I was wondering this myself.

It's an MMORPG, right? You don't need to pay an extra subscription, do you?

You can always check out the videos Xbox displays there for you. Theres one i saw i forgot where it was on there and it basicly was telling you what the game was on and how it plays.

This game is a disgrace to FF series. For one, the characters are cheap knock offs. The weapons suck. The gameplay offers nothing new. The battle sequence is retarded. This game is just pathetic.

Just be prepared to be a dissapointed. I love FF. I've been playing it since FF7. Cloud cannot be a knock off if he's the first Cloud looking characters.
The weapons are like this. Light (Lightning) the main character is the only one with a cool looking weapon which is a sword. There's the only black guy on the game that uses two pistols, a dingy Asian chick that uses some weird staff that does nothing good. Hope, a little guy uses a God dang boomerang. Snow, who looks like Seifer from KH2, punches people while getting shot by actual guns. Then to top it off is a Chinese chick that uses a long spear thing.
The fighting is not fun at all. It's like the old style, but if you're not quick enough you can completely screw yourself over. You have to wait for your action gauge to build up then you can attack the enemy, but they can attack you if you're not playing.
Oh! Let me get back to Hope. He's like a emo version of Tidus. He becomes really dark due to a accident that happened between Snow and his mom, and he says things that makes you question his intentions. He's such a lame character. And Sazh, the black guy, uses two pistols. Okay? He's also old, has a afro which houses a baby chocobo, he's scared of everything, and to top it off, he hates the government. I think the game racist. And every female either has black, blonde, or pink hair. Why? I don't know.

If only amigo. Me and my friend spent all night playing it. I only got to play the first three mission, because I wanted to see the beginning for myself, but as my friend got through the first disk and got half way through the second disk, I realized that it just one of the FF games that they just tried to get on the market as fast as possible. They took no time to actually make up something new.... well except for the black guy of course, haha. I mean really? Every character is cliche, and poorly created. And to top it off, my friend's along with my own personal opinion say that you can only play the game for about a hour a day. It's like Devil May Cry 4. It supported multi runthroughs, but you only beat it once and you get bored with it. If you want to buy it, go for it. Me on the other hand? I'm a fan of SE and believe that they should be making new features. Not bringing old ideas that worked great for one game.
