Dear Dairy,
Today I heard a beautiful movie was coming out about us. When I say us I mean our culture. The movie is so detailed in everything we do. I'd love to go see it with some friends from the okiya! We would have so much fun, and I would get to know most of them so much more.
Today I was cleaning behind a desk in one of the Maiko's rooms, and I saw a spider, at first I screamed and knocked over a glass, but caught it in time. Training with my father in martial arts really paid off; but that is no more. Now I'm going to fulfill MY dreams.
That spider looked happy, I took him back to the front of the Okiya, and let him go. I'm sure he's making a web right now, somewhere. Soon going to raise a family. I feel I have completed my day. I should go get a head start on tomorrow.

Today is Christmas! I woke up and forgot I wasn't at home, I just laid in bed and looked up at the ceiling. Presents are a past thing; now I have a job, and bigger things ahead of me. I can now beleive in things greater then Santa. I can beleive in my self, and what I stand for.
I right write to much personal things in here, hopefully no one ever reads this. I keep it under my bed, it's kinda lumpy when I sleep, but with out it there, it's weird too.

Dear Dairy,
It is the day after Christmas, and Christmas day was great! I walked out in the market and visited random people. I made alot of friends. One friend, Hiaka wants me to come over for tea sometime. It will be great!
Well the Okiya is very quiet... it always is, I just expected something more exiting. Like always seeing people have classes, and watching, but the doors are always closed in training and not much of it is going on because the holiday. So after cleaning most days I go to the Shrine. and Pray.

Today when I was at the Inn down town, I ran into an old friend. She works at another Okiya, but that okiya is falling apart and losing their ways, I don't know what she worked as there though. I beleive she is going to join our okiya, if she is exepted. I do hope she is. My life would be so much happier. Not that it isn't, but I didn't think life could get better then this, and it just might. Good night!

Today I heard someone at the door. So I answered it, and it was a man who had a letter for the okiya I beleive. I don't really know who it was for, but I took it upstairs to Mothers room, and she wasn't there. So... now opened it. I have to go, because I'm going to read it.

A new Geiko has arrived. Just like Akiyama-Lucya said. She is very pretty, I envy her alot. She reminds me of my mother. Exept very younger.

Dear Dairy,
It has been a long time since I have written in my dairy. I have been very busy lately, Many Geisha and Maiko are coming in and out getting ready for parties, and dinners that I have no time to clean everything in one day, I have to expand my time more into the night when I am to be sleeping.
Yesterday was a very nice day though. Most of the Geisha and Maiko were at school..... I do not recall ever hearing about when I would go to school. I don't know if I ever will... but I will keep trying. It is time to go back inside and clean. I will leave it at that.

Dear Dairy,
It's been very quiet around here, and I know the way of the Geisha is dieing... very slowly, but our weakness isn't that it's disappearing; it's letting everyone know we accept it. I never see anyone around anymore, every once in awhile, but it is very boring around here lately.
I've finished the book I was reading. It was called Memoirs of a Geisha. Sayuri was a famous Geisha of the past, and yet she still lives on in books and memories, Now that I have finished that book, I need to find something else to do on my spare time.
I don't know... I think I'll take a break since everyone else is right now.

I think I'm going to leave the Okiya, there is no progress, and everyone is gone. I'm not even sure their doing work anymore. I'm here slaving off... and nobody around to do it for. My job here is not needed... I will wait awhile longer, but if things stay the same... I shall take my leave after the moon rises.
