Disclaimer: This match is purely for fun and isn't to be mistaken as a match pertaining to the guilds story arc. This will not have any affect on our characters afterword. As well as being a private match between the two of use.
A field between the land of lightning and the land of water, Where it seemed to have just recently rained. The air is stale and the small of the wet grass fills the air. It is mid day and the orange sun eflects of the wet surface of the landscape. Giving a soft orange tint to the area which has a calming effect. As to what is about to occur here it remains a mystery as to how the two kunoichi even came to know each other. Though it would seem to be an rivalry sparked by chance. One with less hatred and more respect to the others ability. Though the question stands," Who is the better ninja?"

Chisato would clear through the damp forest running at top speed for the forest clearing she'd received a mysterious message to come and meet a fellow swordswoman. She wasn't sure who this person was, but she did so love to meet practitioners of the blade. Though hopefully unlike many of the people from Kumogakura this individual would be receptive to her. So she was desperately rushing to meet this companion of interest. It never dawned on her that this person was a nin, or a nin from the rain village which housed the Akasuki of legend.
Reaching back and holding the handle of her blade Mariko Chisato would begin to talk. "See Mariko, if we keep working hard they'll finely see our worth. They'll love use all over the world. Then our family will be found in the homes of the greatest swordsman the world has. The Renound of the Ekiguchi blade will be known. Hmm? No I know it won't be that bad, but a friend is a friend, right? what's the worst that can happen? they won't miss me to much in Kumogakura for just leaving for a day." Chisato would finally stop in the clearing with a cherry smile and rosy cheeks as she' look at the orange sun shining over the edge of the wet trees. The silhouette of the trees draping her in a slight shadow. The warmth of Mariko reassuring her that this was a wise choice, well at least in her mind.

Jumping along the branches of the trees, Kuroiame gave a soft sigh, her mind running over what had happened. A message arrived to her to encounter a ninja from the Land of Lightining, another female weilder of the sword. She was curious of who this woman was, and her skills, though it seemed minorly suspicious. Her mind came to a final conclusion that this meeting would go smoothly, and hopefully, this person wasn't looking for revenge for her family's "business".
She dropped down from the trees into the damp grasses, and gazed into the glow of orange that covered the field. She walked a few steps, observing the surroundings, and then searched the area for this person whom she was to meet. Looking through the dripping trees, and into the shadows, she could make out someone there. She then stopped and stood among the grasses, in her usual easy-going stance. "Are you the ninja I'm supposed to meet?" she began, with a small smile, "I don't believe I can properly greet you when you're under the cover of the shadows."

Chisato would look over after hearing the girls second sentence. She more or less heard a muffled sound with her first words. Chisato was actually partially deaf and wasn't to responsive to sound, though she did feel the vibrations in the air as if it was a secondary hearing system. Not as versatile, but it helped. Turning to face the other Kunoichi Chisato's glowing blue eyes would light up in contrast with the vail of the orange light. Walking Slowly out from behind the shadows Chi would speak, " Hello you wouldn't be he one who's interested in blades/" As she came out from the shadow she'd notice the choker and the plate on the girls neck. instantly inside Chi's head she'd start screaming at herself. Oh crap a rain nin, thee guys are supposed to be majorly ruthless. Crap, Chi you dumb a** what have you done.
On the surface Chisato would only smile and say hello as she'd lay her arm over the plate below her belly button. " I'm Chisato Ekiguchi, I'm a amature blacksmith and I really like blades. As you can see I have my partner on my back right now." Turning to showcase her blade, which sat diagonally on her lower back, resting on her bum. Chisato nervously held her arm and looked over to the other nin. " Her manes Mariko. She's 4 feet and 3 inches in length. Two and a half in width. Style, Broad Sword. So she'd double edged. How about your name's?" Though a bit apprehensive, Chi wasn't against seeing if she could still talk on friendly terms about blades with the other girl.

Kuroiame slightly tilted her head as she listened quietly to the kunoichi's voice, observing both the sword's features as well as the ninja herself. "I am Takahashi Kuroiame, and I, too, have an interest in blades," she replied, drawing her own and displaying the sword in her hand, "This is Yukiryou, two feet in length and one inch in width, and the style is katana." She shealthed her sword and smiled once more, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ekiguchi-san."
Kuroiame silently thought to herself, What an interesting person, this Chisato. A blacksmith, and she carries a good sword. Though she seems nervous... Suddenly remembering she hadn't fully introduced herself, "Oh, I almost forgot, I am a Gennin of Amegakure, if you hadn't noticed. May I ask what Land you hail from?"

Chisato's hesitation would fade asshe'd lay her eyes on Yukiryou. It was a beautiful blade made with the expressed purpose of speed and precision. This kind of form was one that was most appealing to Chisato's character. She'd forget about hiding her head village plate as she'd come closer to get a better look. " It's beautiful. Such a fine blade is quite well made for assassination. it's light but strong, I'd figure, and 'd bet her grip must be superb. So as to not be easily knocked from your hands...I'm glad I came to meet you Takahasi-san." Chi's eyes would light up in awe of the blade as she'd try to snap back to her senses and feel a bit ashamed for gawking. Reaching back to Mariko she'd apologize to it under her breath. " Forgive me, it was beautiful..."
She'd look up towards kuroaime and apologize to her as well. " I'm sorry. I often say whats on m mind with out restraint...where are my manners. Your allowed me to see your steel but my own remained sheathed. Here..." Reaching back to grab the handle of Mariko Chisato would draw the blade with a clearly unnatural speed from the sheer size of it. Aiming it towards the ground in as a show of neutral intention. " I'm not one for lieing. I'm kunoichi...of the cloud, and I know you're a nin of the rain from your choker...Though i want to befriends. They don't understand me in Kumogakura..Don't get me wrong! I love them!..but they don't get me. So I was wondering if you'd like to be my pen pal or something. I know my kage may not like it. Still I don't care,uh..."
Chi would pause to hear Kuroaime's reply. She'd stay perfectly silent as the metal of her blade seemed to have a soft chime to it as it laid bare in the open air. The orange light reflecting off it's surface. Which would blind one wold directly at it's focus.

Kuroiame slightly chuckled at her apology, "There is no need to apologize, I thank you for your kind words." As Chisato drew her own, Kuroiame looked upon it with silent admiration and interest. She hadn't weilded a large nor heavy sword, so she was full of wonderous curiosity as her eyes followed the outline of the blade and hilt.
As Chisato spoke again, Kuroiame straitened up again, listening quietly once again. She nodded when she spoke of people misunderstanding, she knew it was common. "And friends we shall be, Ekiguchi-san. It has been a while since I had a friend, a true friend that is, but I hope this friendship will not be looked down on by the Kages. I also hope that war will not turn us against each other," she talked on, her thoughts going through her mouth, but she caught herself and stopped. "Ah, forget that, by own rambling. Anyway, I thank you for your friendship," she concluded, smiling her true smile, without the shallow happiness, but her real feelings. The orange light let through a warmness in it's rays.

Chisato was dumbfounded as she herd kuroaime's worse. she practically broke int to tars as she'd quickly sheathed her blade and hug the other kunoichi. She speak under with gasping breaths. " Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you~..." She'd never had a friend before. Well at least one made of flesh and blood so she was even more excited by the fact that they had something in common. Though she was also sad to hear that someone else shared her kind of pain. " Kuroaime-Chans a god send!" She'd yell. then she'd notice herself clinging a bit too close and let go reestablishing her distance from Kuroaime. " I'll fight for you anytime Kuroaime. Though I also hope our village don't tear use apart. I hear bad things about Amagakura but with someone like you they can't be all that bad. We'll be secret friends and we'll compete for the top of our villages. That way we'll be able to make our villages friends along with use. Deal!"
overly excited Chi's eyes showed a clear madness from the nuance of friendship, but her heart was in the right place. so her slight strange and crazed looked may be excused by Kuroaime, well hopefully. She'd hold out her hand to Kuroaime, " Kuroaime-chan, i know this is a bit odd, but lets do a blood and steel pact?" What a blood and steel pact was a intertwining of blood onto the blades of two swordsman. This was something Chi had picked up from the samurai once. So she'd taken to using it with others to prove friendship. it didn't take well with the others on the play ground in kindergarten. She was too lost when it came to being social, but she was always pulling trough her negative fits.

At Chisato's embrace, Kuroiame froze for a second before laughing a bit, she had mostly forgotten the feeling of a hug, ever since her uncle that is. Fleeting memories went by as Chisato pulled herslef back. Kuroiame listened with calm eagerness as she spoke of the deal, "Ha, I hope that you'll gain a new idea of Amegakure, it's not much. But I agree, with our friendship, we'll bring the countries together."
She further listened to Chisato's words, and was a bit surprised to hear the Pact mentioned, but her smile didn't fade. "Very well, Chisato-chan, we shall make the Pact."

((Don't worry about it it's a little something I made up. I really want to make Chisato the go to nin when it comes to crafting blades. Maybe not the best swordsman. Yet her blades will be legendary. The pact is preformed by two nin cutting their hands and then clasping the together over their exposed blades. as the crimson goes over the blades.it creates a strange permanent (unless one of them dies) red tint on the edge, down center, dull side. Really it's up to you. ))
"Here I'll start.." Chi wold cut into her hand slightly to allow the blood to flow. She'd make sure that the light was hitting her blade perfectly so that it reflected the blood on it. " My blood, now you do it with Yukiryou.." After Kuroaime would hopefully comply and copy her perfectly she'd say. "Your..." Moving to clasp her hand with Kuraime's she'd say, " Our blood..." Crossing the blades facing the earth she'd move their hands over the blades.
"May we forever be sisters of the blade. I swear to you in blood that we will unify our countries one day...now you say the same and whatever you wish to add,he" Chisato would wait for Kuroamie to finish and end the pact by letting go of her hand, and running the blood mixed on her palm across her blade which now had a wave live pattern on either edge. Stepping back from Kuroaime Chi would take stance with her blade ready to attack. "Now we commemorate our pact with an exhibition. You up fo it Kuroaime?"

Kuroiame nodded and drew her sword, looking at it a second before sliding the blade across her left palm, tearing the skin beneath. Putting Yukiryou alongside Mariko, her hand joined Chisato's. Their blood mixing and dripping onto the waiting blades below. "I have none to add. I swear that we will, one day, unify our countries. May our friendship last throughout our lives," Kuroiame said, before drawing her hand back also.
"Okay then, Chisato-chan. We, sisters under our blades, shall clash for the first time," she said. Kuroiame tightened her grip on Yukiryou, and stepped into her own stance. Feet evenly spaced and balanced, and her sword held out in front of her. Her eyes stared unwaveringly into Chisato's, waiting for her to move or speak.

Chisato would only smile at the sight of Kuroaime's formal stance. Yet her own was anyng but formal. She ran her blade along the wdth of her arms and pressed it flat. The point aiming for Kuroaime. Her body was slightly hunched and she'd stand on the points of her toes. If one was to study her stance it would look like on big balancing act, with issues for even being effective in battle. Yet Chi would smile as the light would seem to shift ever so slightly in the air due to the passage of time. In that instance Chisato would tip over as if she was about to fall leading her blade before her. Then she'd rush forward at Kuroaime in a blurred speed breaking out of her clumsy stance by whipping her blades flat side at her to smack her away. using the momentum of the spin her swing would give her, chi would become a spinning top. The blade coming back around Chi would have changed her grip so that the edge of the blade would come for Kuroaime.
As powerful as this opening attack was she was actually able to push forward and crouch before the next swing would finally come about. Cutting across diagonally Chisato's blade Mariko would explode forward and up to reach Kuroaime. Though Chisato was unsure of many things. When it came to battling, her move always seemed to have a purpose. Given her large blade, chi knew that using most if not all the muscles in her body to control her powerful swings was needed. This would explain why she'd press her torso against the blade. Ending her opening assault chi would say, " Let our battle begin!" Giggling as as she'd spin into her blades weight to find it's axis. So to flip about back to the ground.

Slightly tipping her head to the side, Kuroiame looked at her stance with mellow curiosity, watching her body and movements closely. Kuroiame lightened her feet as she watched Chisato lean forward and then brake out into a fast advance. The spin caught her as a bit of a surprise, though she found a way to hopefully stop Chisato's advances. Sliding her left foot back, she waited for her blade to approach before she quickly raised Yukiryou to parry the spin, holding the sword vertically.
She grinned slightly, it had been a while since she faught another swordsman (woman), hopefully she won't come out too bad. She quickly placed her hand behind her blade, and executed a sudden rotation of the sword, guided by her hand. The spin had allowed Yukiryou to pin Mariko towards the ground. Seeing her fleeting chance, Kuroiame then made a uppercut slash towards Chisato before backing away, and returning to her stance. (I know that was a bit hard to follow, but if you need it, I can explain a bit more. sweatdrop But I couldn't think of many ways to counter her attack. xp )

((don't worry I get it))
As kuroammie quickly adapted or rather bravely went to slow and divert Chisato's attack. Chi would have to admit to Mariko that she was fairly impressed with the kunoichi's skill.Chisato knew how dificult it might have been to do so, but she was helpless to stop the blade once it ws on it's changed coarse into the earth. Though she could slow and stop it from being lodged into the ground leaving her defenseless. Chi in reality had two weapons at play, that she kept together all the time. Mariko, and the Razor wire on her and hidden on Mariko's person. using the wire Chisato's over all control over her lade was greater than first perceived by her opponents or by what her physical prowess allowed. Having her single handed blade retract as fast of faster as one that allowed both hands to be utilized. Ch would use her free hand to pull at the wire and bring her blade quickly back into place for her to block the upper from Yukiryou. Not alone blocking Ci would fall back and use her foot to kick at Kuroamie wrist as the blade was passing. This was to throw of her setup of her stance, how ever slight it may have been. with just the example of Kuroamies parrying skills. Chisato could tell that the slightest mistakes would be the most sever in this match.
Chisato would tumble back holding Mariko on her chest, and then spring forward not letting up on kuroaime. Holding her blade her blade before her like a horizontal shield she'd rush in to attack Kuroaie with the blunt force. Yt again she'd stop for the slightest moment to drop the edge to allow it to face the earth. then the blade would be swung violently diagonally ut into the air. Taking Chisato with it. One in the air she'd use her excess control over Mariko to bring down a heavy slash on Kuroaime to where ever she may of been outside of her stabbing area (directly beneath her, or slightly at the end of her reach). Flipping over her blade once it landed in to ground of made contact. She move to kick Kuroamie in the face or hold the blade to her back close enough to ac as a shield and a powerful attack when ready.

Again, a fleeting sense of surprise came when she saw the light reflect off the wire once Chisato's sword returned to her hand. Yukiryou revolved a few times before sticking up-right in the ground a few feet away, meanwhile, Kuroiame was pushed back a little by Chisato's kick, shaking her hand, she glanced back to see exactly where Yukiryou was before turning back towards Chisato. Seeing Chisato charging once again, she made the Tiger hand seal, and whispered, "Water Clone Jutsu."
Pulling out a kunai, Kuroiame was able to deflect most of the diagonal attack, she looked up to see the slash as it came down. She barely missed the slash with a side-step, though her left arm bared a shallow gash, her warm blood dripping down onto her gloves. As Chisato was suspended in mid-air, Kuroiame threw up three shuriken, "Manipulated Shuriken Technique," she said as she pulled her hands downward, ulternating their paths. They all then turned towards Chisato, quickly decending down on her.
Meanwhile, a creeping water clone kept low in the grass, slowly advancing on Yukiryou. This was her plan to regain her sword into her hands. (I feel so sneaky! ninja )
