This subject was inspired by a movie I saw some time ago.It was based on an average family who's kinda Muslim (A Muslim man marrying a Hindu). It was happy but after 9/11 everything changed for the worse.I have started this talk to say that not all Muslims are terrorists and "Jihad-ists". Actually, this reminded of something.Everybody knows the wrong meaning of "Jihad".Did you know that everybody in this whole world does Jihad everyday even me,you and every other human being on Earth. Now you think that "thats ridiculous,we do not kill innocents and what not.".You want to know "Jihad's" real meaning, start posting here to know,i would be happy to tell you biggrin .
P.S : Pakistan is not the most dangerous country in the world nor populated by Jihad i's or Mullah's whatever. It's a load of crap dudes.Media pollutes minds with this wrong notion of Pakistan . D:<

What movie was it? I know the meaning of Jihad (جهاد) but I'm not going to give it away so early. People will be so surprised, well some, to find it's real meaning. ALL people, not just Muslims, go through Jihads each day. As for Pakistan, I love Pakistan...I would say it's a little dangerous, but I also think ALL countries are a little dangerous. Given the choice between walking around Atlanta at night, or walking around in Pakistan at night (with Mahrams) I think I would choose Pakistan. It's not the everyday Pakistani;s I'm scared of, it's the terrorists who flood down from Afghanistan. But when I do go to Pakistan, insha Allah, I'll be closer to the Indian board, in Bahawulpar (Punjab) No, we're not terrorists. But there are some ignorant people who still think so. This guy on youtube used to openly hate Muslims! He was very militant against them. Until he began to meet some via Youtube, and it turned out we werent so bad. Now he makes PRO-Islam videos, learned Arabic, read the Qur'an...He's still a Christian, but Masha Allah, he's so supportive and kind. His videos blow me away.

I think Islam has it's extremists, just like any other religion. You can find just as many horrible people who are Christians or what-have-you. Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups are on the extreme end of the spectrum just like Westboro Baptist Church is on the extreme end of the Christian spectrum. It would be ridiculous to judge all Christians based on those fools, just like it's ridiculous to judge all Muslims based on terrorist groups. Likewise, Islam also has a lot of great people that do wonderful things for society; you just don't hear about them because, let's face it, if you put a black dot on a piece of paper people's eyes will be drawn to that black dot no matter how much white is surrounding it.

I would definatley NOT consider Al-Qaeda or the Phelps family part of any religion! Religion is not about violence and killing, that reminds me more of plain terrorism or a cult. Every religion has its liberals and conservatives, but when they cross the line into a terrorist or "extremist" they have left the realm of religion and into cult/terrorism.

They certainly aren't following the Bible or Quran the way it was meant to be, no matter what vehicle they use for their propaganda and terrorism.

And unfortunately since they get so much attention, people who don't know much about the normal people who follow the religion think that everyone who follows it are just like the extremists. sad

The Vanilla Bean Remembering from 7th grade history... in a nut shell; isn't jihad, like, religious battle with yourself and not like a physical guns and knifes religious battle? That's what I thought; that's it's an inner battle to improve yourself and to struggle to be devoted to/attain the principles of Islam. I guess some of the extremists took the "improve yourself" idea and expanded it to "improve yourself by improving others", and then decided to say "I can improve myself by improving others by violent force."
