Hello, while te con pastel is busy, I will be your Spanish teacher for an indefinite period of time. I have three years experience with the Spanish language. I'll start the lessons in a week, so anyone who wants to learn should send me a Private Message, and I shall add them to the list of students.

Hola, mientras que te con pastel está ocupada, seré tu profesor de Español por un periodo de tiempo indefinido. Tengo tres años de experiencia con el idioma Español. Comenzaré las clases dentro de una semana, así que los que quieren ser estudiantes deberían enviarme un Mensage Privado, y los añado a la lista de estudiantes.

List of students/Lista de estudiantes:

FOR ADVANCED to EXPERT LEARNERS:
PM iNob, who will be helping with teaching specific advanced subjects. Or post here, and I will PM him for you.

I would like some practice with:

* Direct indirect objects
* Reflexive verbs
* Advanced verb conjugations, especially using helping verbs ((Like: I should have gone))

But since these will be for mostly newbies, please feel free to teach at their level 3nodding

Apple, I'd gladly teach you if you want and we can have conversations in Spanish too if you wish. : D
If you have Skype or MSN that'd be the most direct way. If not, PMs work fine too.
: D

I may not always have internet though. My city only is getting a few hours a day due to the earthquake and my family and I are going to Santiago tomorrow morning to check out their apartment there . . . but still, I'd gladly help.

//Edit:
(Thought I'd correct a few errors . . . don't shoot me. ^^;; )

When one uses mientras like that, the subjunctive must be used. It is because two actions are happening with one being in the future. Por is used due to time following. Por is always used in regards to time. (Por dos horas = for two hours.) Idioma is a masculine noun. Clase is a feminine noun. I changed the end to plural -- el (not sure if it has an accent or not, I've seen it both ways but mainly without) que is now los que, etcetera -- because I'm assuming that we are talking to an audience and it avoids the number confusion caused. (El que responding to one general person while los añado refers to more than one.) My Guatemalan friend said it is fine to say los añado even if we are speaking in the future while my Chilean parents told me to put it in the future. (I put both just because I don't know which is more correct.)

@ iNob: I should perhaps add to title that I'll be teaching European Spanish.
I admit I messed up with 'los clases' and 'para', but I'm sure I wrote 'sera' right. El can be written one way, el (with accent, I am currently using an English keyboard) means 'he/him'. 'El que', then, means 'he who'.

I have no clue where te con pastel is with their lessons, but here are a few things that I could need help with... xd

  • Para vs. Por
  • Preterite vs. Imperfect
  • Vosotros conjugations, since you're teaching European Spanish... (I played through final fantasy 4 in spanish and it was 90% vosotros, so I'd kinda like to learn it lol.)

(as for the poll, I think that "por qué estás aquí?" is pretty basic, but I said mediocre since that's what I am. razz )

I don't understand the comment about será . . . ? @-@

For what you just said reiterates why I changed it to plural. You said, "He who wants to be a student should send me a Private Message and I will add them to the list of students." You are using a singular and plural at the same time in the same sentence with reference to one another. You would either have to make it plural as I did -- so that it states those who . . . I will add them -- or make the whole sentence singular.

I thought that I'd add links to examples where it says el que without an accent. I'm not religious, but both are from bible verses. (Of course it could be erratas. I lack an actual class telling me a rule in regards to él que vs el que.)

Example 1
Example 2
Lesson on the use of la/lo/las/los/el que (without accent)

I know that's basic, I put it as a joke, as in, if you're advanced at Spanish, why are you here in this thread?

r/R ere (said like erey, but no elongation on the ey)
