I have mixed feelings on this next book. I think James Patternson could've stopped at book three because everything was explained and there was no need for another book. Now it's all about saving the environment, global warming, and Fang+Max. What happened to the kids on the run? They hang around with adults and are all 'save the environment!' Hoping this book will be better, but it probably won't. Barnes & Noble description says it all:
"Max and the Flock are flying high over Africa, but this time they're not alone. A sky full of cargo planes accompanies the team as they bring much-needed aid to the continent's poverty stricken regions. Among the volunteers is the mission's benefactor—the mysterious billionaire, Dr. Hans Gunther-Hagen. Max is intrigued by his generosity, but there's also something about him—and his intense scrutiny of the Flock—that makes her nervous.
But Dr. Hans isn't the only puzzling thing about their trip. The Flock also receives a cryptic message from a young girl, who tells them, "The sky will fall." Max and the Flock are ready to return home, still unable to make sense of her statement. But the surprises don't end with their departure, and something unbelievably momentous shakes up the Flock—pushing Max and Fang closer than ever. Will the team be able to stick together through the chaos?"

Really? I haven't read them in a while, but I know I really enjoyed number four. (I remember not wanting to put it down at all, but I had to because I was packing for a trip.) ...that description absolutely sucks. I defiantly like the description found here much better. I suggest reading the preview too, it defiantly helped me be excited. (;

I hadn't heard about teh second paragraph. But notice how Fang is called Max's soulmate. That second paragraph makes it seem like a freaking romance novel.
No, but the description I kept seeing was neither of those. It was about Angel giving a prophecy that Fang is going to be the first to die*insertgasphere*! I hate how they keep developing new powers whenever they need them. Makes it seem like a flock of god damn Mary Sues.

Haha, I'm rereading the books right now, so maybe... I dunno. xD And I see nothing wrong with it being kinda like a romance novel, but maybe that's because I really enjoy them. Do you not?
And yes, if you read the preview, Angel does say that (causing Max to almost hurt her). But I don't think it's a new power or anything. The girl can already read minds, so maybe she heard something somewhere? I dunno. Also, I'm not quite sure they developed them "when they needed them" I mean seriously, besides being awesomely cool, especially for a blind dude, what's the point of feeling colors? x3 But I do think Angel is getting pretty damn annoying, and in a way, very Mary Sue-ish. *sigh*

Ahaha! My friend and I keep guessing on what Angel's next power will be. I put my money on the power to shoot acid out her ears! She IS the prime example of a Mary-Sue.
I HATED book 4! It was by far the worst. Not only was it short, but the whole plot just seemed kinda...eco-freak to me. It had nothing to do with any of the other books.
What I think FANG should be is a retelling of book 1 from Fang's point of veiw.
I hope that the "something momentous [that] shakes up the Flock" has to do with somehow un Mary-Sueing Angel. Or getting rid of her. She's kinda creepy... xp

Kiba Rawrz sweatdrop What is that series, is it any good, or is it a skiper It's good if you read the first three books, stop there, and act like that's the entire series. I suggest you do that.
