Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Went and saw this today. It was just okay. They made a lot of changes.

It was a good movie, but I was really unhappy with the changes. They made it so different.

I knew going into the movie that they'd told them they were only going to be able to make one movie. I was like O.o how do you do that? The result? A bad representation of the book but a just ok movie.

I think the movie itself was kindof ... disappointing.
Definitely nowhere close to the book. Rick Riordan's a really really good writer though! Love his humour. (: Roar! For I am THE NINJA.

I recently read that he'd actually sold the movie rights to the story before the book was even published, for publicity. It really upped the sales, so I guess it worked. While film adaptations usually do a crappy job conveying the story right, I think I'd like for someone to pick them up and actually make the whole series and do it right.

i thought that the movie was alright... my dad took me to go see it even though I really didn't want to and I had no interest in reading the book, but I did and I loved it.
