After about 2 hours of driving, and heavy reliance on the GPS in his car, Kevin arrived at the upper half of the mountain range. He looked up and saw a few mountains covered in snow, and could see little people buzzing around like bees skiing. He drove up to the base of the mountain and parked his car in the parking lot. He grabbed his bag and walked into the elevator at the bottom of the mountain. It took him up to a ski resort built into the side of the mountain. Kevin grinned, this was soooo exactly what he needed.

Kevin walked into the elevator and went up to the main lobby of the resort. He walked up to the guy at the counter as asked "If I want to stay in a decent room for two nights, how much?" He asked. "Uhh...I dunno." He said blankly, as he turned and looked at the list of prices. "A decent room? Or a good one?" He asked. "Either is fine." Kevin responded. "For a good room, one with two beds, and has a direct path to the lifts, it's like...295 a night. This included the complementary breakfast, dinner, and lift passes." He said dully. "Whatever, 3 nights I guess." He said as he handed the cashier a card and he swiped it. A small green dollar sign came up on the screen of the register, then disappeared and was replaced with a green checkmark. Kevin turned and saw Matt walk in. "Did you pay already?" He asked Kevin. "Yea, let's go, I'm getting all jittery from this waiting." He said as they walked down a hallway to their room at the end of the hall. "Nice." Kevin said as he dropped his bag on a bed.

Kevin put his helmet on. It was black with a stripe containing the colors red, yellow, and and green, going down the middle. On of the sides of it there were X-Games, Red-Bull, and Vitamin water stickers, and on the other, there was a yellow smiley face with a rhasta cap on, and dreads. Kevin put his goggles on and grinned. "Got my new board too." He said as he held up his white Burton snowboard. "You ready?" He asked Matt who grinned. "Let's get this done." He added with a smile as he jumped onto the rail of the stairs and slid down. Kevin followed behind holding his snowboard. Matt's skiis were crossed in an X formation on his back.

Kevin hopped onto the lift with Matt. They rode to the top, which was a large flat area, with a few trails going down, one leading down to a giant jump, and one with a large rail, a ramp, and one leading to the lodge area, where people could buy food and drinks. Kevin grinned. "Take out your camera, you aren't gonna wanna miss this." He said with a grin. Matt took out his phone and turned the camera on. Kevin waved to him and took his goggles off, to let anybody watching the video know it was him. He put his goggles back on and clicked the boot straps on his board shut, before rotation himself so he was facing sideways. He jumped down the hill and jumped onto the rail, then jumping and doing a 360 down, and landing so he was facing forward. He slid a bit then fell into the snow, kicking up a lot of powder as he went down. "Man...when you're right you're right. I definitely didn't wanna miss that." Matt said with a laugh as he saved the video.

Matt tossed Kevin the phone as Kevin unclicked his boots, so he could stand up. He stood up and caught the phone. Matt grinned and jumped down the hill on his skiis, grinding over the rail and then 360ing off. He went over the small ramp and into the air. He turned upside-down, and spun 3 times with his skiis crossed in an "X" shape. He turned back rightside-up and landed it, turning sharply and kicking up snow as he stopped moving. "How was that?" He asked Kevin with a grin. "Dude...what happened? You suck now." He said with a laugh. "First time in a few years, cut me some slack." Kevin said to Matt. He saved the video and sent it to himself. "I want another run, that was just a warm-up." He said to Matt as he grabbed his board and tossed the phone to Matt.

Kevin got to the top of the small hill, and got back onto his board. He jumped down the hill, he wasn't going to fall again. He did a 360 onto the rail, and then jumped off. He hit the ramp and went up about 12 feet. He grabbed the front of his board and pulled back, so it looked like he was almost laying on his side, but with his board on his feet, and the top half of his body bending upwards slightly. He did a 720 (2 full rotations) and let go of his board. He extended his arms slightly, and waved them rotated them in little circles as he hit the ground and rode for about 5 more feet before turning and stopping. Matt saved the video. "I got it...I'm hungry...let's get something to eat." Matt suggested. "Yea...some food couldn't hurt." Kevin responded as he and Matt rode down the hill to the snack lodge.

The two got to the lodge. It was roughly the size of the ampitheater and the big house combined. It was huge, and there was easily 800 people in it, probably more. They found a table open just as a family of 5 left. They sat at the booth and looked outside. There was a small box (thats a rail that's long and flat, much resembling that of a large cardboard box) a ramp, and then a dip down into a large halfpipe. There were two tall poles in the ground with a banner strung between them. It read: "get your vitamins! Vitamin Water tour, New York! 12:15-4:30!" Kevin looked up and then looked at his watch. "Dude...it's totally like..." He looked back at his watch. "It's only 2:47. You could totally win that. I hear the winner gets a year's supply of vitamin water." He said excitedly. Matt got up. "I'm hungry. I'm gonna go grab a burger and some fries. You want anything? I'll pay." He said. "Uhh...yea, I'll have a cheeseburger and fries. Oh and a coke." He said. Matt nodded and walked to the line. He returned about 5 minutes later with a tray of food. "You got yourself 4 cheeseburgers?" Kevin asked. "No...only 3...one is yours." He said, giving Kevin his cheeseburger.

Kevin ate. As he finished his burger and fries, Matt finished all 3 of his burgers, and 3 orders of fries. "Wow...are you serious? Your an animal." Kevin said to Matt with a laugh. "I don't mess around." Matt said with a laugh. He grabbed his skis and walked to the door. "You comin'?" He asked. "Yea...I'm comin relax dude." Kevin said as he grabbed his snowboard and followed Matt. Matt walked out to the line of people. He had his very lightweight, insulated, Dew Tour jacket, that he won during the Dew Tour (which is a series of contests at different mountains, sponsored by mountain dew). Some of the other kids in the line looked at Matt and saw his jacket. They were sort of intimidated by it, losing confidence as they saw their chances at victory disappear.

Kevin was up next. He hopped onto his board and rode down, doing the same routine, but this time, he tried to do a 720 while grabbing the middle of his board. He came down the side of the half-pipe and was somewhat worried he wouldn't make it. He landed it fine, but wobbled a bit on his way out of the half-pipe. Next up was Matt. He jumped down and did a grind on the box, before doing a 360 off. He grinned. He landed backwards and went off the jump backwards, crossing his skis into the same X shape as he left the ramp. When he was upside down he began to spin, then leaned forward and did another spin while flipping. He landed it perfectly, facing forward this time. As he went into the half pipe he did a 360, then a 540, then just did a grind on the top of it, before doing a 540 off of it and landing backwards. He met Kevin at the end. "Nice run man...wow...when did you learn to do that?" He asked him. "I'm just so badass, that I learn stuff during runs, and never practice." He said with a laugh. "Did you catch that 720 mac on the phone?" He asked Kevin. "Yea, I got that, I got everything, starting from doing the 360 off of the box and landing backwards." He said proudly.

4:30 came around and the two guys in the vitamin water jackets checked the scores and names on the list. They picked up a walkie talkie and talked into it, their words sounding from large speakers around the mountain. "Uhh..Matt Grindel, you've placed first in the Get your Vitamins tour competition. Please come back to the contest area to recieve your prize." Matt laughed. "Awesome, let's go." He said with a laugh as he and Kevin rode back to the contest area. There were four other kids there. 3 of them complaining that it wasn't fair that Matt won, and one of them saying he was Matt. "Which one of you is the real Matt?" The contest guy asked. "I am." The other kid said. "Actually...you aren't." Kevin said showing the guy in the vitamin water jacket the video of Matt's run. The guy nodded and asked matt what room he was staying in. "Oh yea..room 311A." He said to the guy. "Alright sir, your years supply of vitamin water will be there shortly. Please enjoy your stay here at Powder Mountain resort, and here's a complementary vitamin water for winning. Grab one from the cooler." He said. Matt smiled and grabbed a grape vitamin water and opened it up, taking a sip. "Is everything you drink grape?" Kevin asked Matt. "No...just most of it." Matt responded with a laugh.
