Where this is all about________________________________________________________ Location: The Inn can be found just outside of a large busy city; however, due to the large forest surrounding it, the Inn maintains a rather mysterious reputation. There are only three paths leading to it and are fairly long. Description: When entering the Inn, the first room that can be seen is the 'main room' which consists of the stage and numberous tables on the left side, and the a bar on the right. The main sign-in counter can be found on the far wall. To both sides of the main counter, a set of stairs climbs up the back wall and onto the second level. All the rooms are located past these stairs on the second level. The hot springs can be entered from a door near the bar and are located outside. There are three to choose from: Male only, female only, and mixed.

♦How did you get here?♦ I inherited the Inn from my parents who left a number of years ago. I used to live here for a while alone, but once they passed the no-hunting off season rule, you could say I got a little bored so I needed some entertainment. And what's more entertaining than meeting stangers by the dozen who have to give me money for somewhere to stay? Nothing. Plus, now I have some personal slaves - - or what they like to call themselves 'employees', to my disposal. All in all, I think I'm going to enjoy this year.
A little fact you may not have known about me, but my last name isn't Winn, as much as it may suit me. My actual name is not up for discussion, but if you please, call me Mr. Winn. Makes me feel more, well, winning.

♦How did you get here?♦ I came to the Inn half a year ago. It was just after my father died. In truth, I couldn't face it so I left. My mother kinda let me go as she had other things to attend to, such as her next husband. But first thing you find once you're on your own, you need money. Not many places hire nowadays, especially young, untrained teens. So I found refudge in the only place I could, the Inn. Now I stay here and work as the receptionist and sometimes take the waitress position if need be. But it's pretty good here. Kail gives me food and board as long as I work, which I'm happy to do so. It gives me time to think and understand just what has happened and who I'm gonna be when the dust settles.
Although I am slighlty happy-gp-lucky, some find me a little weird as even though my father's dead, I spend time each night to write him a letter of what's going on in my life. I keep them in a little box beside my bed. I know it's kinda quirky, but you gotta find something that works for you, right?

♦How did you get here?♦ Funny thing, the story of how I started working for the Inn. The first time I stumbled upon seeing it, I actually was out in the surrounding forest, collecting herbs and various plants for making potions. You see, I use to live in a small hut, hidden by shadows of great trees a long while away from this Inn. But..something drew me in. Curiousity, most likely, got the best of me, as I left my basket of ingredients, and stepped for the first time past those front doors. It was an interesting place. The atmosphere was clean, fun, unexpected. Altogether, I guess you could describe it as..alluring. And it didn't take me long to grab a job application form, fill it out, and hand it in. And now..well, here I am. Recently, I have just finished moving away from my old home into a room here, at the Inn. It's much easier to get up and be ready to work in the serving area that way. As long as I'm never late, and prepared to run around, waiting on customers, guests, anyone who needs assistance, it all works itself out..
Of course.. I am still practicing my witchcraft. With my vacation days I'm saving up, I figure I might have some time to go out and travel for any extra items I need for mixtures. Meanwhile, I treasure a very ancient book of spells that was passed down along from family member, to family member. Most of my relatives are dead now.. Or, any that I'm aware of are long gone. There might be more out and about.. But, I honestly could care less about what they're up to. I have to say, I do enjoy working at the Inn. It's very refreshing to interact with others, rather than live out by myself in that gigantic forest. It makes my day to see customers smiling as I wait upon them. It's all worth the effort to help make their days brighter, by simply bringing them a platter of desert, or steamed vegetables. It might be silly to some.. But it's my job, isn't it?
Makes me smile... ♠Animals and nature in general.♠ ♦Witnessing someone laugh, and enjoy themselves (basically, seeing others happy).♦ ♠Going for a swim, either inside, or outside.♠

♦How did you get here?♦ Well where should I start... Right! We'll you could say I'm a rather charismatic actor and business man who employs his skills for the promise of riches for personal gain without the need to adhere to the code of pesky ethics or laws. That what I say to sweeten up my true profession... What can I say, I'm a con-artist! I'm a gambler! A liar! And I was damn good at it too! Sigh. But I am trying to get better... Ever since I got this job at the Inn I've had the chance to get away from the city and relax, even if this R&R is against my will. Which brings me to how I came upon this inn. Long story short, I did a con, people got angry, chased me away, I hid in the Inn 'til it was safe, and now I own my life to Mr.Winn who makes me work for him at the inn. Funny, eh?
There is still the slight gambling problem I have. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I, on occasion, try to scam people who stay at the Inn in a game of cards or something like that. Winn doesn't like that too much especially when those people storm out. I'm a sneak, a smooth-talker, a thief. I'll do anything I know I can profit from and stir clear of anything I know that won't. But don't let that stir you away. I'm actually quite friendly, even though I can be tricky and sly.

♦How did you get here?♦ My past, ...well if I must. I grew up like any other kid, except I never knew my parents. I was taken in by an old saintly sage from a small village - upon growing up I was ostracized from other kids and the townspeople. I didn't know why until they informed me at the tender age of eleven that I was found at birth in the carnage that was my former mother - now deceased. It was pure fornication and I have no idea who my father is, and in that respect nor do I care who he is. I left the village soon after eventually coming to a french speaking village. I picked up most of the language there, but due to some... circumstances that arose I had to leave yet again.
It is best that I do not get agitated or excited, or the demon inside me will come out, literally. He embodies the seven deadly sins and more. Too bad I didn't know who my father was, so I’d know what the hell my other half is.
I tried to find a relatively quiet place to stay and make an honest day's work when I came upon the inn. Mr. Winn was kind enough to accept me, but he hadn't truly seen me when I'm not quite myself. The inn is great though; there are people, but people without involvement. Small talk is good, relationships are bad for me. I think I could stay here for awhile. Plus with this gig there's always lots of liqour at hand. The stuff always calms me down.

♦How did you get here?♦ I've led a rather boring life. I was a genius throughout school and managed to skip grades on occasion. I was in choir throughout my time in school, and I also played a variety of instruments. I had never actually taken into consideration the fact that I could have gone to college to get a degree in music until one of my high school teachers suggested it to me. With a shrug of my shoulders, I said 'why not?' and went with it.
Now, I had a decent number of fans upon starting in the music business, but none of it seemed to satisfy me. That is, not until I arrived at the Midnight Inn and met Mr. Winn. It wasn't a big job or anything, but as long as I could please people with some simple, soft piano music, I would be forever happy. As long as I'm allowed to stay here at the inn and play for our darling customers, I'll always be happy. I'm kind to everybody, even to those that happen to be somewhat cruel towards me. I'm respectful towards everyone and I tend to try & help those in need.

♦How did you get here?♦ I wasn’t born this way. I was turned a werewolf. The man that turned me? I have no idea what happened to him. Ran away when he’d gotten his high from my struggle and terrified screaming. I guess that’s what a seventeen year old girl gets for jogging through parks alone at night. It was hard becoming what I am today. The changes… especially the first ones. Oh, I don’t know how I made it through the first ones. They were so painful. So painful. And the death and destruction I caused when I couldn’t control myself – It still eats away at me today.
I used to be a city girl. I was all about the bright lights and tall buildings. Not anymore. When I was newly turned, my body forced the transformation after I’d fought it off for too long, and finally, people were killed. I fled my beloved city, and roamed from town to town, struggling with my urges and never settling for too long. I avoided making friends and relationships. Saved myself a little bit of hurt that way. Not that I’d be able to tell them what I was anyway. One night, though, I stumbled upon this Midnight Inn. It became my safe haven. The forest beyond it appeared to be a perfect place for me to escape to on the nights I needed to change. No doubt there’d be deer and rabbits for me to chase instead of people. It seemed perfect. The very night I found it, I filed an application as a waitress and the owner was generous enough to provide me with a free room as long as I earned my keep.
I’m still scared I might lose control and hurt the people around me, but I’m very cautious now and much stronger than I was two years ago. The whole werewolf thing isn’t so bad anymore, I suppose.

Orchid runner, running smoothly. If but a little bumpy. Systems functional. For the moment. All in all, Nephele thought this was a rather resounding success.
It had been her new creation, some sort of transportation device working on unseen energy fields. Using the energy from its starting point, she had theorised that this wooden box, around an outhouse in size, could lock on to the nearest energy field, and use its energy to then propel it to the other location. Kind of like magnetism, she supposed, but a lot more complicated, and indeed, a lot more barmy. But, unlike most of her other magic experiments to date, this one was actually working!
Or so she thought. With a shuddering jerk, the Orchid runner began to materialise, although still continuing its forward trajectory. This materialisation appeared to happen inside some sort of inn, and indeed a sharp connection with a booth stopped the runner’s movement. Of course, this did not go without with an explosion of debris, splinters, and a green haired woman sent catapulting towards the bar, slumping over it as her body came to a halt.
Nephele remained motionless for a short while afterwards, before slowly beginning to stir. Picking up her hat from the floor next to her, she placed in at a rather jaunty angle on top of her messy, unnaturally coloured locks. Sitting up in a daze, she gave a bemused smile at the occupants. “Can I have a drink?” she asked, “I don’t really like eating splinters.”((Don't know if this is too crazy, but I thought this would get it going.))

 | Ella LeRoc | Ella had found herself gently tapping her finger against the bar top. Her head had found rest against her other hand as she spun dreams of a man in shining armour galloping towards her, his smile as bright as the sun itself. Golden locks bouncing with every stride his steed made. His eyes as dark as night itself. "ooooh," The hostess cooned. However, To her dislike, the day dreaming was cut short.
Not a moment later a strange lady had flown and crashed into the Inn. Panic immediantly met Ella as her shoulders jumped up. "You okay?" the hostess called hesitantly. With her red eyes examining the odd-coloured hair, Ella began to reply before stopping. Saddly, the girl had realized that she had nothing witty to say so she had to revert to the typical response of, "Um, sure. What would you like?" Ella blinked several times as her wonder began to die down and she could take her job seriously again. "We have water, juice, pop, and alcohol-you know, to help dull down the pain from...flying? That's what you were doing, right?" Ella knew it wasn't her job to meddle in guest's business, but this was strange enough she had to know. It also didn't help that today had been a slow day for the Inn...

{ Grax Koas }
Grax stumbled along a long dirt path, his head wound beginning to make him feel a little woozy. Blood was pooling up in his right eye and he had various other small cuts and wounds along his body. The young warriors shirt was torn to the point it was pointless for him to even be wearing it. He had torn his shirt on purpose and wrapped his many wounds as best he could using the cloth scraps. However, he was still in a lot of pain and needed a place to rest safely.
The young warrior hadn't a clue where he was or how he had come to be here. His swords and daggers were all safely put away in their sheathes and he continued on down this path, occasionally tripping and stumbling along the way. Once or twice he even collapsed face first into the dirt covered ground. After what felt like hours, he saw a building in the distance and smirked. "Well well, it's about damn time. They'd better have room for me to rest and recover." Grax muttered angrily to himself as he quickened his pace to a near run.
Upon reaching the building, he threw open the doors and stumbled inside, falling face first onto the cold floor. Grax groaned as he felt the pain rush through his body, but he forced himself onto his knees. Looking around, he smiled at the beautiful decor and the many people rushing to and fro in their work. "What is this place? I kind of like it." Grax muttered to himself quietly. He was unsure of what to do now, but he hoped that he could somehow get a bit of help and a nice bed to rest in until he was recovered. (( Hope you don't mind me using one of the characters from my book series "The Lands of Orath". sweatdrop If you don't like it, I can edit it or get rid of it. *shrugs* My character is actually where I get my username from. Kail WinnWhen Kail had found time to break from his obession of cleaning his hunting gun, he had entered into the lobby. His hands, wrapped around each other, had found a comfortable place against his chest as he looked for some object of entertainment. He could see, in the far back corner, Ella attending to a guest who had just jumped in as well as a few less active customers.
Something did break this little silent stare of his. A man who seemed to have been quite roughed up had just stumbled into the Inn. For now, he would play the stern yet seemly uninterested owner...it was his favourite person to play. So, with arms still crossed and his a cold emotionless face, Kail sombered over to the new customer. "This is Midnight Inn." Kail explained as he coldly glared the hurt man. "However, I do apoligize that my staff has not been here to properly greet you. We have been short these last couple days. So, how may I serve you? A drink perhaps? Room even? We have hot springs if that rather interests you." Kail stopped for a moment and let the silence sink in. His face had turned into a sly displeasure as he menacingly added,"But, if you can't pay, there will be a problem..." ((Nah, it's cool. We accept all guests...well, most razz So no worries smile ))

The injured mercenary turned his gaze upwards to the man glaring down at him and smirked a bit. "I've got a lot of gold if you take that. It's either that or I give you the treasure I have." Grax shrugged his shoulders and rose to his feet, wiping the blood from his face as best he could. "I'll be needing a room first and foremost. The second thing that could be beneficial to me would be bandages if you have those." The rugged man explained as he extended his hand to the man. "A hand shake? It's a formal type of greeting correct? Might as well."
Looking around at his surroundings, Grax smirked a bit and shrugged his shoulders. "It's a nice place you've got here. As soon as my wounds have healed enough, I'd like to try your hot springs if you'll let me. Those should help soothe my sore body a little more I think." The mercenary smiled at the man again and decided to wait for the time being for his response.

Aesto ×Chec ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ It happened to be another fine day at the inn. Slow but fine. People came and went, order and were served. Everything was peacefully in the little inn located somewhere in the forest outskirts of the city he not so long ago had feld. But something was about to happen and it was to be followed by a small and funny conversation.
"You little swindler! Get your filthy tricks out of my kitchen and never come back in here!" A booming voice roared out from behind the walls. Though no one came out of its doors. Instead, another almost laughing voice rang out. "Heh he. C'mon. It was a fair game of cards among friends. It's not my fault you started betting and were a terrible card player." "You rat! You tricked me into playing your game and you cheated! I saw that card you slipped under your sleeve! Now, get out or I'll throw you out!" "Now, now. We can talk about this can't we!" No more that haft a second of having said this, Aesto came tumbling out of the doors of the kitchen into next to the bar counter. There he lied for a moment before popping back up a brushing himself off and readjusted his hair pins before walking away, his hands tucked in his poked and a smug smirk upon his face for when he pulled his hands out of his pocket he brought forth the money he snatched from the cook before he tossed him out. But he had his fun and remember that he was actually a working class citizen now.
He looked about around and saw the head of some customers swivel quickly from him to the other side of the room to avoid the impression that they had been staring at him. It was then his eye glanced upon a fellow employee tending to an odd looking woman in a limp and tattered witch's hat. Continuing on he then saw his savior, his captor, and his boss: Mr. Kail Winn. Seeing they those two were currently taking care of the respective customers, Aesto went to work on the others who sat silently at the tables, getting them drinks, food, and whatever else, braving the journey to the window that connected to the kitchen knowing that inside lied a great and horrible beast: the cook!

Kail WinnKail eyed the man before a sly smirk crossed his face. "Gold, treasure. Doesn't matter. All I need is payment." Seeing the hand offered, Mr. Winn hesitated. As much as he loved to see and understand new people, physical contact with strangers always made him weary. Still, it was a guest so what choice did he have? Kail met the hand with his own and shook twice before pulling back. "We can get those both for you." He nodded once with his grin before the owner turned his head away, "Ella, Aesto, here now." Even though Kail was perfectly able to take care of a customer's demand by himself, he needed that small thrill of making his employees do some petty work for him.
Kail's arms had now moved to rest in his pockets. He pulled one hand upward to cover his mouth in a short yawn before replacing it to it's spot. Waiting for his workers to come, Mr. Winn turned back to his guest. His lips held in a straight line, "I apologize for the delay. But I do have some questions to ask of you. Which room would best suit you? Just a number is fine."

 | Ella LeRoc | Ella stood waiting for a reply from the odd haired girl when the kitchen doors burst open. Her less-than-trusting co-worker could be seen sprawled on the floor for a moment before picking up his composure. The hostess couldn't help but release a heavy sigh, 'What a guy... What a petty, immature, thieving, guy.' Her glare was obvious enough for anyone to guess what she was thinking. Yet again, Ella was never any good at hiding her feelings.
Soon enough, Mr. Winn's voice beckoned her to come. To ignore it was finacial death, so she had to go. But before she did, Ella turned to her current customer, "I'm sorry, but I gotta go attend to the owner. I'll be right back with you but for now feel free to take a seat at a table. If you need anything, just call." The hostess began to turn away when she stopped to add. "Oh, and my name's Ella. So please call me if you need anything." She offered a kind smile before bowing. After turning on a dime, she began to leave for her owner. On her way over, she hit Aesto on the back of the head, "Nice going, Con-artist." And soon she was at the side of Mr. Winn.

Grax smirked a bit and pulled out a hefty pouch full of nothing but gold coins. Holding it up, he poked it a few times and chuckled. "I do hope this will be enough. I have plenty more though in case you still desire it." The mercenary had a smug grin on his face as he stared at the owner and the two employees whom he called. Upon hearing the question about what room he would prefer, Grax immediately picked a number and held up one hand, palm flat with all fingers held out. "Room 5 if that is available.
