When you hear the beginning of the song, what stops your from/makes you change the song?

To me, if the beginning doesn't have catchy guitar or rhythm, it's a boresnore to me.

o__o I generally only listen to music when drawing. If I don't draw well while a song is playing, then I consider that song "crap" and add it to the long list of stuff I dislike.

Psshhh... Some of my favorite songs don't really have "catchy" openers; Nine Inch Nails has a few songs at the least that open with a fairly boring segment before getting to something interesting. Most of them, if memory serves correctly, are on With Teeth; the rest are scattered primarily on The Downward Spiral and The Fragile.

Personally, though, I tend to listen to music "whenever." I'll listen (and tolerate) most anything, but I greatly appreciate music with an actual message outside of how this dude wants to ******** a ho or this guy's gonna kill himself because his girlfriend dumped him or whatever.

99% of modern music that I hear is crap.

For me the song has to be catchy if its not catchy it wont get my attention.

If its a slow song I like it when they reach up there high amazing voices like jennifer hudson or whitney houston or chaka khan

Yeah I like my R&B music but as people have told me always in the music i listen to theres always a part where someone belts out a high note which i never really noticed until i really listened to the music i hear, its kind of funny
