Character Guidelines
There are a few things to consider before you make your profile.
1. The title's format is a simple and functional one. It makes things easier for everyone. The title of the thread MUST include the following in this format:
first and last name; age; gender
Example: Mary Jones; 25; female;
2. A character profile shows what we can expect from you, not only in terms of creativity, but also when it comes to correct grammar and punctuation. Keep it clean. You're given up to a week to fix, n** and tuck everything. It's enough time to whip up a decent character.
3. The character limit at the moment is one.
4. We aren't looking for cookie cutters here. We aren't looking for the sad emo boy in New York living in a trailer with his junkie mom and whose best friend is a frog. We want realistic characters that are capable of development.
5. No one is perfect and that still remains true even with fictional people. Please don't make Mary Sues or Gary Stus, because not only will it ruin our fun, but it will ruin yours. Not only do they not exist in the real world, they're almost impossible to plot with in the role play world, and that creates a block for all of us. Characters like this will be rejected. Put some thought into your applications, and everything should run smoothly.
6. Pictures are allowed (just don't stretch the board), but they are not substitutes for physical appearance. All fields must be filled.
7. This is a semi lit-literate guild. Please remember this.
8. Logic and common sense are your friends. So are grammar, punctuation, capitalization and spelling. Not a very good speller? We strongly suggest a spell checker.
