You find this young girl sprawled in the snow, her red jacket like a splotch of blood on the otherwise pure snow. Your business in these mountains is your own, whether you are lost, just passing through, or hunting is immaterial. Her breathing is shallow, her feet bare to the bite of the chill snow, and freezing winds. She lays face down, obviously asleep. How she came to be out here is a mystery, as no footsteps surround her, neither her own or another's. Her hood is down, her strangely white hair fanned out around her head, barely noticeable against the snow.

As the other girl fell from the sky, the frail girl in the snow shuddered gently, slowly coming awake. He eyes opened to a world of white. She went to take a deep breath in and sat up, nearly choking on the snow that did not melt in her already cold mouth. As she sat up, the world about her spun, dizziness confusing her further. All around her was pure pristine snow, nothing but her imprint to disturb it.

Wait. Why wasn't she cold? She should be cold, right? And, where was she? Who was she? Why couldn't she remember anything? She looked around frantically for a moment, but seemed to not see the world around her, finally succumbing to tears.

Her tears swiftly dried as she heard... a voice? Clear out here in the middle of nowhere? Wait, a cry for help. She stood swiftly, on shaking legs, and slowly stumbled to where she saw the pale girl laying. As she reached her, she knelt in the snow beside her. Her eyes widened as she spotted the blood dotting the snow and she tore off a strip from the ragged shirt she wore beneath the red jacket.

She offered the strip of cloth silently.

The small girl leaned forward slightly, wrapping the strip of clothe tightly about the wound. If they could they would have to get it wrapped better professionally soon, or risk losing the leg. Though out here in the cold it wouldn't be needed as much as it would if it were warmer and disease ran rampant. She opened her mouth to say as much, but could force no sound through her lips. Her eyes teared slightly. She couldn't remember who she was, what she was doing here, not even her own name. And now she couldn't speak as well? She may as well be dead.

As she finished wrapping the other girl's leg, she sat, bare legs folded beneath her, peering at her hands now folded on top of her knees.

The mute girl tilted her head to the side, as if contemplating her question. Was she cold? As she thought about it, she decided no, she wasn't really cold. Not to the point of discomfort anyway. Her gray eyes flashed in the sunlight as she shook her head slightly, pulling the hood of the jacket up a bit.

She looked up at the other girl as she asked her question, but before she could attempt to answer, the girl slipped and fell first face into the cold snow. The smaller girl hurriedly bent and helped the other to regain her composure. To answer the other's question, she shook her head, opening her mouth to try to speak again. And as last time, no sound escaped.

Her pale eyes looked up at the girl doubtfully, a look of confusion crossed her face before she dropped her eyes to the snow. As if of their own accord, her fingers began tracing in the snow. She drew a few rudimentary figures... people? And behind them, were those, buildings? She looked up at the other girl, a question behind her eyes.
