Personality: Generally carefree and outgoing, and isn't afraid to speak his mind. Jokes tend to fall short on him, as he thinks people are always being serious or honest.

Aku tends to find an attraction in just about everyone. However, the point of attraction is always different. It may be from looks, personality, or even their profession. He could very well be attracted to someone simply because of something simple like a person's hair.
Short background/history: Aku grew up in Mellon's Hanging Waters quite normally for most of his childhood. When he grew out of that, Aku went into a profession he'd longed to do for years and years before: a doctor. Even though his kind did have natural healing abilities, Aku concentrated on making them better, so he could heal people better and more efficiently.
He was quite happy to be recruited by the Republic to go work at Olympus Mons, and went to go do just that.
