The Hundreds Years War
The war between England and France. Not a single war that has lasted centuries but a series of conflicts that have spanned the centuries in an everlasting fight with the end nowhere in sight. Traders have brought black powder from the far east further escalating the conflict between the two nations.
This fight that has started out with Swords, Bows, and glorious Calvary charges have now been introduced to gunfire being thrown in. With arms continually advancing to gain the upper edge mercenaries are now flooding the market to strike it rich and earn fame and prestige.
However through the last several centuries the true reason for the fighting has been lost, and each nation is now just seeking to destroy the other through any means even if it means making it an uneven fight. Prussia has joined England giving the English a safe landing point onto the mainland, while the Spanish have joined the French bolstering her forces as well as adding a safe haven for the french behind the Perrine mountain range should the worse come to pass.
Which side will you join. England & Prussia who now seek to destroy the French and Spanish to grab new land for their ever growing populations? The French and Spanish who seek to put an end to the Protestants that have endangered the Catholic Church? Or will you join the mercenaries who seek to prolong the war and fill their pockets and raise their own status within the world? The Choice is yours, and you may even help lead a faction to victory.

Summary so Far This will be updated as we advance.
What has started out as war for the French Throne has turned into a blood feud between four countries that are not interested in such a thing anymore. Exploration has been scaled back so money could be used to fund war, and all science has been reduced to military application only. The Year is now 1700 and the fighting is still at a stale mate with neither side willing to budge an inch into their own land. Glorious Captains and Generals have risen and fallen in the past three hundred years thanks to this conflict. Various figures have risen and fallen also. Will you join their ranks and be hailed as a hero for your nation due to your deeds, or will you fight and become a myth after you nation has perished? The choice is yours.

England & Prussia
In The war versus France Britain had numerous disadvantages The first and foremost was that it had a smaller Navy and a smaller population than its larger adversary. To remedy that England hired mercenaries by the hundreds and thousands to help bolster her own forces. However these forces would not be any help at all if one could not make it across the channel to fight which, was being controlled by the French Navy who poured they troops over forcing the British on the defense.
In this they allied with the Prussians to help secure a safe port of harbor for troop landings and a Navy to fight back the French so that the troops had no danger while in the water itself. England could now take the fight to the French on her own soil.
As the fighting raged in Western Prussia, East Prussia welcomed traders from the far east bring many things, namely black powder that would change the face of war forever. The English and Prussians now had muskets and pistols and were using them to great effect as the French were being forced back more and more until Spain made an alliance with the embattled French forces and moved their armies and attacked until the countries boundaries returned to their original state before firearms were brought in. Despite that England and Prussia now have a considerable amount of forces armed with musket and pistol along with a small amount of cannon. A majority of their forces however still hold onto their spears, swords and bows for fighting.

France and Spain
Ever since the beginning for the War, France has fought on the offensive seizing the initiative and driving a dagger into the heart of the enemy. They were able to conquer the English Channel, as well as surround Britain until Prussia entered the conflict, forcing the French to go into defense on water and on land.
During the middle of the war Prussia introduced a new substance called black powder that is able to cause a monstrous explosion or launch a projectile further than any bow. Unfortunately France was not able to counter this new weapon and was forced back deep into their own country. That was until of course their God given neighbor of Spain intervened in the war on Frances behalf.
With Spains' introduction into the war along with her fresh troops the two allies were able to push Prussia and England back to their original borders. The Spanish and French have successfully gained black powder themselves but at high costs from the Italian city states so firearms use is limited to the elite. Though there firearms are limited the French have been able to stay in the war due to their intelligence network being able to gather information on troop movements of their enemy and the like. With this they are able to stay in the war despite their forces being battered by the new firearms.

Mercenaries
There is little to say about the Mercenaries. They are soldiers who have not been added to either countries' armies for various reasons. They are equipped with a random assortment of weapons and their attitudes and performance range widely with each group sometimes perfecting in different types of battle. The only unifying factor for Mercenaries is that they can be hired and fight for either country, however this faction is the only one that lacks a navy and depend on the contractor in that regard.
Most if not all mercenaries wish the war to prolong so that they may earn more and more money.

>< Damian Thule >< We are brothers in arms fighting the enemy where ever they appear before us, and defeating them till their number is none...
Damian looked at his map then at his surrounding officers as they were bustling about and bringing in new reports ever so often, moving a little piece on the map as it was needed to correspond with what was brought in. Damian sighed as he sat down to look at the map once more rubbing his temples at how much of a head ache it was to manage all the units he saw there.
"Move the fifth mercenary unit forwards and have the twenty eighth lead by Sir Roderick lead them on the left flank. Use Sir Frederick's Calvary in accordance with Sir Alacard's Lancers to try to punch a hole in the right. Let Sir William push up with his remaining troops and have all remaining nobles in the area support him with theirs as well." With Damian at the helm the little part of the front that he was with moved forward easily. Unfortunately his front covered but a speak of the entire front. Everywhere else the untis were bogged down with constant fighting or in the back healing and or resting.
Shaking his heads of the supply thoughts he stood up at which most of the men in the room bowed. "This battle is over gentlemen I will now see you in the rear." With that he left the ten and mounted his horse before riding away quickly to get away from the wants of war. During his ride he tried to remember his home back in Britain, but all he saw was the battlefield. There were no cliffs full of sea breezes, no verdant meadows to roll around in. No his home was the battle field full of destruction and death. Sighing at the melancholy thought he rode in remembering that his position was earned by his ancestor those fateful centuries ago.
...But remember the reason for our fight, we do not fight because we hate those that are in front of us, we fight to protect the ones we love that are behind us.
