For those who happen to read this and may be wondering how Kaaren ended up in Firefly Forest, here's at least a rough idea of what happened:
From deep within the Great Forest, faint music glided through the ancient wood giants. Sunbeams trickling down from the heavens danced among the trees to the timeless melody. The light breeze carrying the music on its silver wings rattled the mighty branches of ancient guardians, adding to the mystic tune.
Kaaren continued silently through the trees, enchanted by the music she dared not interrupt. The gentle wind danced among her feathers, ruffling her fur and caressing her wings. Wandering deeper into the wood, blind to all but the entrancing breeze and the melody on its wings, Kaaren did not see the mist beginning to envelope the forest, snaking around the giant trunks. Within moments, the world beyond the forest no longer could be seen through the golden mist. Still the wind sung its song to the gryphon, and still she glided blindly into the heart of the ancient wood.

Since I posted a little background on Kaaren (if you call that background rofl), I figured I might as well stick some information about Silver (from Evernight rp) in here too!
Looks like this thread is based on random characters!
If anyone wants to post random stuff about their characters in here, go for it! rofl
Silver is a young girl who has spent most of her life running. Or hiding. The parts she hasn't spent running or hiding, she spent in the possession of those who hunt her now. Why they're chasing her, she doesn't know. Only they do. Why they have put in so much effort just for the chance to torture her more, no one knows. Only they do. When she saw the inn, she saw shelter, a possible place to hide. To hide until starvation grants her death. That is where she is. She is at that place where death sounds sweet to the ear, a final peace. She fears she cannot die. That is her greatest fear, that and the men who haunt her.

Oh! I'm working on a storyish thingamajig on here about Kaaren's past. The first post in here about her ending up in Firefly Forest is going to be the epilogue! To watch the extremely slow progress, you can just keep an eye on Bloodwind
