The origin is simply that since the mid-19th century "poison" has been slang for alcoholic drink (in Australia a pub was known as a "poison-shop"). This may refer to the Latin root "toxicum" (meaning "poison")of the word "intoxicate", or it may just be a reference ro the bad effects of excessive drinking. Thus the phrases "what's your poison?" "Pick your poison" and "choose your poison" arose naturally.
I personally don't think "Your Poisin" has to be an alcoholic substance. It can be anything that isn't good for your body or your mental state of mind.

Haha. Well, mine would be...

Like tonight.. I was at a poker party and I knew I was ahead, but this one guy was like..
"Hey, just a pick a card.. whoever has the best card wins a $1 from the other person."
So then I said, "Ok, one time won't be too bad.. it's all fun.."
I think this drawing cards thing went on for... 10 rounds? xD
And everytime I said... "Ok, just one more and that's it!"
We even did double or nothing a few times, too. D;
I still ended up winning, so.. that's good. >.<
I guess I could add in Gaia. =.=;;
