I'm looking for some advice.
I have a friend (or it might be more than one person, I'm not 100% sure) who is depressed and suicidal. You guys might/might not be familiar with formspring, but basically people leave you anonymous questions. I've been getting a lot recently about being depressed and about suicide, and I'm trying my best to give good answers, but I don't know how to get through to this person. I've said I'll be there for them, I've asked them to talk to their parents/a counselor at school, etc., but I don't feel like I'm making a difference. I've been asking for them to talk to God, I've been giving them Bible quotes (ex. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17: "Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.") But I don't know what to say anymore...
I just was hoping for anything you guys think I could use. I'm not a psychologist, I don't know what the best things to say are; I don't know if I'm helping improve the situation. (I hope I am). At the very least, I could use some prayers for this person; they really need it.
