Okay, yes, I've got a shiny and because I'm a child I have decided to show it. In three rather large jpeg images. Yes! o/

Yep! Here we go! One spinning wheel! Ashford Traveller, scotch tension, currently unfinished and awaiting a clear garage so I can wax it. That blob on the treadle? ...I think it's the spinning wheel oil. I hope the tinted wax will disguise it.

And the beginnings of yarn! Bright turquoise corriedale. I have a bit of an undertwist problem, so we'll have to see if it turns into real yarn or fall apart into a mess!

How much did that cost you? And where did you get it from?

I got it... actually, I got it from Ebay! I knew the seller, though - she's the one who taught me to use a drop spindle, so I remembered what her shop was called. Cost me £222 - the prices had shot up at the beginning of Feb, but some of the major UK dealers were selling old stock on Ebay for the old prices. I'd initially planned on getting a Kromski Minstrel, but in the end I thought the sturdier, more ubiquitous Ashford was the practical choice XD
