User ImageReverie padded down the rooftop gently, languorously gazing out over the milling streets from her perch above. Something was going on; rolls of cable that looked like yarn were tottering into the building, electricity leapt from light strings and black boxes that the humans below were fiddling with intently.

Bemused, she watched them from her perch on the facade. She hadn't been to the Stacks in a long time and she'd nearly forgotten what it was like to have this many people bustling around, how much electricity zigzagged through the wires. Being in Clan Caster, she tended to keep to Clifftop, which had its own share of excitement and humans to watch, but it was nothing like this.

She wanted a change of pace, something new to daydream about back home. Spread herself out contentedly over the white and yellow lit sign, she lapped at the surging electricity occasionally, not gulping it up, but more in the fashion of a connoisseur. Perhaps, she mused, she'd see something interesting. Human watching was fun, but she secretly hoped that another cat might recognize the electric feast and keep her company. It felt like ages since she'd met anyone new.

User ImageScrabbling atop of the roof shingles, Citron made her way to the top of the highest roof she could find. As a young Statikitten, she was very adventurous and curious. She has wandered down from the mountains and ended up in a place with many lights and two legged creatures. This was her first time in a human dwelling area. She nibbled carefully on a thin black electrical wire, then soon heard an annoyed human below the roof. She pressed her face onto the glass and saw the human fidget with a thin gray box with fuzzy pictures on it and couldn't help but to laugh.

As Citron danced across the roofs of the unknowing humans, she saw something pink from the corner of her eye. She stopped abruptly and looked to the side, seeing another Staticat, she was definitely older than she was, and seemed to be happily feeding off of a strange light. Citron happily jumped around, "Hello there!" she jumped around and then lost her balance and found herself in a gutter next to the roof. Surprised, she quickly jumped back into the roof and clung onto the shingles again.

Feeling restless - moreso than usual - one night, Tater decided to take a trip down the mountain to the stacks. There were lots of bright lights down there, and the slow folk were always doing something interesting. Tater liked to make a hobby of watching the slow folk, actually, and loved making up names for the strange things they made and used.

Anyways, Tater was wandering around the Stacks, hopping from roof to climb-outside platform to roof, dancing in the light. He caught sight of another cat - a lovely-looking Red, all delicate lace and swirls, sitting on the roof of the shouting house. Then, a Green kitten emerged on a roof across the way and tried to make the jump to the shouting house - and missed! Suddenly in a panic, Tater ran along the edge of his roof to try and get a better look at the kitten. Falling was dangerous at any age, especially if a kitten landed on her head, interrupting her lifespark -

There she was, scrambling up the side of the building, apparently safe. Heaving a sigh of relief, Tater walked back to a good place to jump to the shouting house roof. He was considering reprimanding the kitten for her carelessness, but caught sight of the Red lady again, and wondered coyly if she'd ever been inside the shouting house. It was dark and private in there, and entertaining to watch. He jumped roofs, and strutted forward, making his presence known with a cocky "Hello, ma'am."

User ImageSneak, sneak, sneak.

Southpaw had been following the older adult a long, long way, from the mountains all the way here. It hadn't been an easy journey. An adult's body was obviously more capable of certain feats than hers - travelling for a particular distance without getting tired, for example. Violets, she'd heard, were supposedly the hardiest of all Staticats, and she was proud of that... but a kitten could only tolerate so much exertion in one day.

Determined to explore as much as she could, and keep up with her "guide", Southpaw quickly found ways around the bigger gaps; clambering down so she could hop from one balcony to the other, for example, or sidling along the edge until the jump was not too big.

When he finally, finally paused (to talk to a very pretty red female!), the violet kitten was exhausted. She flopped on the spot, barely hanging on the roof shingles... and noticed the red was feeding. She was hungry, very hungry, and if she could just pull herself up there...

User ImagePurring with amusement at the little kitten's antics and thankful that she hadn't fallen on her way to get to the roof, Reverie stretched and straightened up to greet her visitor. She had felt a keen swipe of worry as the kitten teetered on the edge of the building, and her relief translated itself into a warm smile.

"Why, hello there," she said to the little green kitten, "you look as though you've had an adventure getting here, little one."

She wondered how much had changed in the Stacks since she'd last visited and was on the verge of asking the kitten to elaborate on what had brought her here when Reverie noticed that another cat had approached, this time an adult.

His coat was a icy blue and if she was reading his smile right, he had been many places and had many stories to tell. Shifting smoothly into a sitting position, she licked her paw playfully in his direction. She was quite curious to learn more about him."And hello to you as well."

"Both of you, please feel free to help yourselves."
She gestured at the wires, now humming with a steady stream of power. "My name is Reverie."

User ImageCitron mewled happily as she heard the lovely female reply, "It was a very long journey!" she pipped, this time trying not to be quite so bouncy. Citron had never been to the Stacks, and this place was indeed very fun. There was energy everywhere, and not just energy that she could feed off of.

Citron noticed the activity of the slow folk. They all seemed to be very excited indeed, and she couldn't help but to feel excited as well. Acknowledging the invitation, she carefully stepped her way towards the spot where Reverie was feeding. Citron was starving, after that long distance traveled to get here, she definitely needed a recharge, "I'm Citron!" She giggled happily as she took a bit of the power from the wire experimentally.
