Even though we can make up powers as we go along, there are parameters that we're limited to, from what I remember (such as age and item). I think that there should be a separate thread just for information on the powers of the Metas (and approval of powers, maybe). This way you won't have, say, a Meta with a first-aid kit that can shoot laser beams - or at least, there would be more information for people making characters.
