It was probably my favorite of the DLCs. It gave a large are to explore that The Pitt just didn't deliver. Plus the new shotgun was pretty epic.

FireKunai Yeah, Point Lookout was probably the best. Heaps better than the rest (Not including BS) My obsession with Pre-War stuff makes me say Op:Anch is best IE storylinewise >_> But Point Lookout was amazing, I love the Lever Action Rifle. Plus, I own me a fancy schmancy manor in PL now tee hee

I went there WAY too early; I brought me back a double barrel, armor and moonshine! Ok-ok.. and teddy bears. I messed around in the mansion and visited the lighthouse! Liked what I saw actually, and I can't wait to really run through the place. It was much better than The Pitt, which was basically a Raider Hole with a lock I can't enter. I wasn't too impressed.
Now that my lockpick is high enough, that reminds me I need to go back..
The Alien ship now, that was hard as hell! Yeah, I ran into that s**t at level eight. All I saw was this house that had been plowed through, I followed the crash trail and found a ship. I was like, "wtf?" and then I was abducted. You know that is just my luck, but I blame Dave.

I actually stumbled across that place accidentally with my most recent character. (Revenge of the Nerd. Science skill + melee weapons. Kinda awesome.) I was on my way to the regulators HQ when Fawkes ran off after a Deathclaw. I went to chase them and, next thing I know, I was floating. but back on the topic, Point Lookout was one of the most well done DLCs IMO. Sure, the whole battle of the immortals plot was a little wonky, and you lose a piece of your brain (which becomes the classiest home decoration around) but it was a nice change in scenery, and the axe is pretty danged sweet.

You know, I'm noticing that. Most people tend to just stumble across that place randomly. I found the place headed from the Republic of Dave. Needless to say I had a lot of really neat stuff for my lvl8 afterwards. I cannot wait to go back to Point Lookout because with all the rep it has; I'm pretty stinking jealous! All the weapons and loot, new s**t, gimme-gimme lol. I saw the tribals, and I thought of Crow. I know the unconfirmed rumors of him "possibly" coming from Oasis but, I think Crow is from Point Lookout. I could have been killing his friends and family XD But you can decorate with your own brain? O I have to go back to Point Lookout lol.

I adore that DLC. It's nice to have a large, new open place to explore. I liked it's theme too and how it took place in a swamp-like environment. Not to mention all the little quirks and stories that also tie in with the DLC such as the crazy religious cult, the inbred hicks, and the conflict between Desmond and the other guy (damn I forgot his name sweatdrop ).
The new weapons from that DLC were pretty nice too such as the Backwater/Lever Action Rifle and the Double-Barreled Shotgun. I love that rifle now >_>

There'll be a part along the plot where you'll be in a room with a bunch of brain chunks, but the only one you can pick up is the "familiar" one on a table in the middle. As well as being one of the best home decorations, though, I hear that it makes for one of the best things to blast out of the Rock-it launcher. (again, just what I've heard, don't quote me on that)

I really enjoyed Point Lookout - it was big enough to be interesting, you could still travel back and forward to the Capital Wasteland and there was lots to do.
I must admit though, my biggest thumbs up about PLO is the glitch that allows you to have weapons repaired up to 100% ... that made my life so much easier early on in the game!

There's a glitch that does that in Point Lookout? '_'? My character has maximum repair so I didn't know about it.
