.:: My Hero ::.

One day, several people from another world (one favoring magic and steel over technology and synthesized materials) have appeared on Earth. The reason is not yet known, however, when strange monsters begin to appear later it shall become apparent.

For now, our otherworldly heroes must fly under the radar and try to adapt to this strange new world until they are called upon to save it.

Basically, I want a few other worldly beings. They are the heroes. I also want some citizens of Earth. Once the monsters begin to appear, we'll be needing monsters and military. Lets see how this goes.

Rules

-No god moding.
-No cybering.
-Violence and romance are fine.
-Swearing is fine, but not to be overdone.
-Profiles are to be written up and PM'd to me titled "My Hero".
-That's about it. Have fun and behave!

Profiles

Civilian Template

Note: Civilians are Human. They can't leap great heights, or dash at amazing speed. They are just regular people who in all likelyhood will either fall in love with or become otherwise entwined with the Heroes, Monsters or Military.

The military, you can kill the hell out of them, but the Heroes are gunna put you down. Monster is recommended as a secondary character. When it dies, feel free to make a new one.

Hero Template

All Heroes must train at the Heroes Guild in their own world and then mysteriously teleport to the Humans world. Heroes are Human, but a special kind of human. They have, for one, powers. They are also superior physically. In addition to all of that, they are immortal. For those of you who need clarification. . .

Immortals can live forever, but can be killed. Those who are invincible cannot be killed, but do not live forever.

I hope that clears up any confusion.

Hero Name: Cross
Age: 28
Gender: Male

-Height: 6'3
-Weight: 187 lbs
General Description: Val has a powerful build, and were he not a towering 6'3 he might seem stocky because of it. With hair as dark as the midnight sky and a piercing emerald stare, he might almost appear handsome were it not for his obviously used and torn body. Scars dominate his body, mostly his extremities. However, he has several very distinct and noticeable scars. A fine, clean cut scar spans from the top right of his face and moved down across his brow, over his nose and across his left cheek down to his jaw line. There is a jagged scar across his back which goes from his left shoulder blade down for the far right of his back just above his belt line. Two final scars are displayed on his chest. One moves from his right shoulder to just under his left pec, while the other spans from the center of his right collar bone down across his torso on a slight angle to just to the left of his navel.
Equipment:
-Attire Val wears a pair of intricately designed greaves, boots, and gauntlets made from an unknown alloy which all of the Heroes metallic equipment is made. He also wears a pauldron of the same design and alloy on his left shoulder. Beneath the armor on his lower half of his body is chain mail pants of the same alloy as the other metal Val possesses. The only fabric Val wears are deep red pants under his armor and a small red ribbon around his right wrist.
-Weapons: Val possesses a 5'10 long sword which is sheath horizontally on his back across his belt line, and a 12" mercy dagger in either boot.
-Items: Val wears at all times a red ribbon on his wrist which holds extreme sentimental value. He also holds possesses a locket, which had belonged to his younger sister and a small pouch of gold and silver coins.
Power/Abilities:
-Nullify: Val was granted with the ability to nullify the powers of other within a set range of approximately 50 feet. To make full use of this power, he is devoted to training his body to its absolute peek. Although this ability has not been mastered, he can will it on and off.
-Enhanced speed: All heroes are faster and more agile than normal humans, however, Val is faster and more agile than most heroes.
-Enhanced strength: All heroes are stronger than normal humans, however, Val is stronger than most heroes.
Brief Bio Heroes are not made. They are born. Val began to realize he was different when he was still young, but didn't understand why. He kept his differences a secret until a hostile neighboring country launched a campaign against his. His village was attacked, and while many were killed they village was successfully taken and many were forced to flee. Val and his father were separated from his sister and mother. Without a home, they ran. While surviving in the wilderness, Val's father noticed the boys uniqueness. Val's father then set out on a dangerous journey to find the fabled "Heroes Guild" which lay deep in the northern mountains. Along they way, they faced many hardships including the beast of the region and environmental hazards. Val was able to overcome these obstacles with growing ease, but they took a toll on his father.

One day, the two finally arrived at the Heroes Guild gates. Having been granted passage, Val and his father met with Tomis, the Master of the Heroes Guild. Val indeed was special, as Tomis had noticed. Tomis was blessed with the ability of foresight. He used his ability to look into Heroes-to-be's future and gauge whether or not they were worthy of training. However, Tomis could not see Val's future because Val was blessed with the ability to nullify the abilities of other heroes. Tomis realized Val's ability was invaluable, and started his training immediately. Val's father, like all those who escort heroes-to-be, was allowed to remain in the Heroes Guild.

It was Tomis who encouraged Val to train his body so he would have an edge on others whose powers he would cancel out. And so, Val trained long and hard for many years. Shortly after Val turned 22, Tomis told him he had taught him all he could. In order to complete his training and become a true hero, he would have to leave and explore not just to unlock the secrets of the world, but to learn and unlock the secrets of himself. Shortly before Val left, his father gave him a locket that had belonged to his mother which she had given to him only moments before they were separated.

For the next few years, Val traveled the world had helped where ever he could. . . One day, he met a woman who after a short time he believed was the person he was made for. He remained with her for a short while, until tragedy too her from him, as it seems it does to all heroes. When Val found her mutilated corpse, he tore from it a band of fabric, tied it around his wrist, then sought out those who had done onto her, and did onto them on thousand fold.

Since that day, Val was changed, but not terribly so. He had always known the evil of man, and sought that much harder to preserve the good. When the ribbon is questioned, he becomes defensive. When the ribbon is touched, or worse, damaged, he becomes hostile.

Then, on a day not unlike any other, he found himself is an unfamiliar world. . . Why, he had no idea. But he intended to find out!

A flash of white light so intense the bright summer sky turned black erupted suddenly, seemingly from nowhere. A scarred form rose its arms to shield it's emerald orbs from the spontaneous flash only to lower them a moment later. He stumbled in a daze, the ground below him feeling much firmer than the grass that had been underfoot a moment ago, almost like stone, but not quite. Somehow different.

There was a honk, then a screech the likes he hadn't heard in his life. The next thing he knew, he was hit. A strange machine had collided with his form, but he held his ground, causing the machines rear end to rise temporarily then smash against the ground with a crash. Slowly, his vision returned. Cloudy at first, but more clear as time passed. A blue-purple orb floated about in front of everything he tried to look at, but slowly began to dissipate. By now, the same honking noise had taken control of the area and filled the air, along with the angered shouts of the pilots of the strange machines the scarred man found himself surrounded by. Unsure of their intentions or affiliations, the scarred man took a few steps back, scanned his surroundings, then bounded away, one brilliant jump after another.

His first jump took him from the raised road where he had appeared to the side of a tall structure. The next took him several stories vertically. Dashing up the side of the building, he jumped one final time and landed on the empty expanse that was the roof. "What is this witchery?" The scarred man hissed, looking off the edge of the building to the city below. "Where am I? How did I end up here?" He asked, not expecting and answer. Too many questions flooded his mind, clouding his judgment. He would remain where he was for a short time and meditate on his situation before making any unfavorable decisions.
