Personality: Gareth is a highly ambitious and intelligent young man. While he generally mixes well with friends and allies, he deals with his enemies with extreme prejudice. Gareth is a ruthless and efficient soldier in the field and he cares little of what others say about him. He places his duty and ambitions far above his emotions, making him a dangerous enemy.
Background: Gareth Larsa was not originally raised on Tartarus. Having been born on Earth, Gareth served in the US Army Rangers ever since he turned eighteen. Having a father as an army general meant that he spent his entire life around military people and their customs. Gareth had an illustrious record during his time on Earth, having participated in the most number of tours for any soldier below the age of twenty-one.
Having reached the rank of lieutenant by the age of twenty-two, he was transferred to Tartarus to 'give a little backbone to the military there'. Just a month ago, he and his captain were assigned to escort a 'high-priority prisoner' across the city. Rebels attacked the convoy and managed to kidnap the 'prisoner'. Gareth lost both his captain and his right eye in the skirmish. Having recently been promoted in order to replace his captain, Gareth vows to put an end to the conflict on Tartarus, one way or another.
Notes: Gareth is a skilled sharpshooter and is no stranger to urban combat. But he has a relatively low tolerance for alcoholic beverages and tries his best to avoid them altogether.

Personality: Scar is quiet most of the time but is always willing to help an ally in need. He is always glad to guide new people wherever possible but he can be seen to be very tense and serious at times. Scar absolutely hates the government and their law enforcement and would go to any lengths to watch someone else take over. But Scar is selfless and would willingly risk life and limb to save a friend.
Background: Scar was born and raised on this planet, even before it was renamed from Hemera to Tartarus. His parents were among those who were arrested shortly after the Gellard incident. They died a cruel death whilst in detention and Scar has never forgiven the government for it. Vowing his revenge someday, he became one of the first few members of the Iron Hammer Faction.
Scar lives undercover as a local mechanic, working on automobiles for the middle class citizens of Joth, the capital of Tartarus. He tries to step in as often as possible whenever he sees Civil Guards raiding a suspected civilian's residence. Along with the leaders of the Iron Hammer Faction, he has big plans to overthrow the current government and restore peace to the people of Tartarus.
Notes: Scar carries a few tools with him at all times. He is also quite handy with electronic hardware. Unknown even to Scar, he has a long lost older brother.

Personality: Tori appears to be a very shy and troubled young girl. She has tendencies to overreact emotionally, even in public. Tori can be friendly with others if they are shown to sincerely care for her. Tori can otherwise be very unpredictable.
Background: Tori is in fact a very mysterious girl. According to her story, she was an orphan from birth and was rumoured to be a test subject for the Thaddeus Corporation. One day, the convoy that was transporting her was attacked by rebels and she soon disappeared from the government's sight, living as one of the numerous civilians in a poorer district in Joth.
Tori now lives with two foster parents who receive constant help from the Iron Hammer Faction, despite their refusal to actually join the rebels, claiming to not want to get involved in the conflict. However, much of what the government or anyone else knows about her is actually false... Who is she, really?

Personality: Lyss will act very sweet towards customers, but this is merely a guise that she puts on to stay out of detection. Truthfully, she's a very tough and brutal person. This describes both her battle style as well as her general attitude towards life. She doesn't sugarcoat things and she's always blunt. Lyss is loyal to her friends and will gladly risk her life to save their life. However, that type of friendship takes a long time for her to build up as she is slow to trust others. She's not very well-mannered either.
Background: Lyss was born on Tartarus. Her mother died shortly after her birth, so it fell to her dad to raise her. He raised her well and they had a very close relationship. After the attack and destruction of Gellard, Lyss' dad was taken custody of and their old shop was ransacked. Lyss had hidden away on her father's orders and while it kept her safe, she wounded herself heavily when the building was set to burn. Fortunately, she got out alive though her left arm was badly burned and her right eye had been severely damaged by a piece of shrapnel. She doesn't know exactly what happened to him, but she's fairly certain he died a horrible death.
A few weeks later, she joined the Iron Hammer Faction. She rebuilt a shop for herself in Joth where she retains a disguise of normalcy. However, she spends a lot of time working for the Iron Hammer Faction; providing provisions as well as coming along on raids. Despite having no desire to rule herself, Lyss is striving for peace. She's confident that the rebel leaders will be able to rule much better than the current government.
Notes: Lyss used to get into plenty of street fights, so she's no stranger to combat. She never goes anywhere without her switchblade, which she keeps handy in her pocket. Ever since she got her prosthetics, she's been training to use them every day.

Weapons: scalpels lots and lots of scalpels that she uses solely for battle. they rest in a case on her right leg where she can reach them easily. mostly she uses a small gun however and tries to avoid close combat.
Prosthetics:
- Cybernetic eye: it's like a mini computer attached to her brain. it allows her to see heat signatures; x-ray things; see tiny detail/vast distances and access a medical dictionary. she only has one; it's her right eye (this causes her eye to be red).
- Right arm: scalpels, bonesaws, the scalpels are in the fingers of her right hand
- Left Arm: drills, syringes (which are sometimes loaded with knockout serum).
Personality: she believes very strongly in helping others. She's a workaholic and throws herself into her work. That was the reason that she got her implants. So she would have an easier time at work. because she was always studying she didn't have friends as a child. This means that her social skills are greatly lacking. She knows how to interact with people on a professional level but once you leave the professional sphere she is at a loss for how to interact with others.
She likes animals and has 2 cats and a dog at her home. The deaths of her parents devastated her and only served to reinforce her workaholic behavior. She was utterly disgusted and horrified at the behavior of the goverment in reaction to the bombings (having treated several of the victims of Government brutality.) deciding that the only way to help others was to join the rebels she sought out their leader and managed to join their ranks as a doctor. (since they didn't have one)
Background: Dr. Marie was born to the Doctors Fredrick and Clarisse. She was raised from birth with the expectation that she would follow in her parent's footsteps. she went to the best schools and had the best tutors. she skipped several grades over the years and entered the most prestigious college on Tartarus at the age of 17. she graduated with her Doctorate at the age of 26 and has had her own practice ever since.
Her parents died in the bombings of Gellard where they were working to help the lower class citizens.
Notes: since she is a doctor (and one of the few Iron Hammer actually has) she's not generally allowed to go on missions with them. When she is allowed to go She'll wear a hat to hide her hair and opaque from the outside motorcycle goggles to hide her eyes. she may or may not wear a bandana or other cloth over her mouth to hide that. She's very protective of her identity because she IS a doctor and has a reputation to uphold. Not to mention she's easily found and tracked because of her profession.

Personality: Jinx is tough on the outside but deep down inside she’s still a bit soft. She’s pretty focused on self defense and good reflexes, but it doesn’t run her life. She doesn’t have the happiest outlook on life, and doesn’t need much to survive. Always willing to help those in need, and a sucker for small, young families, Jinx’s determination to survive, help others, and crush the government fuels her.
Background: Born and raised on Tartarus, Jinx lived with her father until she was ten. He came home one night, drunk and high, and thought Jinx was an intruder. She was standing in the dark kitchen chopping onions when he slammed into her from behind. She shielded her face from his strong blows with her arms and hands and turned her face so her cheek was to the ground in an effort to further protect herself. He switched to bashing her head on the floor until distracted by his girlfriends entrance. She screamed, called for help, and tried to stop the blood rapidly pooling from Jinx’s head. She had the back and a small part of the right side of her skull replaced with a metal plate and her hands and arms are now prosthetics. She hadn’t seen or heard from her dad since he attacked her, and her mother died in labor with her. Alone, she wandered the streets until the rebels took her in when she was eleven.
Nicknamed Jinx because she feels she killed her mother and that she ‘jinxed’ her life when her dad attacked her. Spending almost a year on the streets, Jinx is tough, fights well, and has good aim. She believes her prosthetic arms and hands explain her fighting skills and talent for hand to hand combat. Jinx has few memories of her childhood and can lack emotional responses because of the trauma to the right side of her skull, one of the temporal lobes which is involved in both processes, and she is prone to headaches.
Notes: She has a irrational aversion to onions because they remind her of her father and that tragic night. Jinx is very artistic, though she generally keeps it to herself, and talented with computers and other technology.

Personality: Francesca’s very quiet and very caring. She loves playing the piano, violin, and sewing. She cooks often, which she attributes to her Italian heritage. In love with most things classical, she also knows how to dance and, only when she’s alone, enjoys singing. She believes that nothing can truly heal a broken heart, but a good song can certainly help a bit.
Background: Francesca was walking her little brother home from school when she decided to take a shortcut to save time. She was fifteen, her parents had died in a car crash, and she was left to care for her six year old brother. They dashed through empty streets and deserted buildings toward the small apartment complex where they lived. While crossing the street to their home a car came out of nowhere and hit Francesca and her brother. Francesca began crawling toward him when the car started backing up. Either out of unawareness or just not caring, she reached to him as the back wheels crushed her fingers in both her hands. Francesca passed out holding her brother in her bleeding hands. Three days later she discovered the driver had been a guy she broke up with the day prior to her brothers death.
After a brief bout with depression, Francesca stayed with her aunt until she was eighteen and her aunt died. She sought anti-depressants, and began working as a bartender while studying chemistry. As her nineteenth birthday approached, she started seriously wondering about the government, but out of concern about the Civil Guard she continued to keep her head down and her mouth shut about her opinions.

Personality: Adrian is quite serious about his position when he needs to be. However, when he's not working, Adrian loves to joke around. Sometimes his jokes are funny, sometimes they're lame, and sometimes they come at the expense of others. It all depends on the time. He loves to hang out with his co-workers and believes that bonding is essential in being a better group. He often goes out of his way to invite his co-workers to hang out. Despite his friendliness to his friends and allies, Adrian has no patience for his enemies.
Background: Adrian was born on Tartarus. His dad was a captain at the time and it's always been Adrian's dream to follow in his father's footsteps. He was enrolled in an academy to learn how to fight, so most of his time was spent away from the family. Despite his ambitions, Adrian always made the time to have friends. Fortunately for Adrian, his family was away from Gellard at the time of the explosion. However, his father was one of the first casualities in the civil war against the Iron Hammer Faction. Even if they weren't very close, the death hit Adrian hard. He's more determined than ever to put down the rebellions.
Notes: Adrian loves to eat. It's his tradition to always eat something (whether it's a whole meal or just a quick snack) before going out on patrol.

Personality: Faolan acts just as his name means, a wolf. He does everything by himself, he's the loner type personality and wants nothing to do with people. Faolan is quiet and listens to everything, he rarely talks back to anyone but when he does it usually ends up in a fight. It has been known that he refuses any promotion given to him because he prefers to be where the action is, that's his outgoing personality but that's as far as it will go. He even lives alone, his life is bare of any relationships but he hopes to change that one day though he doesn't know with whom, that is until the rebel group is put in their place or the government fails, whichever comes first.
Background: Faolan Cavan was born long before the others that he knows and for good reason. He was abandoned by his parents at a young age back on Ichi. He was nearly dead at a young age but persevered in life so that he could do something with himself. An orphanage soon found him and took him in, they cared for him as much as they could until he turned of age.
Faolan joined the military and lived through their rules and expectations. It was soon realized that Faolan had a tendency to complete tasks efficiently no matter how difficult they became or how long it took him but he would always finish them. Because of his steadfast determination he has numerous scars on his body that he hides with his clothing, the only ones to have seen them were left on Ichi when he was told that he was being transferred. This came as no surprise to the soldier and when he got on the transport, there were no farewells said to any of his bunkmates or his comrades. It was then put into his report that he is just as his name implies: a wolf.
He left Ichi and headed for Tartarus, it was there that he would begin his government career. He has just been assigned to the government and is en route to speak with the captain there. However there are still healing stitches on his neck from his first encounter with the Iron Hammer Faction but he refuses to hide it unless out in the public when he's dressed in all black.
Notes: Faolan serves the government but he secretly sides with the civilians and constantly shops at their local markets in the slums. It is also the same place where he lives and he has become quite fond of Alyssa Olivia Ricalie's food store. When he is out in the civilian world, he dresses in all black with a black trench coat and black fedora hat so that he's not noticed as a government agent. Also he calls himself Lanca in public as an alias to the poorer population.

Prosthetics:
-Right arm - Lady Integral van Heulsonne has had her right arm replaced with a cybernetic prosthesis that enhances her strength by five to ten times the human norm. It is incapable of becoming a weapon, but has a hollow compartment that can open to release one of her two swords within a quarter seconds' notice.
-Lower body - due to a terrorist attack Lady van Heulsonne has had to have her entire body below the waist replaced with prosthetics. This special prosthesis includes both of her legs, her pelvis, and her first three vertebrae. her reproductive system was unharmed by the blast and is perfectly functional for a woman of her age. It has five times the speed and dexterity ratings of an average human female in her mid-20s, and if pirated would be worth several trillion Credits on the black market.
-Possible Left Arm - Rumors have circulated in the past that Lady von Heulsonne has used her position to exceed the three-prosthesis legal limit and have her left arm augmented in the same manner as her right. This is a false rumor, but one she allows to circulate. Her physician has privately advised her in the past that with more than half her body already cybernetic there would be an almost-zero chance of her surviving another prosthesis surgery.
Personality: Lady Integral Wingates van Heulsonne, known to her friends as Integra and to the papers as Lady Hellsing, is a cold, calculating woman who is usually (but not always) willing to do anything short of open criminal action to get a job done. She is ruthless and impersonal in her business life, but significantly relaxed during her private time or when she is talking to an old friend.
Background: Lady van Heulsonne was one of the first Tartarus execs to transfer to the new planet after it was acquired. She was only a Manager-rank executive when she arrived planet-side, but she soon managed to manipulate her way to the VP seat in R&D, giving her access to the best technologies available planet-side. This was a fortunate ability, as it meant her life was saved when she was literally ripped in two by a terrorist bomb five years ago, necessitating the largest single prosthesis surgery in the history of the planet, an operation that ended up with her entire lower body replaced by metal legs and pelvis.
However, with her VP seat came knowledge of the corruption within the ranks of Tartarus. While she still works as the R&D Vice President, Lady van Heulsonne has also become a major (and, importantly, anonymous) financial backer of the Iron Hammers. this is one of the biggest secrets she keeps, and the only reason it has stayed secret this long is because Integra is an expert at finding out other peoples' proverbial closet-dwelling natomies. She even has dirt on the local commander of the Civil Guard, giving her partial immunity to investigation so long as she doesn't do anything blatantly illegal.
Notes: Lady van Heulsonne has paid exorbitant amounts of money to have private swordsmanship lessons with prosthesis-equipped trainers who can match her speed and strength. While she seems to be a high-powered executive - and, in fact, is one - she is also quite capable of holding her own in a fight against any number of opponents.

Weapons:
-Kalut: A basic two feet katana transferred from Earth by Irou's father. While the blade is covered in bandages, it is the most used weapon in Irou's arsenal. Under the bandages, however, the edge is very sharp, and so a simple slice or pound with the edge will result in the bandage cutting itself open.
-Noon: A basic Kodachi (59 cms) transferred again from Earth by Irou's father. Its blade is also covered in bandages. The edge is not so sharp, but with one strong slice the bandage is able to be sliced open. This weapon is used for the "weaker" opponents.
-Dawn: A heavy two-handed two feet Katana. Used for a last resort, this is Irou's less used weapon from his father. It is also covered in bandages. The edge is dull, but not so dull it cannot cut. To remove the bandages, one must manually remove them. With the bandages, it is often used as a blunt striking tool.
Prosthetics:
-Irou's left hand is bandaged. Under these bandages is a metallic hand. However, the only use of it is a finger knife that pops out of the index finger.
-Irou's right arm is covered in bandages. Under these, Irou's arm is metallic. From the elbow up, after putting in a complicated code, the arm is able to turn into a blade. However, it is mostly used as a blunt striking tool (like Dawn) as its edge is not very sharp.
Personality: Irou is humble, as seen when he bandaged his Prosthetics and blades. He is not a very show-offy person, and never uses his techniques in a way to show off or impress anyone. He believes in his own choices, and doesn't need approval from anyone else. He can be arrogant during battles, but is usually calm and collected. Cold and aloof, Irou is a wandering fellow with no certain goal in life except for destroying the Civil Guard.
Background: Irou was originally born in Tartarus, but his parents were not.
Irou's father, Yoi Ichiban, was born in Japan. Irou's grandfather was a well-known Samurai in the small little village Yoi was born in. The Grandfather trained Yoi in the ways of the Samurai, and soon the Grandfather would die due to an illness. Inheriting his father's blades, Yoi continued further with his training. As the future developed into the further exploration of planets happened, Yoi was one to not go immediately on one of these trips. He packed his bags, along witeh his swords, and headed towards Tartarus as part of the mysterious Thaddeus Corporation's Japanese Division. Yoi's wife was already pregnant at the time, and Yoi was blistering with old age (aged 53 at that time).
The landing on Tartarus was a success, and about a few months after, Irou was finally born. Yoi taught Irou in the teachings of the Samurai and how to be humble, as was a tradition in the Ichiban family. Yoi was struck with a strange illness, and later died about a year later. At that time, Irou was already 15. For the next two years, he lived with his mother in a small house. Irou, however, kept his father's blades and continued with his training.
Then the incident came. As the Civil Guard were continuing to arouse suspicion with the rebels around Joth. They rudely raided Irou's home, "accidentally" killing Irou's mother. Irou, after this incident, bandaged his blades in respect for his mother and father. To become stronger, Irou proceeded to get prosthetic limbs to help him destroy the Civil Guard. He later joined the Iron Hammer faction, being more of a quiet guy around them. He does not want to fight the Civil Guard because their doings are wrong, he wants to fight them for revenge and revenge only.
Notes: Irou is left-handed. Under the bandages, there is an inscription of "FFS" on the back of the left hand. Under his right hand's bandages, there is an inscription of "Free" on the back of it. "Ichiban" in Japanese means "#1" or "1", while Irou means "recognition of services".
