Some interest was expressed in learning how to heal. Well the fact is before you can heal others it is important to purify yourself. What follows are instructions for a very simple energy cleansing technique. this is one i designed but ive had alot of non-magick using friends try it and they thinks its awsome(they usually fall asleep but thats ok). this excersice is for relelving stress, cleansing yourself before ritual or magick working, or just incorporated into everyday to improve quality of life.
Before any magick is ever done a key aspect is energy cleansing. The reason for this is very simple. As we go through our daily lives stress, problems, people around us, and our own personal emotional processes changes your energy aura. In some cases this may be a good thing. But more importantly and more frequently it is a bad thing. These stresses create holes in your aura and construe your natural energy signature. So it is a common and wise practice to clean your energy so that these damages don’t throw off the results of your magick.
There are many ways to go about cleaning your energy. The following example is a simple, starter visualization. You don’t have to use it, finding them is more than easy enough for anyone willing to visit a local book store or search online. But I’ve used this visualization and recommended it to many friends and they have all said it was easy and helped to relieve stress as well as promote clear concise thinking.
Find a quiet and dimly lit place. This will help during the beginning. Once you have become accustomed to this technique it may be used anywhere no matter what noise or lighting is around. Either sit or lay down based on your own personal comfort. The purpose is to be comfortable without the risk of falling asleep. Some try the lotus position others try sitting Indian style. Now notice your breathing. In and Out. In and Out. Slow it down controlling the exact speed so that it is just fast enough for comfort but not so fast that you’re breathing heavy. Now you are ready to begin.
First see your body as a bright red light. This red light symbolizes negative emotions. If you can think of a specific emotion that will help strengthen your cleansing meditation. If you're cleansing more than one emotion just focus on all negative emotions instead. With your inhale imagine a soft blue light flowing into your body through your nose. This light fills your head, then your chest, then your arms and legs. As you exhale breath out the red light. Do this over and over. Feel your body relax as all the negative emotions leave and positive emotions flow into your body.
These emotions should be defined by you. If you’re stressed then the red symbolizes stress and the blue is comfort. If you are afraid then the red is fear and the blue is security. Continue this in and out breathing until you have both calmed yourself and have rid yourself of the negative emotion.
Though fairly simple this visualization is very powerful. Do this before any ritual or meditation to make them more powerful and more effective. Also doing it everyday or whenever under stress can greatly improve your quality of life. Remember that the purpose of magick is to improve your life and the lives of those you interact with.
