Okay, this is an album with tributary songs to that band we all know and love.
Lemme just say, if you don't like "stringy" stuff, like violins, cellos, violas, etc., then this would be kinda dumb for you. But, if you are a person like me and you like orchestral stuff, then this will be surprisingly good.
It's a HUGE surprise, considering the printing errors that bespeckle the album.
On the cover, the veeeery front, it says that the people who made this, Vitamin (I think.), remade Sugar. I look on the back, for the rest of the songs, and Sugar was nowhere to be found! What the . . . ? Beware. On the back, it claims System of a Down is "new metal" (If you're going to stereotype a band, spell it right!), and "alternative", and that there are songs from Steal This Album!. Uhhhhh... I haven't heard any songs from STA!, even in the original piece, Mespot (MESPOT?! Like... mesmerizing marijuana? Mesmerising marijuana, itself, sounds better than "mespot" ... Who titles these pieces?!), that sounds like stereotypical System songs. (Middle Eastern melodies and stuff like that that's mostly on Toxicity because of the song Arto that's at the end of Aerials.)
M'kay. You want to know about the music, right? Weeeellll... Here's the track listing:
1.) Science
2.) Aerials
3.) Spiders
4.) Know
5.) Needles
6.) Forest
7.) Cubert
8.) Peephole
9.) Toxicity
10.) Mespot *ORIGINAL COMPILATION*
-Science is not a very good song to start out with. I think that's why System of a Down originally put this towards the end of Toxicity. But, this song is pretty well done.
-Aerials starts out with some eerie noise. I have no clue what it is. But I decided it was good enough to play along with my clarinet. The violin sounds like Serj's voice. I think, to perfectly imitate Serj's voice instrumentally, you can use either a clarinet or a violin. It's sexy. That's right, I SAID SEXY.
-Spiders was BEAUTIFUL. Again, the violin=Serj's voice. It was so... Ahhh... It made me forget that there were broken promises from this album.
-Peephole sounded like a movie song! It reminded me of the movie The Emperor's New Groove. It was... like a circus with elephants marching on a rainy day that suddenly gets stormy and thundery and lightning-y and stuff. It's cool!
-Mespot is, well, STEREOTYPING. It's using the keys used in Toxicity (the album) and stuff and, like, GAH! I don't know why this song makes me angry. It just does. I think it was the Japanese guy who did it. In Japan, they like to stereotype, so the blind people who call themselves otaku stereotype themselves and others. So yeah, it was the Japanese guy.
Um, yeah. I hope this is useful.
