Welcome to Never Land

The year is 3010 and the world has gone to s**t. There are no more different world leaders, now only one has risen to power. As the economy went bad fast, people began signing up for scientific experiments to get by. Those who survived and went on to pass their altered genes to their children, their childrens children and so fourth. Now only very few 'normal' people populate the Earth and all of the few are extremely rich, each supporting the one world leader.

Over the years, the genes began to mutate, some tapping into the animal buried deep within our own DNA and enhancing animal traits. The enhanced traits lead to animal parts, usually ears and tails but occasionally it would give them the ability to shape shift. Those who weren't born with enhanced animal traits seem to have strange powers. They seem to be able to do many different things such as control time, bend light to their will and preform mind-bending illusions that can kill. For what is an illusion if your mind thinks its real? Others weren't so lucky and their DNA mutated horribly. These became known as 'infected' and it mutated into a virus that wiped out much of population. Now most of the inhabitants of Earth have built up immunities to the virus, no longer being effected. However, there are still many who are infected. They are called 'The Creatures' or 'Zombies' though they fear the light.

The lone government plunged the world into darkness when the virus broke out and they use any kind of fear tactic possible to gain supporters and to keep the current supporters loyal. This government banished those who would not bow down to the power. Most have taken refuge in a city that once was called Tokyo. Now, however, it is known as 'Never Land'. Now take heed, stranger and find a safe place to stay for the night for if the Creatures get you then you shall be no more. However, careful you are in the day light, be wary of the shadows for they take refuge in them when the sun is still in the sky.

Rules

1.) This is a semi-lit to literate role play. No chat speak, l33t speak. No using ** for actions. If you need to speak out of character then use (( )) [ ] {{ }} . One liners are okay once in a while but don't make it a habit. Post AT LEAST one paragraph (5 sentences) per post.

2.) This is a YAOI RP. Yaoi means that it guy x guy. If you don't like it then don't join, simple as that.

3.) I am God here. What I say goes! If you mess up real bad then you're SOL. If you piss me off then you're SOL. Point is - break the rules and I'll break, I mean black list you.

4.) Follow Gaia TOS. I've never been in trouble with Gaia before and I don't intend to start now.

5.) Romance is fully encouraged but if it gets above PG 14 or something then either do a time skip or take it to PMs. I also dislike instant romance unless the characters have a history with each other.

6.) PM your profiles and label them 'Stand and fight'. If you fail to do so, your profile will be ignored and you will not be able to post in here. If you post without submitting a profile to ME then I will delete your post and you will black listed.

He was taught at a very young age to avoid the Creatures at all costs and stay in the light and never stay out after dark. That had been the way of his life has always been like. When he was young, the broken city he lived in was his entire play ground along with the other children, as it seemed there was a bit of a 'baby boom' around his time of birth.♦

The Dark Magician

Day break was just beginning and the Creatures began hissing, slinking back into the shadows in which they came. A lone figure was on all fours, breathing heavily as blood surrounded him and pooled underneath him. Silvery hair was stained with the dark red color of blood that matched smudges on his face. His clothes torn and ragged. Blood dripped slowly from a large wound in his side. Each time a drop hit the pool, it rippled beautifully as it glowed and sparkled in the early morning sun.

A few, braver creatures braved the pain of the sunlight and lunged at him. The figure, which one could see was male, leapt away though falling to one knee. The Creature growled and ran at him. Ignoring the burning pain in his side, the male stood, making a few signs with his hands before his one viable eye widened, locking onto the Creature. "Fire!" He shouted and the Creature was engulfed in flames. It screamed in agony and fell to the ground.

The boy looked at the other Creatures, daring them to come at him. Daring them to be brave enough to face a extremely painful death. The Creatures and the boy locked eyes in what seemed to be a staring contest before the rising sun made them hiss and take off towards their shelters. He remained rigid, waiting a few minutes before he sighed, relaxing and seeming a lot less threatening. Lifting his face towards the sun, he smiled slightly as it warmed his pale face. Getting to his feet after a minute, he couldn't help but hiss in pain as his body screamed at him to stop. He knew, however that despite that it was now day light, there was still dangers though they were considerably less than at night. Gritting his teeth and clenching his jaw, he limped towards where his home was, grateful that he had, once again, survived his night training.

As time passed, he got closer and closer and his little 'neighborhood' as his grandfather called it came into view. Kids were laughing and playing, unaware of what the adults went through to provide them with the safest and possible childhood. He smiled as he remembered being like that at one point in his life and was lost in thought until someone called his name. "Kurotsu!" The silver haired boy inclined his head towards the voice, seeing a young girl. "Hey, imouto-chan." He called back with a grin, despite his injuries. The girl with pink hair stopped in front of him, panting heavily. "Where were you? Don't tell me you were doing Night Training again! Mom's going to have your head when she sees you like this!" The boy now known as Kurotsu chuckled as one of his arms were put around the smaller girl's shoulders.

His life was pretty good, despite everything that had transpired. The sun still rose each day and grass still grew wherever the cracks in the pavement were. Flowers still bloomed each spring and there was still an abundance of animals. Even though Kurotsu and his little sister that was helping him back to their home along with many others of his age and younger were born into such a harsh and unforgiving world, there was still hope. There was still light. There was still life.
