God told the Animals,
“Tomorrow I’ll invite you to my banquet. You must not be late.”
After hearing the news, the Rat who likes practical jokes… told its neighbor,
the Cat that the banquet is the day after tomorrow.
On that day, the rat rode on the Ox, and jumped off to get into the banquet first.
The Ox followed, then came the Tiger and everyone else.
The celebration lasted until the next morning.
Except for the deceived cat… who had slept that day dreaming of the banquet that was to come the next day.
But when the Cat came to the banquet and no one was there he made a promise to be the Rat's enemy for ages to come.

I want this to have the same characters as the book but you may make them act a bit different from it. I give you permission. ~RULES~ 1. Follow The Gaian TOS.
2. There will be no characters below the age of sixteen.
3. I don't mind cussing but not every other word.
4. No killing anyone else Character unless they say its okay cause they are leaving and that would make me sad. TT.TT
5. Please Pm all profiles to myself, and i will put them up. Put a blaugh 3nodding blaugh in so I know you read the rules. Put Fruba rp (then which animal you are) keep in mind that there is a limit on characters cause they are the zodiac people and then a girl like Tohru. But you MAY make a regular human if you want.
6. All characters must be approved before they start rping, Post right after your character has been accepted
7. Try not controlling other people character unless requested to by the owner
8. People can only be one person from the zodiac but you can be a regular human. Like fan girls or friends to the characters.
9. Don't use ** for actions just write them out, and use (()) for ooc. Use "..." when speaking please and its okay if you miss spell things just try to edit your own work or ask someone to help (Like me)
10. Romance is also allowed and encouraged just remember that there is no cybering anything like that is to be taken to pms, i do not mind if it is implied though.
12. Most importantly there will be no dissing of other characters it is not nice and very unwanted.
13. Try to do more then one line per post. I don't mind if it short, medium long, what ever is fine and again if you need help spiffing up your post just ask someone or me and I'd be glad to help.

The onigiri: (Taken-Chess-chan) the onigiri is a shy loving person who tends to be a big klutz. The her mother just died and he has a bit of a mothers complex. Her father died when she was little. Compatible with any of them. (but in fruits basket goes with the cat but it can be who ever)
The God: ( - ) The God rules over the Zodiac. Though his/her life is short-lived little is known about the god. The god is the one who controls the Zodiac and his/her body can be frail and very sickly.
The Rat: ( - ) People born in the Year of the Rat are noted for their charm and attraction. They work hard to achieve their goals, acquire possessions, and are likely to be perfectionists. People of the Rat are easily angered and like to gossip. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful. They are most compatible with people born in the years of the Dragon, Monkey, and Ox.
The Ox: ( - ) People born in the Year of the Ox are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. They tend, however, to be eccentric, and bigoted, and they anger easily. They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. What I'm doing with my life: I'm in high school and have a part time job.
I act like:I describe myself as an excellent artist who loves cooking and cleaning. I'm often told I needs to look out for my own interests and not shoulder everyone else burdens but I can't really help it. I hate to see other people sick and tend to worry about then when they are.
Because of my past: My mother raised me alone when my father died when I was three. I always had the best times with her and I was crushed when she died before my first day of high school. It was the first, and last day that I got to see her but I didn't get to tell her have a good day. And she didn't come back. I don't want to burden my friends so I am living in a tent rather than staying with my friends. I lied to my friends, which I feel horrible about, and told them that I was living with my grandfather. I have an after-school job as an office janitor to pay my tuition fees so that my grandfather does not have to worry about anything. After my mother died i'd vowed to keep her the person closest to my heart and graduate school.
I found things I hate: Not having my family with me, Burdening others, people I love being sick, being mean, and hurting others.

Because of my past: When I started seventh grade, my classmates harassed and ostracized me because of my naturally tawny hair and golden eyes, an effect of my curse, and the cause of my shyness. Because of my past: My parents were devoted to me. We were a perfect family, different from the other Sohma families. Special. Until I asked them why. Everything went sour from then on. They started to neglect me and they abused me so bad I went into hospitalization. After which, My mom came to the hospital, saying she didn't need or want me anymore. Haru was there. He was always there. Eventually, Haru and I were in an on-off relationship. Akito was furious when he found out, he always is like that.

Haru sighed as he moved out of bed. The Sohma home had comfy beds but the maids were so picky. He let out a yawn as he went over to his closet and grabbed his uniform. He slid on the pants and shirt, only buttoning it half way. He slid his necklace on and and put on his wrist bands. He grabbed his bag and left his room, working his way towards the gates of the estate. "Hmm...wonder where everyone else is. Oh well..." He sighed and began to walk to school.

Tohru smiled up at the sky not really watching where she was going. All she cared about was going to school then work. She wondered how late she was going to be getting home to her mother. Tohru smiled more as she walked down the road and through the gates of the buildings. She walked in and was greeted by some friends who fussed over her. She smiled even though she wanted to cry, to just scream at how everything was unfair but she couldn't. She promised her mother that she would graduate and keep her close to her heart even though she couldn't be there in person. She smiled as she felt a hand on her head and watched as the smiled back before taking their seats next to, and behind her. She wasn't sure she could survive this with her friends as close as they were.
