So, I work long night shifts and often have trouble staying awake.. I mean REAL trouble. I can feel my eyelids getting heavy and my head nodding forwrd... ugh.. x_x
Anyone else ever worked nigh shifts? Or had to stay up all night before an exam etc? What are your tips on pulling an all nighter?

I'm always stretching and fidgeting in my chair while I'm working so I'm not totally stationary, always makes me more sleepy. If I feel myself nodding off that bad, I give myself a quick minute break to get some cold water to drink, wash my face, or just get up and walk around or stretch.
Always find the easiest way to keep from nodding off is to take a quick break from the task at hand to do something that makes me forget I'm sleepy. I may have a short attention span, though, so I dunno how helpful my advice is. xD

doing all nighters is easy, the hard part is sleeping for me >< all you need is sugar and entertainment. dont watch stuff in the dark.. for me it tends to make me sleepier. umm if you find urself getting sleepy try going outside, if its cool or colder out there you should get second wind.
umm yeah. usually for me I watch movies, play video games, play some hard music.. talk talk and talk some more. lol plus its also easier to stay awake if you are constantly thinking about things. that way you wont want to sleep once you shut your eyes. lol

Drink lots of dark coffee and put on music. Works for me, when studying for an exam.
