my interests are to many to list...but of course my main interest is God and my religion, i love to help others, and i'm really easily entertained...so i can enjoy almost anything i do, although i do not really play video games or watch tv or listen to most modern music...

What kind of church do you attend?(example: Tridentine, Maronite, Novus Ordo): i go to the Traditional Latin mass staffed by the FSSP.
What is your Catholic background?: born and raised catholic, although i only really got interested in my faith when i was a teenager(around 14) and only after i was about 17 did i become more devout,
although i've been going to the traditional mass since 2008, up until then i was born into the Maronite Rite and went to that mass most my life, although i'm still officially Maronite by birth.
What are your career/vocation interests?: currently my interests in a career are cooking or cake decorating, but as for my vocation interests...i've been advised not to talk with anyone about that while i'm in the discerning process, so that's all i'm saying one way or the other about that.

Favorite Saint?:I don't really have a favorite, but the saint I seem to relate to a lot is Saint Peter (the apostle).
Favorite books?:First and foremost is the Bible after that things just are random. My favorite books to read are usually classics, so I guess some of my favorites include A Tale of Two Cities, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and (even though this isn't a classic) The Time Traveler's Wife
What kind of church do you attend?(example: Tridentine, Maronite, Novus Ordo):Well, to be honest I had to do some research before answering this question. sweatdrop I never knew there were different types of churches. whee Sorry! Anyway, to answer the question I attend a Novus Ordo church; we do use a lot of Latin in my parish during Lent, though (and I do enjoy that 3nodding ).
What is your Catholic background?:I was born and raised Catholic, and went through all the basic Catholic rituals (i.e., baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation). I have always been interested in my faith, but lost interest in high school and didn't really get genuinely interested again until about 2006 (a year before my daddy went home to God). I always loved learning the background of various religions and how our faith came to be a major world religion. I also am a little bit of a rebel, I feel I should admit, thinking that women should be allowed to be at least deacons, girls should be allowed (which they do in my parish) to help the priest at Mass, and gays should be allowed to marry. Other than those three areas, I am what I consider a very conservative Catholic. My strong postions are anti-abortion and anti-death penalty.
What are your career/vocation interests?:My career intrests seem to have something to do with bringing my faith to those who do not see it as plainly as I do. I am sure it has something to do with my writing talent, photography, animation skills, and ability to see good in all things and/or people. In the past I considered entering a convent, but later learned (through the grace of God) that, that life is most likely not for me. I've figured God will guide me in the right direction. He already led me back to college/university (which I just graduated from this past December).
Likes?:Most of these can be found in my profile, but a few include: the color blue in all its shades, rainbows, and Gregorian chant.
Dislikes?:Violence, the dark, elevators (I'm very clausterphobic), the devil, and being separated from my family for long periods of time
Anything else you'd like to say?:I'm type two diabetic, best friends with my brother (Steven), live at home with him and my mom, and recently am trying to start my own company with Steven. I am also an introvert for the most part, but on the internet I tend to open up more. I'm also a tomboy. Lastly, my avatar tends to dress and look how I do in real life or how I would dress if I had the right body style/size (which I'm getting close to as I'm trying to lose weight to get back to my healthy weight of 120-130 pounds).

What is your Catholic background?: Born and raised catholic, went to catholic school for 13 years, baptized, confirmed, and married at a catholic church. Stopped going to church during my teenage and early adulthood. I started questioning human faith and which belief was the one telling the absolute truth. All that remained was my faith in God alone and my thirst for knowledge. It's a long story, but in short, it took me a lot of effort, time, and reading on various common beliefs and christian religions, history, exploring other christian churches and their beliefs, getting to know people with different christian and non-christian beliefs, until I ended up where I started, Roman Catholic Church. But this time, I am finally sure about what I believe in and keep studying and learning more about it. I thank God for his wisdom and guidance which kept me safe and brought me back home stronger.

I didn't really understand how AMAZING God is until about 2 years ago, because my parents never really took me to church; they both went through 13 years of Catholic school and I think it ruined mass and God's grandeur for them.

What is your Catholic background?: Baptized when I was a baby, I have received Holy Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation. I sing in my church choir and have been going to mass every Sunday throughout my entire life.
What are your career/vocation interests?: I either want to be a broadway actress or a forensic anthropologist. Vocation: My friends think I should become a nun, but I have not given it much thought.
Likes?: God (duh), the color blue, true love, Classic Disney music, classic love stories(that do not end in tragedy), movies, and best friends.
Dislikes?: bad movie sequels, bugs, seperation, divorce, violence, abortion, blasphemy, and homosexuality (my friends would hurt me if they saw this, sadly)

Favorite Saint?: St. Ananias! I've had a bit of favoritism for him after a particularly good homily by my Monsignor. Also St. Paul, St. Claire, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Francis, St. Jude, St. Joseph... LOTS. I love the saints!
Favorite books?: As far as spiritual reading goes, that'd be... "GET US OUT OF HERE!!", by Nicky Eltz, a book of interviews with Maria Simma, a visionary and mystic who was visited regularly by the Holy Souls in purgatory. Excellent book, excellent read. Also all the books by Anne, a lay apostle.
Secular reading = Tolkien.
What kind of church do you attend?(example: Tridentine, Maronite, Novus Ordo): Currently, Mary Star of the Sea in San Pedro; Novus Ordo. When I'm visiting up north, St. Steven's First Martyr; Tridentine. I love the Tridentine right for sure. :3

Interests/Hobbies?: Music, is it my passion. Guitar, Vocals, what ever I can get my hands on. Anthropology, and Language, a little odd but language joins those with a common way of interacting.

What is your Catholic background?: I am Irish/Italian, raised and blessed to have to close, priests with in my family, one being a Jesuit, there other I am not sure. My father was educated by Jesuits, so to say the least I am a bit favoring towards the Jesuits.
What are your career/vocation interests?: I am working towards my Doctorate in Anthropology, History, and Psychology. I hope to become a Deacon, I have been called. I have many stories in which I learned more about myself and the Heavenly Father. I am more then will to share, just in a different form then in an introduction

Well, figured I ought to say hi and introduce myself. So hello all, and hope to get to meet my fellow Catholics on here soon enough!
So, for the run down:
Name: Actual name is John. Why is my character name Luke? Long story. <.<
Age: 36
Birthday: June 9, 1979
Interests/Hobbies: Well, suppose it could all be summed up as composition, be it writing, music, drawing and digital imagery, or even dabbling in trying to learn the quirkiness that is computer programming.
Favorite Saint: Hard to pick, but for a time when logic and rationality is needed, I'd say a toss up between St. Augustine of Hippo and St. Thomas Aquinas.
Favorite books: Besides Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, I do like St. Augustine's Confessions, Dante's Divine Comedy, and, a more current series, the Hyperion novels by Dan Simmons are a pretty decent sci-fi similar to Star Wars and Star Trek, but with fewer uber obsessive fan boys and girls <.<
What kind of church do you attend? The one established by Jesus and the Apostles. Though, if you want to get into technicalities, the liturgy of the Mass is done in Novus Ordo. Although, we do have a Tridentine Mass on certain Sundays of the month at one local parish.
What is your Catholic background? I'm a Protestant convert, more specifically, I came in from a Methodist, Assemblies of God, and Lutheran mix. The classic American Bible believing mutt (albeit I tend to be a cat in character <.<).
What are your career/vocation interests? Right now, to be the best customer service associate I can be at the particular retail store I work at so I can finally work into something more full time. On the long term, to continue to follow Christ, even if that may wind up leading to having to scratch my own plans to follow his plans for me. Of course, it would be preferable if the plans are mutually agreeable, so hopefully my current plans meet eye to eye with Christ's.
