.:~:. Rules .:~:.
Rules:
1. Gaia's ToS applies... duh. But don't worry. Its loosely applied.
2. No spamming... There will be a thread for ADVERTISING other guilds, and perhaps there will be sister-guilds later as well. And keep random threads to a minimum, I'll put up a Random Chat thread.
3. Swearing is allowed, but don't direct at any one person. This does not apply to the RP room between characters... (not authors, you can't swear at each other, but your characters can). (This applies basically to me, see the next rule... I need a Parental Advisory sticker... I say "********" a lot. )
4. LEAVE OUTSIDE ARGUMENTS OUTSIDE!!! I don't want my threads turning into ******** b***h sessions.
5. When in the RP, use Story Mode RPing, in third person. Here's some right/wrongs:
Story: Jim saw his friend. "Hey Kelly!" (right)
Action: *sees his friend* Hey Kelly! (wrong)
Third Person: Jim spoke up, "I don't want to fight you." (right)
First Person: I spoke up, "I don't want to fight you." (wrong)
6. No God Moding... What is God Moding? Let's take a look.
God Moding is when an RPC (role-player character/ role-playing character) acts like a god...
God Moding: Jim slashed Kelly's arm off.
Fair play: Jim slashed his sword at Kelly, aiming for his arm.
-See, in the first one, Kelly didn't have a chance to react. You have to give your opponent a chance to fight back.
-- However, you can god-mod if you are fighting a NON- RPC player, like an orc, someone who isn't controlled by someone else. Replace "Kelly" with "the orc" and there's an example.
God-Moding: Kelly unleashed a blast of fire at Jim. Jim took the hit and fell. He got back up, unharmed.
Fair Play: Jim took the hit. His clothes were slightly singed and he struggled a bit to pick himself up.
-Jim god-moded again, this time because he took the attack and was unharmed. This is only fair if Jim stated some kind of immunity or protection against fire previously... Other infractions are infinite blocking or infinite health/energy/magic/weapons/ projectiles (arrows/rocks)...
7. Use parentheses to speak not as your character. When in story mode and you want to say something to the writer and not their character, add your comments in parentheses... example"
((Hey Sara, you want to see my new artwork?))
Jim walked forward towards Kelly....
