I thought I'd share something I received today from Prince Joker, our current leader.

It has been quite a long time and I am sorry about that. Between work and personal matters, I have had no time for Gaia at all over the past year. I am glad to see that Guild has still be fairly - and surprisingly - active, but I have finally accepted that I probably will not be able to return to it, or Gaia, for quite some time. As a result, I have come to the conclusion that the Disney Guild requires new management.
After some thought, I have decided that a friend of mine, Nicolas Coay, would be an adequate replacement. While he is two years younger than me, I have worked with him previously on other sites, specifically proboards, and I know him to be a dedicated and active participant. On top of this, I have spoken with him about the Guild and is he interested in helping rebuild and maintain it. I have never met him personally, but I have come to trust his judgement and I believe will do just fine as Captain. To top it all off, his favorite Disney characters are also the villains, so he clearly has good judgement. Of course, he takes it a bit further so that his favorite characters are always the villains, period, but I do not think this is relfection of his own character.
In addition, Sir Coay prefers to have a Vice Captain, a position I have never been prone to use. Because of this, we currently have no Vice Captain and have suggested to him that you would be a suitable candidate for this role. I want him to pick his own Vice Captain, but I did want you to be aware that you will very likely be his choice, as I will not be able to fill the role myself.
The reason I am sending all of this information to you is that I have always viewed you as the Guild's most active member and I did not want to make such a change without your opinions first. I want to be certain that you approve before I hand the Guild over to Sir Coay. If you wish to speak to him personally, his username is [Nic Coay.]

I will be sad to see our Prince leave us, but I say we should welcome that which he sends us with open arms. In the meantime, I'm going to clean up as many of the threads as I can.
