have been through alot. Her familys distruction and her brothers depression, but she wants to find light in the dark hole of a life she used to live. Now she has been captured by the Darkness and forced into serve of a Great Demon called Kurono. She wonders what the future holds as her memories of her family and brother fade from her mind.
Opinion: At first she wanted tht humans help, unlike her brother Cecil who thought that the Library didn't need them. Unfortunetly she no longer knows which to choose, because of the Darkness she was forced to join.

Power: siren song and influence. as the Guardian of the Library of Time she can awaken the stone guardians out front and use magic from the many books there to protect the library and it's inhabitants.
Personality: for the most part she's nice, sweet, all that stuff but she's also extremely protective. other than that it's hard to pinpoint a personality for her.
Bio: Shamira has been here since the beginning, at least for her. she was born between the rows of books and that is where she stayed. her mother was the Guardian before her but disappeared centuries ago so now the responsibility is hers. she is determined to protect the many creatures that look up to her from the looming danger and will do what ever it takes to keep them safe.
Opinion: she knows the humans who are always playing just outside her walls are their last chance at survival. a human entering the library gains magnificent power as long as he or she stays within the library's walls. this power is exactly what they need to tip the scale towards survival.

Bio: She has no memory up until she was 50 years old. (Which is like a little kid for demons) She has a strap around her eyes to limit her power. She was tortured when she was young, but has no memory of it. She currently serves the Drakness on a mission to seek out the humans and destory them.
State: Has only known the Darkness her whole life. Wishes sometimes in the back of her head that she could see what the Light felt like.

One day I met a man who told me that there was more to life than this. I decided I wanted that, to feel important. I was only allowed to say goodbye to one person. I didn’t have to think who. Quickly I wrote a letter explaining why I left and I was somewhat sorry. From then on I became one of the Darkness Helpers.

The Guardian of the Library Of Time

Shamira had just finished explaining to the eight young humans who played outside her walls of the great danger the library was in. now she stood before them, her wings spread impressively behind her, letting her words sink in for a moment. "Please, my dear young friends, will you help us in our hour of need? I know you love these hallowed walls as dearly as I, will you not help to protect them and those that live within them?" She looked at each of the young humans in turn, with kind, pleading eyes and a gentle smile waiting to hear their answer.
