I've been thinking about this for a long time. Abortion is legal, right? This means that a woman has the right to chose whether she wants to be a mother or not. If she doesn't want to be a mother, she has the option of terminating the pregnancy.
What about the fathers? Why don't men have a right to chose not to be a father? We are supposed to have equal rights! Women are always going on about not being treated equally. Why is it only an issue when women are NOT benefiting from the results?
If a woman chooses to give birth to a child that the father doesn't want, he has to pay child support for 18 years. I think a father should have a right to say no. Especially because he has no say in whether or not the pregnancy is terminated.
It sounds horrible, but it's fair. If women can chose not to be mothers, men should be able to chose not to be fathers.

I think abortion is a horrible thing!!!!! How can these women go about their lives with the mark of a murderer on their conscious! If women dont want their babies, they should just send them to an adoption agency! ******** killing them, b/c that is truly a heartless act committted by a woman. To truly just do that, those women should be labeled "monsters" by society. As for the men, if they dont want the baby, send it to the adoption agency, not the abortion clinic. They should be deemed monsters as well if they allow abortion to happen

I agree with you totally Vengeful, the baby is as much the fathers as it is the mothers, and I don't think that abortion is wrong, what if it was unintentional i.e.if she was attacked in THAT way,it's not fair that they should be put through childbirth because of some drunken idiot who attacks her,and they shouldn't be branded monsters, for example, what if circumstances change and the baby would be brought into the world with a stable family, and the baby is still a bundle of cells at the times abortion is available,so they sort of aren't killing it,because it isn't really properly alive yet.

Since it was brought up, I'm pro life except for in the case of rape, incest, if the mother's life is in danger, or the baby will be born with a painful incurable genetic disorder.

See i'm looking at it in different ways. yea its killing a person that has feelings yet the baby isn't fully made. If the father doesn't want the child and the mother feels the same way yea go for it. But if you're gonna have the child and then pass it on then you might as well have had the abortion because you choose not to care for them. So really at both angles you're doing something bad in a way. But me honestly I would want to weigh my options and talk to the "father" of the child 1st and my bff and my older sister. and my mom before making a life changing decision like that.

ok, i see how rape would sort of influence this decision, but regardless, you're still murdering a life. Even when the child is just a single cell, it is fully alive. Granted, it may not have organs, but it still has its DNA already in progress. You cant just go on killing the children just because of a nightmare like that. If the parents can grow to love the child, they could easily lock away the rape in their mind and never mention it again. The father has to be the one to show the way of the world to the child and that cant happen if there is no child to teach
