Things go missing, noises are made, a breeze with seemingly no source combs my hair, and the animals sense it too...

For years now, little things have occured in my household that lead me to believe I am not alone.
When I was 8 years old my family and I took a trip up to the lake, not but 5 miles away. When leaving, I set my glasses on my mother's roll-top desk so I wouldn't have to worry about taking them off and loosing them at the lake. I remember precisely where I set them...
The whole family filed into the car, and off we went.
Hours later we come home to find that my glasses are no where to be seen. The possibility of someone taking them was ruled out as no one was left at the house and all the doors were locked on our leave. Shadow, the only dog we had at the time, even went with us on our journey.
We spent the week tearing up the house in search of my glasses, to no prevail.
It's been 12 years now and my first pair of glasses has still to show up. I wonder if they ever will...
Several things of this small nature have gone missing through the years; a favorite beanie baby, a glass figurine, a glass elephant pendant, a lock of my mother's hair from her first haircut.

Even still, and when i'm home alone with only Yzma in the house, we'll both hear things. If i'm upstairs doing artwork at the dining room table i'll hear distinct footsteps on the level below me. Pictures will randomly go crooked with no shake of the house, coats will fall from their hangings, and lights will turn themselves off.

Yzma knows something's there, but she shows no territorial nature to the presence. She seems almost happy to have it there.
Only some times do I feel it's of a malevolent nature, out to scare me and rattle my nerves, but for the most part...
It's a pleasing existence.

Does anything follow you?

i have had that happen... i think my dad is down stairs making noises but then i hear him coming down the hall its like WTF and when hes sleeping at night and im up O O u things happen. i bout a pair of earing a while ago for my friends bday they were really nice celtic crosses and i put them right next to my compand some books right where i would remember and i go back a week lator to get them they're not there!! my house cleaner said she didnot see them at all or anything like em and i was only one in and out of there and house cleaner = ='' still looking for them. im not really intune to ghost ect. so i dont know for sure if it is one O O but its really strange im super in tuned to spiders ><"" ihate them i walk into a room and i know thereis a spider in here i always see them > razz yuck yuck ><""

I've had things like this happen quite often. So much so, that we've started to affectionately call the entity "Ghostie" and treat him as a visitor when he does show.
I've been living at this small farm house for about 5 years now. The house sits on a hill, and there are two bodies of water near it. One is a River, the other is large pond.

My bedroom is on an outer wall, and has a door that connects it to the carport, as well as the usual hallway door. When I first moved into that room, I would have the carport door locked and would start changing, partway through I'd look up and see in the mirror that the door was open again. Never once had there been anything physical there, but I always feel the presence of someone. At one point, it freaked me out so much that we ended up sealing that door completely.

We've also had issues where things have been moved, or gone missing for long periods of time.
I remember one occasion when I had borrowed my brother's PS2 chord and it went missing. a few months after that, we put up a new shelf in the spare room, an hour later we walked back into the room to find the missing chord sitting atop the newly installed shelf.

Every holiday season, things will physically move before our eyes.
from jars of jam being tossed across the room, to touch-activated ornaments going off at interesting times.

This samhain, I invited a few people over for celebration. We gathered around the kitchen table and had started a conversation about the origin of the holiday and the many traditions and stories surrounding it, as well as sharing our personal experiences and spiritual encounters.
After I had finished passing around cupcakes I had made, Valicity dropped hers, and let out a rather funny squeak. almost immediately afterwards, the touch activated witch ornament, that was sitting on the table started to make the cackling noise it's programed to make when some one touches it. For sure, our "Ghostie" has a sense of humor.

I've even had moments where "Ghostie" will mess around with our electronics. Often times, He'd turn on or off the radio when ever he feels. We used to just chalk it up to bad wiring until one day, Twisted sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" was playing on the radio. Immediately after the radio turned off, My laptop booted up and started playing the Bif Naked cover of the same song. Only My mother and I were home, we were both in the kitchen, the radio and laptop were in the next room.

On the same note, when we started to feel the presence of something a bit more malicious in the house, I had been home alone and invited a friend over. Once again, my laptop was in the room adjacent to us while I was making dinner. My computer started skipping over songs, as though someone was pressing the "next" button while it was on shuffle. after a few times of it doing this, usually mid song, it finally played one song through. and repeated it three times. it was a song by "Twiztid" in which the lyrics went: "There's a dark spirit living in your house with you, here's a quick list of things you're gonna need to do: Get the F*** Out..."

As a family, Mum, My Brother and I had all been feeling this presence and some nights I couldn't sleep because I could feel it in my room. Even My Boyfriend was getting worried for me. about 3 months ago I was really freaked out by this entity and Wesley, my BF, arrived at the doorstep. Wesley isn't a witch, warlock or such of any sorts, but that night, I'm certain that he conjured some form of protection magic. He used no physical tools of any sorts, only his mind and his words, but ever since he held me and simply said : "I'm always here to protect you" (yes, i do realize how corny and cliche that sounds, but it's true) I truly have not had another encounter with this spirit. I know it is still in the house, I can feel the residual negative energies from it, and no matter how much I try, I can't get rid of those. But I have had no issues with it even so much as stepping (so-to-speak) to my bedroom door.

We found out a few years ago that there was once a family who lived in this house. One of the children drowned in the river, and the mother died of disease. The father was driven mad and killed his other child and then hung himself in the carport.

I believe the darker spirit is the father and "Ghostie" is actually the two brothers playing games.

I don't think I'll ever forget how much Wesley has helped me. I plan to do a full blessing of the house before I move out so that my mother isn't left to handle it all on her own.
I'm pretty much going to do a full ritual cleaning and then draw the boundaries for each of these spirits. I have about a year to plan it all out, do you have any suggestions to help make it more effective?
