There hasn't been much going on at the school, mostly the students going about their usual lessons. I see a few promising here and there, but it is too early to expect anything, I think. Perhaps one of them will make a bright future as a dancer? Or perhaps another will make Gion proud by honing her talents as a calligraphy artists? Dreams...those are some things I still see in those young girls, as they have not yet been corrupted by this mad system of entertaining. I can see they still long for other things, larger things than finding a danna and leaving this bittersweet life. They long to find love as well...
But enough of my brooding, as I have other things to say and do...

The students have been allowed a small vacation from their lessons, what with the winter chill getting a bit too strong. I was planning to push through with the dance concert, as well as gion's new year, but time quickly passes us girls by. There seems to be never enough time to prepare...
I guess I'll just have to do better next year, which is just a few days away. More lessons, more excercises for my students, and more fun things to do...I sense the winds of change are coming. Hopefully they will bring us some new spirit, as well as a bit of excitement....

It has been a long time. I have been busy, sorting out through the old notes and lesson plans, and setting up the new format of the school. I just hope the students will be more vcocal this school year.
On another note, I plan to ask some ofthe the teachers from another school to be guest speakers. This humble person is not too knowledgeable about all things geisha, so I would gladly need some help.
