Beautiful forests and lush grass. A lone cottage sitting among the trees. There's an old story telling of a beautiful rose that grows in these woods, a rose that never fades, never dies. Men have seeked it, died trying to find it, and have gone crazy searching for it. Why do they do this? Why do they wish to find it? The answer to this is greed and power, for this rose grants everlasting life. Offers have been made, knights and wizards have been paid to find it. The king wants it for himself, and one man protects it.  This is Everlasting Rose, and the search continues. Rules: 1) follow the ToS 2)romance no more than PG-13 3) Have fun

Tomas woke as the light from the moon shined through his window. He streached and got out of bed. He dressed, grabbed his two handed sword and walked out side. Tomas...the Rose whisperd in his mind.
"Nicholas!" The king bellowed. The knight rushed to his side. "Yes sire?"

Sabel walked through the woods, her dark hair shining in the moonlight. "Why are we out here again...?" Asked Sam, padding silently beside her.
"No reason, I just felt the need to walk around a bit."
She stepped smoothly through a gap between two trees and sat at the bank of a small lake. It reflected the night sky perfectly, its surface just as the night, was serene and peaceful. Sabel breathed in deep, taking in the nights freshness, then let out her breath with a sigh. Absentmindedly, she stroked Sam along his spine. He arched his back and purred, breaking the silence with his show of happiness.

Tomas..There are strangers in the wood...The Rose whispered.
"I'll go check.." He leaned his sword against the cottage and headed towards the small lake when he spotted Sabel. He hid behind a tree. Go talk to them... Tomas nodded and walked towards them, his head down and his shyness showing.
"Did you happen to find the whereabouts of the Rose?"
The knight hung his head. "Not yet, sire...my men are still looking."

Sabel did not hear Tomas approach. She stared at the lake, completely oblivious to his nearing presence.

Tomas stopped a few steps away, he raised his head. "Hello.." He said in a small voice, never having talked to anyone besides the Rose.

Startled, Sabel jumped up to face him. "Oh," she blushed, "Hi." Sam lept onto her shoulder and looked at him with only a hint of curiosity. "I..I'm sorry. I was just walking around. If you want me to leave..." The slightly sheepish look on her face displayed her sincerity.
