Steven looked to Nadia once they had finished the set, "What was wrong with you tonight?" He asked into her ear. There was enough familiarity between them so that he could be close and not irritate her, "You seemed off the whole time."

Nadia's face was flushed, and she was unusually hot. She sighed and wiped at the sweat, and looked at Steve. She shrugged, not really knowing. If she did, she would have told him. "I don't honestly know. I don't really feel good."

Steven nodded, they had been playing a lot lately, "Don't worry about the next set, ill take care of it." It would be awkward though, it was just the two of them and a keyboard player (who realy had almost no tallent). But he knew not to work her this bad when she felt off, "Just drink some water and rest, kay?"

Nadia just shook her head at his suggestion. She knew what would happen if he only had the keyboardist, and she wasn't going to put the strain on him. "I'm fine, I promise. I just need some water." She picked up the water bottle next to her and chugged half of it.

Steven shook his head, "Dont hurt yourself, it would be hard to replace someone with your kind of talent..." He would make this gig shorter anyways, just so she could get some rest. Steven had enough cash to last... half the week. Mabie he would skip a meal, move some numbers, just so long as he kept his guitar and his appartment.

Nadia's body was used to strain, considering the fact that whenever they went anywhere, she insisted on carrying all of the heavy equipment herself. So, she compromised. "I'll rest for ten minutes. Then we can start again." She drank the rest of the water in her bottle and sat down on one of the bigger amps.

"Whatever makes ya happy..." But the truth was, it made him happy too. This was just another paycheck if it wasnt for working someone as gifted as Nadia. She understood the music, unlike so many other overemotional emo girls that had tried to make it in this buisness...

Music had been what had helped Nadia get out of her house, and she was forever grateful to it. That was the reason she understood it as well as she did. Nadia took a scrunchie out of her pocket and put her hair up. When her time was up, she felt a bit better, and she got up and smiled at Steve. "Ready."

Steven began the song that Nadia loved the most, the one that he had secretly wrote for her... She had dissmissed it as some sort of lovie dovie friendship song that always got them money, but it was definately for her... In truth, he had never been closer to anyone than he now was to Nadia, though he would never admit it.

Nadia got lost in the music, something she'd been doing since she was 10 years old. She sang at the parts hs was supposed to, played her guitar chords effortlessly, and closed her eyes and swayed to the music as they played. The crowd was going wild for it, and she was happy that music made them as happy as it made her.

They would almost deffinately get the usual questions when this was over, "Are you two dating?" "No..." "Oh... So does that mean you are available?" "No." the second no was always easier. Soon the set was over and they would all go home, "Hey, Nadi, could you give me a ride home?" he asked, "My bike got stolen... again."

Nadia was on her second bottle of water, and she had already chugged 3/4's of it. She was getting flushed again, and she held the cold bottle up against her forehead. She was glad that they would be able to leave after this next set. She looked over at Steve with sympathetic eyes when he said that, and she nodded. "Sure I can."

"Ill drive, dont worry." He rubbed several beeds of sweat off of her forehead with a rag that he kept in his pocket, "And again, try not to wear yourself out." The next set went smooth and slow, then he helped Nadia to her car, carrying both of their guitars.
