Kimiko walked in and sat down next to the window. "Sensei, when's the lesson gonna start?" she asked. She was excited, since she'd never handled a weapon in her life because her aunt thought she was gonna hurt herself, which she probably would, though accidentally of course.

A girl piped up from the back of the class,"you probably would hurt yourself. better just stick with wooden daggers." Maria had seen the other girl trip before she got into class.

Yume glanced around at the other students. She laughed quietly, not loud enough for anyone to hear, when the girl piped up about saying she would get hurt with wooden daggers. Yume's tail twitched slowly as she waited patiently for class to start.

Kimiko looked outside and saw other students walking. She looked around, wondering what people were thinking. Although she could, she didn't read anyone's mind. Their business and thoughts are their own and not mine, she thought to convince herself that she shouldn't. She took a peek and heard a jumble of voices. The loudest one was a laugh from Yume. She smiled and closed her mind from the voices.
