In a world of pregnant teens, drug-addicted friends, children of unemployed and divorced parents, and other stories of tragedy and horror, no one wants to become one of those statistics. People have ruined their lives over one of those mistakes one night and they can never turn back. No one wants to be the pregnant 9th grader or the distant crack addict friend. No one wanted to be the abused child or the "poor girl". And most of all, they didn't want to be the one who became suicidal and pulled away from the world. People dream of becoming teachers in a middle school, and to marry their high school sweetheart. As they watched our children start families of their own, they would grow old together. It was the perfect fairy tale. But dreams, wants and plans go down the drain sometimes.
