"Alone"

My life changed on April 25 1997, i was walking home from my boyfriends house. It was only a few blocks so i assumed id be okay to walk home. i was wrong, dead wrong.
As it started getting dark i had that feeling i was being watched. I ignored it and kept going. Then the feeling turned into being followed. i walked faster eager to get out of there and to a more public place. i Turned the corner i had only two blocks left until i was home. I started sprinting down the side walk when, suddenly i heard a cry. It sounded like a little girl and i automatically thought of my little sister that had recently gone missing . i ran with tears in my eyes screaming " MARIE, MARIE, are you okay MARIE"
i found myself wondering in the woods near the old river bed about a mile from my house. i realized how stupid this was and how irresponsible and easily distracted i had been. I turned right heading out of the woods to the end that would take me home, that was a mistake. i was grabbed from behind, a hand covered my mouth the other around my waist. I struggled and out of no where my body went limp . I felt his disgusting hands run over my body, i tried to move tried to scream but i couldn't open my mouth i was paralyzed . He grasped my shirt and i heard it rip, tears cascaded down my face.
I never saw my attackers face, before i died.
