Long, long ago...

A Kitten-Chan RP
Inspired by other role plays and partly by Dragon Age Origins

Elves used to be enslaved by humans, but were freed after slavery was ended by the king. Elves, however, still live in the shadow of humans. Humans think of elves as servants, being them more common serving in a palace. However, humans also serve in palaces. Elves are disrespected by many, and few even show themselves commonly in human cities. Eleves have their own cities far away from the human ones, yet almost no humans set foot in those cities. Elves and humans still live in peace, however, with many problems. Many.

Elves

User Image
They call me Zoey Fawn Di'Amora, and I have lived 17.
I am Chick., and I am Straight..
I'm a(n) Elf..
People call me Blunt, Fiesty, Fun, Playful, Flirty, Cynical, and Unique.
I enjoy Sweets, Boys, Eating, and Chaos.
I hate Fitting in, rules, authority, and silence.
And I used to be When Zoey was born her parents put her up for adoption, and she lived in an orphanage for a year. Unlike popular belief it wasn't so bad and she wasn't miserable. It was ok. A year later she was adopted by a nice, caring family. Never hit her, never mistreated her. For years Zoey was led on to believe that they were her real family, and being too young to remember the orphanage the family convinced her she was with them all along.

Once Zoey turned 15 her "parents" told her the truth. Her mother died giving birth to her so guilt-stricken and sad, her father gave her away, because everyday she was with him reminded him of his loss. After finding out the news Zoey felt guilty for having caused her mother's death but learned to finally let it go. Now she visits her father every so often, but still stays with her adoptive family she grew up with. Zoey travels frequently between the two worlds of Elf and Human, her adoptive family being in one of the many human cities and her father being in one of the Elf cities.

I use A Bow and Arrow, but magic as a last resort.. My spells are Manipulation of Water.
Oops, sorry I forgot, Zoey is afraid of needles and dolls.
I lied...I'm actually Aries_Empress.

Dextra Fern Renznor
They call me Dextra Fern Renznor, and I have lived 21.
I am Female, and I am Straight.
I'm a(n) elf.
People call me Quiet, adventurous, easily amused, sarcastic, giggly, happy, nice and lonley. I enjoy Quiet, night, day, sun-set, light, flowers and bread. I hate Animals, fire, illness, lots of people, and water.
And I used to be living in an elven city, peacefully. My best friend and I got curious one day and left the city. My... it's been so long I can't remember her name... We had seen a merchant carrying weapons pass my home. We followed him a little too far. After asking him multiple questions, we left to go back home for supper. Yet, we couldn't find our way back. My friend started worrying after we wandered until nightfall. I told her all would be well. We set up a camp, and she said she'd go and gather berries. She never came back. I had dozed off later that night, when the sun was breaking through over the horizon. I stayed there for days... hungry and alone. A traveler eventually found me and led me back to a city. My best friend was there. She claimed she had found a merchant and he led her to the city, and she was so scared that she didn't want to go back for me. I never spoke to her since.
At the age of eight-teen, my mother and father gave me my first dagger. I loved it. They said that I'd need it if I were to leave soon. I had come of age, and I was dieing to leave the city. Many days later, I left. It was a hard time for me, leaving my family and my friends. I even waved good-bye to the girl who had abandoned me in the forest so many years ago. But I didn't speak to her. I bought a long-sword just out of the city. I made money by helping others from cities. I was well-fed and well-payed. I loved to travel. I loved the wilderness and the mysteries within it.
About two years after my depart, I returned to my home city as I passed it. My family was gone. I had knocked on the door and someone who had moved in after I left home said that no one lived there. I knocked on my neighbor's door. They had always been good to me. They greeted me and let me inside. They fed me and told me what happened to them. I feared they were dead. They are not, of what I know. They found a job in one of the human cities, that I refuse to enter. Elves are treated like rubbish there, and I don't want anything to do with humans. I have not seen my parents in five years, and I have gotten used to the lonelyness.

I use Weapons; two swords.
Oops, sorry I forgot. Does not hate humans, but cares nothing for them..
I lied... I'm acctually KittenDevil14.
Humans

User Image
They call me Galbrix Nombred, and I have lived 20 years.
I am male, and I am straight.
I'm a human.
People call me jumpy, fearful, and timid. I enjoy pacing, sleeping, and reading my book. I hate shoes, sweets, and when people touch my book
And I used to be jumping from town to town, listening to the voice in my head. It used to tell me where my next destination was, and still does, so I could learn about my book. The voice I hear cares about me, unlike my family. My family was mean to me, not wanting me to have the book and wanting me to make money working in silver mines. I wanted to read, so because of our contrasting desires I left with my book. My first destination being a few ruins outside a human city.

I made it safely. The ruins were in disarry, but, like the voice told me, I was able to learn more about my book by reading the walls. It is weird because I can't read, but this language I can. I've learned quite a bit about my book now and can read more than a bit of it. There are two more ruins I need to visit in elven territory before the voice says I can read all of it. After that I think I will learn why this book, and the voice, are so important to me.

I use my book. My spells are conjuration spells.
Oops, sorry I forgot. I can't read Human or Elven languages.
I lied... I'm acctually Toxlind.

User ImageZoey looked up at the sky, eyelids half closed, breathing slow and even. She was calm. Relaxed. A few seconds passed and Zoey began to drift, a light sleep beckoning her with sweet dreams. Zoey sighed and opened her eyes fully, slate gray eyes alive. She clenched bunches of grass in her fists, savoring the nature surrounding her and the feeling of complete calm.

Zoey sat up and pulled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them somewhat. She looked around. Zoey was in a meadow, laying on top of soft grass and surrounded by flowers. There was a forest surrounding the meadow, and the sun shown brightly in the sky. Zoey closed her eyes for a moment, letting the sun's warm glow wash over her, only to be startled by a voice.

"ZaZa! ZaZa! Do come out of that meadow, dear!" The voice rang out clearly in the small area and Zoey smiled. "Yes, Grand-Mama!" Zoey called back, pushing herself up and gathering her things. She threw her small bag over her shoulder and walked to the edge of the forest, pausing before she lost sight of the meadow. Zoey sent a silent goodbye out to it, before breaking off in a jog into the forest.

Zoey knew the way to the small cottage in the middle of the forest by heart, and could get there blind-folded. An elderly stood in the doorway of a small, cozy cottage, with her hands crossed over her chest and a smile that reached her eyes. "Now there, ZaZa. What did I tell you about disappearing off into the meadow like that?" The elderly woman asked in a mock scolding tone, wagging a finger at the younger female. Zoey smiled and hugged her grandmother warmly. "I know Grand-Mama, I know. Not to disappear without telling someone, and especially not before lunch." Zoey recited, pulling back from the hug with a smile.

The woman smiled. "ZaZa, you have grown up to be such a fine young woman!" She said, clapping her hands together. Zoey laughed softly. "Thank you, Grand-Mama! Now whats for lunch?" Zoey asked, heading into the small kitchen. Zoey's grandmother followed her. "I figured we'd have something different, how about vegetable stew?" Zoey nodded and smiled. "Thats sounds wonderful. Where's Father?" Zoey asked, looking around curiously. "Father said he would be late home tonight, so he said to have some fun, but not too much fun." The woman teased.

Zoey grinned. "Ok! Do you know if there is anymore firewood for the fireplace?" Zoey asked. The old woman shook her head. "No, I'm afraid someone'll have to gather some, my precious little treasure." The woman gave an apologetic smile and shrugged. "Would you mind getting it, love? I'm afraid these old bones just wont hold up out there..." The woman motioned with a jerk to the outside and Zoey nodded quickly. "Its ok, Grand-Mama. No problem. I'll be back soon, I promise!" Zoey ran out the door, secretly glad to be outside again, and hurried off in a random direction in search of stray branches. {{Sorry if it's too long... sweatdrop }}

I call to the nature...
I travel the land...

I am Dextra Fern Renzor.

Dextra scurried through the trees and the undergrowth of a dense forest. She then spotted a small cottage. An elf stepped out of it, and ran into the forest. Dextra followed her. Pausing in view of the window, she saw an elderly elf over a pot. Warm memories of the times that her parents would cook for her, Dextra closed her eyes. She then shook out the memories and paced on. "Hello? Hello?" Dextra sped up and tried to catch the attention of the other elf. You don't see many elves with the courage to live in the forest. Somewhere where humans might come. Then they'd have nowhere to stay. Dextra was simply... curious. Very curious. Dextra sped forward, faster than before. She still couldn't see the other elf, for she had spent too long day-dreaming. Still, Dextra sped up even more, now at a fast run.

User Image Zoey strolled along, smelling different flowers and admiring different trees. She wasn't in a rush, and held the thick sticks in her arm, her other hanging loosely at her side. Zoey held her free hand out, palms up, and watched as a small orb of water floated inside of it. Zoey grinned, and played with it, changing its form and such until she heard a noise. Someone was calling out. The thought of humans ambushing her filled her mind and she narrowed her eyes, and then the thought of the cruel humans hurting her poor Grand-Mama. Zoey gritted her teeth and growled, her grip on the sticks tightening until her knuckled were white. In a moment Zoey had her bow and arrow poised and ready to shoot, staring the girl in the face.

After spotting the girl's pointed ears Zoey relaxed, and slowly let the bow and arrow drop to her side. "Who are you?" Zoey asked bluntly, raising an eyebrow. The girl had long, curly blonde hair and bright green eyes, like the grass Zoey's feet lay on. "Hm. I do believe I have forgotten my manners. The name is Zoey. Zoey Fawn. Little house in the middle of the forest. Thats me." Zoey nodded. She wasn't normally so formal but she hadn't had a visitor in awhile. Not many elves chose to live in land shared between Elves and Humans, or, more accurately land where Elves had a chance of running into Humans. Zoey gave a small smirk/smile thing and stretched, like a long, lean cat. She picked up the wood she had before and strapped the bow an arrow back to her back.

I call to the nature...
I travel the land...

I am Dextra Fern Renzor.

Dextra finally caught up to her; stunned as the elf pointed an arrow to her head. Then she lowered it. A light breeze ruffled the girl's dark hair, and her own hair. Dextra was amazed by the girls courage. She lived with her helpless grandmother in the middle of a forest. And she was an elf. Elven people lived like human rubbish. Discarded into a little place that isn't even half as good as the HUMAN cities. Dextra knew, she had seen them, however, never step foot in one. But Dextra knew how a young girl like this could survive, but an old woman, she wondered how. The girl had it easier than her, with a roof over her head and her grandmother cooking for her. She thought of all this in a split second; before the girl's bow even hit her side again. She nodded peacefully at her. Very few elves harm other elves; the race has joined together being less common than the humans, the elves want to support all remaining life. The girl before her responded her name, 'Zoey Fawn' after a rude 'What do you want?'. However, Zoey remembered her manners. "Greetings, Zoey," Dextra's voice was more peaceful than normal. "I am Dextra, Dextra Renzor. If you must call me anything, call me Dextra or Dex." Some people had called Dextra 'Dexi' or 'Dexa' instead of what she liked to be called. Dextra relaxed herself, her eyes showing it. Her green eyes were calm, not glaring or widened.

User Image Zoey was caught by surprised at the woman's voice. It was soothing, calm, relaxing really. Zoey smiled and nodded at the girl. "Salutations." Zoey replied, rolling her eyes and shaking her head at herself after. Who actually says salutations now? Zoey asked herself, then shrugged it off. She was never one to do what others did, and she liked her opinion being 'out there'. "Dextra is fine." Zoey said, walking slowly with the woman, trusting she would come along.

Zoey arched a slender eyebrow in slight amusement, to what she did not know, but amusement nonetheless. "Would you care to join my grandmother and I for lunch?" Zoey asked politely. Her grandmother would know if she had not been courteous, for she had spies. Zoey smiled softly at the thought. Yes, spies. Spies all around. Her grandmother had always told her, since she was small, that the trees shared their secrets with her, and that one day, when she old enough, the trees would tell Zoey their secrets as well. Zoey traced a finger lightly over the smooth bark of one tree in slight admiration, before looking back at Dextra. "You wont be a burden. And my Grand-Mama loves guests." Zoey said.

There was a certain, almost automatic, kindness, and kinship, because this woman was an elf. These days, when the humans were not to be trusted the elves had to depend on each other. There really was no point in knocking each other down, if they were to even try to stand up to the humans, as powerful as they were.

Galbrix Nombred

Galbrix stood at the altar of the ruins, a loud ringing reverberating in his mind. He was in elven territory now, who knows where? The colomns around him were anceint, most had fallen over, and the ones that stood had become entangled in the trees above. The colomns were marble, but the altar he stood at was a slab of stone, nothing that looked important. Galbrix knew otherwise. He knew what the book had told him about these ruins, for they had been sacifice areas, rituals for other unworldly things. Whether they had been human or animal sacrifice... Galbrix leaned toward animals, even though he knew that wasn't true.

The voice in his head began to speak and a sweat broke from his fourhead, as it did everytime the voice spoke. The voice was rambling on, as it usually did, about this place. It had been a meeting point for the evil elves, the ones who practiced forbidden magics. Finally, after the ramblings, the voice told him to move the stone slab.

Galbrix couldn't. He pushed and pushed but he only succeeded in moving it maybe a few inches. He opened his book, flipping through the runes that made no sense to him, but were everything he always did know. Finally he found the page he knew he needed. He would use a short-term summon. He read the runes aloud, "Ask verrenik tu, malkfend." Just like that a minotaur appeared and Galbrix told it to move the altar before it was dismissed. He grabbed his book off the slab before the minotaur began. He made it look so easy, heaving the stone twice his size, walkinging to a nearby colomn, and lening it against the marbe of the colomn before he evaporated. The colomn then gave way to the massive slab and both fell to the ground. Galbrix shrugged and entered the hole in the ground the minotaur had revealed.

Without an end...
... the begining wouldn't have been so sweet.
