(( Some carnies have invaded and set their base up on the street, enjoy ^_^ clown terrorists xD))
Two girls dragged a boy down the street, two other boys following after them.
Rani and Tye each had a hold of the boys wrist, grinning like fools.
"Let me go!" Kado growled, digging his heels into the dirt at an attempt to stop them.
"Fail, Kado, fail." Akeno laughed, grinning at his cousin.
"You guys should keep it down, we shouldn't draw attention to ourselves." Keiji mumuered, slipping his hands into his jacket pockets.
((Tina shall go by "tye" now xD))

Calix sighed and flopped onto her back as she watched the clouds shift overhead. She could hear the festival in the streets below her, but she had no intention of joining in the fun.
Not today, at least.
She barely registered the cold January wind that bit through her clothing. The streets were lined with warm fires and festival goers, so it could only be felt on the higher rooves in the village, like the one she was laying on. She closed her eyes after a while, reaching a hand up to play with a heart-shaped locket that dangled from her neck. The metal was black, made from an alloy found only in the Islands she grew up in, but it was pretty just the same. It was a direct opposite to the silver lilly that hung beside it, but she treasured both of them equally. Almost, at least.

"You worry to much." Tye giggled, glancing back at her blond companion.
"I don't worry, I'm being logical." Keiji stated evenly.
"Logical my a**." Tye and Rani laughed in unison.

Calix blinked her eyes open when something tugged dully at the back of her mind, interrupting her train of thought. She tilted her ears to funnel the sounds around her, then sat bolt upright. She shot to her feet and dropped off the roof, glancing around like a dog that'd caught a whiff of something. Something strong. She took off through the crowd, weaving between people as she tracked her prey.

"You both suck." Keiji sighed.
"Agreed!" Kado whined, tugging to get free of the two girls.
"Hey we're not that mean. We don't just suck but swallow too." Tye teased, causing the three boys to go red in the face and Rani to giggle.

Calix sped up her pace slightly until she could smell her target as well. She glanced back and forth, then caught sight of her prey. She blinked, then a huge grin shot over her face, a light exploding in her eyes that she hadn't had for a while. She darted into a run.

Tye smirked and let go of Kado's wrist. "Rani, you should teach your boyfriend some manners." She teased.
"I try." Rani giggled.
"You're the one that needs manners!"Kado hissed, falling on his butt.

Calix jumped slightly like a cat pouncing on a mouse, then slammed into Rani and tackled her to the ground.
"Rani-chan!" she yelped. They somersaulted a few times before ending up slumped against the side of a building, Calix holding the younger girl in a tight hug, Rani's back to her stomach. She grinned broadly.
"You have absolutely no idea how happy I am to see you."

Tye and the others raised a brow and laughed.

Calix released her.
"Gimme' a break, I didn't even know you were in this.. time zone.. place.. thing." She hugged one of her best friends in the whole wide world once more. "Now we're two-thirds of a happy family again, jah?"

Rani laughed and turned to hug her back. "Yep!"
Koda laughed a bit and Akeno pulled him to his feet.
"Tye, do you think you're brother is going to show up?" Keiji asked curiously.
"I don't know." The girl replied evenly.

Rani blushed a bright red and blushed a bright red.
Koda wrapped his arms around her. "I think she's cute no matter what she wears."
"Besides, Tye is worse." Keiji laughed, yelping when Tye punched him square in the jaw.
