Okay so the main charecter is somewhat of a horrible person, he's involved in a gang, skips school and at one point ends up in jail. I dont want to reveal too much about it but they do something horrible to him that makes him involutarily react to music, he associates it with the horrible things he did and tries desperatly to get away from it. The ending was a bad one, I mean it made me angry at the writer, but it was completely necessary to the plot line and after a while I bagan to love it. It was also released as a movie (which stuck very well to the book) but I prefer the written word. It does have some pretty vividly written scenes of promiscuous behavior but that is just who the main charecter is.

This is one i ave been wanting to read for a long time. I seen the movie and have been looking for the book since. I cann't find it anywhere.

If I were you I would order it online, I had to scour my home town to find it, and it was in a secondhand store when I finally did. Its completely worth the read however, if you enjoyed the movie youll love the book even more.

I love that movie. My friends and I watched it a while ago. I know where I can get the book, and I tried reading it, but I was distracted and got lost in the beginning @_@.

iMiecena-kun I love that movie. My friends and I watched it a while ago. I know where I can get the book, and I tried reading it, but I was distracted and got lost in the beginning @_@. Thats a shame, it really is a great read, you should try again sometime, there are aspects in the book that dont even get a miniscule mention in the movie
