Kitty sighed softly as she flopped down onto the couch and reached for the remote. She grabbed it with ease as she turned on the tv and set it to a good channel. Tossing the remote next to her, she sighed softly as she crossed her legs in an attempt to let herself relax a little. She's been high strung ever since she got back from being, in a sense of the word, 'cured'. Although if she let herself relax to much, she became phased without though. It literally took more concentration for her to eat a sandwich then it did to phase the whole Blackbird through a sky scrapper.
She sighed softly as she rubbed her temples. And her headaches where back. The last time her head had hurt so hard was the first time she had phased through her bed and ended up in the kitchen. She had been only 13 then. And she had had no idea who the X-men even were. But now, she was not only a full fledged member, but a pretty good one, at least, she liked to think so. But it had been slow these last few days, and kitty was taking her time to re-practice learning her powers. Which sucked.

Richard walked in slowly, his glowing blue-white eyes scanning around. He suspected his neon blue skin would draw attention, but he didn't know what to do about that. He half closed his hand, a small ball of icy energy forming around his hand and misting into the air as if it were nothing. It formed into a odd knife, though the entire thing was a icy bluish white.

Sighing softly as she reached down for the remote once more. But instead of feeling the shape of the remote in her hand, she felt the oh so familiar feeling of her phased state. She instantly did damage control and shoved her feet below her to keep herself from falling through the living room and into the lower floors. "Well, at least I can stay light on my feet." She laughed softly as she floated back up through the couch and though of being solid once more. She blushed softly as she looked around to make sure no one was watching, then blushed brighter when she saw Richard was in the room. "Uh.. Hi." She laughed softly as she scratched the back of her head.

elaise walked into the living room behind richard, seeing kitty she smiled warmly before saying " hey kitty. where've you been? oh this is richard by the way." she smiled again before walking over and sitting on one of the chairs.

Richard half smiled. "So you can phase through objects, that's more interesting than my talents," he said quietly. He glanced at his hand, noticing the knife in it, and concentrated. The knife faded from solidity into mist before vanishing completely.

Bernadette walked in, the short, tiny, cinnamon haired girl, the youngest at the school; and for good reason. She was bouncing her soccer ball on her head, practicing for her little groups soccer match. It wasn't school sponsored but it was something her and the other kids did every month.
Looking around, she made sure none of the adults were around, always telling her stop bouncing the ball inside. However, she wanted to practice and she was tired, t.v. was now a must.
Trying to see what was on t.v. and bouncing the ball was hard work, and it was maybe too hard for Bernadette as the ball bounced to the floor aiming for the couch Kitty was sitting in.

Kitty blushed once more. "Yeah, well, phasing is what I do!" She caught movement from the corner of her eye and reached out to grab the ball, but it slid through her hand and bounced against the wall next to her. "Sorry." She said softly as she walked over and picked it up. "I'm still not used to everything being backwards." She laughed softly, and turned to elaise. "I was in Europe getting 'cured'." She shrugged. "At least I can be solid again!" She smiled somewhat.

Richard shrugged. He tilted his head at the girl, his gaze flicking from her to the television. A faint smile crossed his face. I haven't watched t.v in nearly nine months, he thought wistfully.

Kitty glanced over to the boy and smiled. "You can change it if you want. I was just about to, but I can't seem to hold onto things at the moment." She shrugged somewhat.

elaise heard richards thought and smiled at him " you'l have to fight bernadette for the remote." she said before turning to kitty " so you've been cured." she muttered standing up and moving over so that she was sat next to her.

"Fortunately she has, but it will take time for Kitty to get used to using her powers again," Scott said, leaning against the doorjamb. He wore his ruby-quartz sunglasses instead of his visor. Richard rolled his eyes with a slight shrug. "I really don't care that much what's on, really; I just have a little problem when I go out into the sunlight sometimes," he said quietly. Yeah, the skull splitting migraines are a pain in the temples, no pun intended, he thought, the tone of the thought slightly sarcastic.

elaise looked at scott and smiled " hey scott, where've you been? jean was looking for you earlier." she said before looking at richard i'm sure we'l find a way for you to control the migraines, i had the same problem when i first found out about my powers. she thought to him before turning back to scott. " oh yeah this is richard, i brought him here after i met him in times square." she said softly " jean's in the infirmary tending to a girl who just arrived."

Bernadette smiled at Kitty, "Toss it over here! I'll catch it with my head." She waited for Kitty to throw the ball back to her. She knew Scott was there, but maybe, just maybe he'd let her play ball inside. Besides, it was the big game this Saturday who wouldn't let her practice.

Scott half smiled, which was rare for him. "I'll check on her," was all he said. So he's one of the more 'experienced' mutants around here? Richard thought, unconsciously projecting his thoughts to Elaise.
