With the way that the Earth seemed to be slowly taking back what was hers, unwilling to bend to the whims of the gems that had originally set up the kindergarten there. Unfortunately, it seemed that she would have no time to take in the beauty and splendor that day. The moment that she was solidified again, Musgravite's voice hit her ears, and her bow was instantly out and drawn, shoulders tensing up. It was with a strange sense of mollified relief that she sighed at the sight of the actual monsters, the ghost of a smile touching at her lips. She had been concerned for a moment that it was something that would be difficult, but how could something be so cute pose a threat? Chuu Gems were almost adorable enough to keep as pets. (Almost. Musgravite would have a fit, and Hiddenite didn't have a death wish, thank you very much.) Carefully aligning her arrow so that she would hit her target, Hiddenite's eyes narrowed, and she fired.
Bull's eye! A small sense of pride swelled in her chest despite herself. Although she didn't enjoy conflict, it was nice to know how good her aim was, how true her arrows appeared to fly. It brought with it a sense of security, that she could hold her own in at least the most basic of battles. However, her pride did not last long, eyes widening and arms going slack as the gem simply divided and came back, angrier than before. It was now that the anxiety of battle flared up beneath her skin, not near as severe as it usually was still, but it was certainly there. Hiddenite clenched her jaw, gave her head a small shake and lifted her bow up once more. Two more arrows flew, and soon there were four chuus instead of two. Oh boy. Oh no. Oh yes 8D Another no-brainer contest where you can win prizes. Generate a number from 1-5000, and if it's the same as one of the following numbers, you will win a 6K prize (depends on our prize funds).
Once one of the numbers has been generated, that number is no longer valid for additional players to generate. Yes, players can win multiple prizes. However, no one may win more than three prizes per category.
YOU are responsible for (a) realizing that you have generated a winning number and (b) sending a PM to IvyStarling so that they can update this list.
All prizes will be distributed on March 24, 2010.

Of course, you can't have a Pollvolution event without a...♣ {{ TEKTEK }} CONTEST●●●Yet another tektek contest :'D I'm sure you guys love these contests~
[/And no, there's not going to be an avatar contest this time, since last time, only FOUR people entered .__.]
Anyways, the procedure goes like this:
(1) Create one to two St. Patrick's day themed/inspired tekteks at tektek.org.
(2) Give your entries a title - your entry will not be accepted without one
(3) PM your entries to IvyStarling with a labeled PM - e.g. "St. Patrick's Tektek Contest." - by March 16.
(4) Sit back and relax. On March 17, voting will begin (as is custom, through polls). Voting will last for one week, ending on March 24.
(5) The winner earns 40K*. If there are 5 or more participants, there will be a second place (who will earn 10K). If there are 7 or more participants, there will be a third place (who will earn 5K).
(6) If there is a tie in certain places (say, a three-way tie for second place), the gold value of the prize value will be divided equally among the entries who tied.
No, there is no price limit. No, it does not matter whether or not the layering would actually work on Gaia. *Yes, prizes will increase if there is more gold in the guild mule (i.e. prize funds). Yes, you may edit your submission, but all edits and submissions are due by March 16.

The idea was stolen from suggested by the omniscient Toontastic.
Here's how it's going to work:
(1) There are 7777 tickets up for sale.
(2) Each ticket costs 10 gold.
(3) Send a trade to Elf_kin (or The Original Elf) that is labeled "St. Patrick's Lotto - [insert number] Tickets."
(3) You may buy as many tickets as you would like.
(4) When all of the tickets are sold (or by March 24), a random number generator will pick one number from 1 to 7777. Whoever owns that ticket will win the March 2010 letter. Sounds good, no? :3
