Sarae walked into the tavern just like any other night. She took her scarf off and hung it behind the door on the rack. She looked around at what had become her home. Well not looked, more felt. Seeing this place would be a miracle. Develle sitting in the corner drunk as always, his head in his hands. The local seer with her cards and spiky purple hair. And Daemon, her boss behind the counter. Ah Daemon, the one the women always wanted but could never have. Sarae laughed to her self thinking about the reason why. Finally behind the counter, she felt herself a glass and poured herself some ale. Nothing interesting happen tonight, Boss? Daemon glared at her. How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Boss? He settled down and said..Same old, same old.

[[Ok guys this rp is you'r basic everyday tavern with quirks, not sure how's it gonna work but I got it started. There are some characters that can be controlled by anyone. I am Sarae. Develle, Daemon, and the Seer can be manipulated. I don't have a name for the Seer yet but she is a she. Introduce yourselves and have fun. This is basically a hangout thread, nothing serious.]]

Silver leaned against the doorframe, out of breath from running hard. Her pale hair hung in strings from her head and covered her emerald eyes. Darting her eyes over the dark landscape behind her, she ducked inside, pausing for a second to adjust to the bright, musty room. Hoping no one had seen her, she ducked into a shadowed corner, looking hungrily at the food on the tables around her. She was starving, her gaunt, pale figure testified to that, but she also had no money for food, and no talents or energy to work for it.

Making her normal rounds a room, Sarae felt something different. She slowly did a 360 and felt the young child. Speed was one of Sarae quirks but she was also clumsy. In a flash she was over to the woman. Sarae prided in herself for not falling on her face. Howdy, stranger! Welcome to Evernight, would you like me to get you somethin', sugar?

Startled, Silver looked up at the woman from the shadows. Was she talking to her? She quickly looked around behind her, finding no one. Her nerves still on edge, she shook her head quickly, hoping the woman didn't hear her stomach growling. 'So hungry...' But she had nothing to pay for food with...

Sarae reached out and felt the girls aura. One House Special comin' right up! With that she zoomed to the counter and whispered in Daemons ear.. Take this one out of my pay check. She then zoomed back to the kitchen and started to prepare some roast, veggies, and a tall glass of water. Daemons mental voice boomed in her head. You just can't not help a person can you? He laughed inside her head. She went back to work on getting the food ready. I can feel her hunger Daemon, she must be rail thin. Saraes mental voice had a touch of anger in it. She knew what it was like to go hungry.

Silver was a little frightened of this strange woman, but then again, she was frightened of everyone. There was no telling who was with Them. The last person she had trusted..... She shuddered at the memory, backing up against the wall. Maybe if she stood still in the shadows the woman wouldn't see her and would just forget about her...

After the food was ready, Sarae took the plate piled high with food out to the young girl. Where'd she go? She reached out to Daemon mentally. Where is that young girl? She could still feel her vibrations, but because of her situation she couldn't see her. She's still there in front of you, Hun. Just call for her. Sarae nodded knowing he could see her. Hun? Please come sit back down. I'm afraid I would hand you the food but, unfortunately that's not an option unless you want to end up wearing this food.

Still frightened, Silver tried to back up farther, but her back was already against the solid wall. The food did look good, but experience had taught her fear. She felt her stomach turn at the thought of refusing the meal, but more than once her stomach had gotten her in trouble and almost dead. She clenched her eyes shut and hoped that the woman would just go away and forget her.

Not hearing the girl say anything, Sarae felt for the table and put the food down. Hun, I'm not going to hurt you. Sarae frowned, saddened and slowly inched forward with her hands outstretched in front of her, trying to feel for the girl. She cursed as she bumped into a chair. Ouch! She bent down and rubbed her foot.

Silver took advantage of the woman's distraction and ducked around her, grabbing the plate and ducking under another shadowed table to eat her meal in silence. She had let her hunger win over her instincts. Let the food be poisoned, death would be a pleasant change. True, there was always the possibility she would wake up from a drugged slumber to find herself in Their clutches once more. It was too late now, she had already taken several bites. Maybe the woman would go away now. Go away and forget. If the woman really was trying to help, that was even more reason she should just forget Silver. Last time... Last time someone had tried to help her..... A silent tear slid down her cheek, landing on the food on her lap. Her stomach brought her thoughts back to the present and the food in front of her. From her seat under the table, she watched the woman's feet.

Daemon? She called mentally, knowing he would know what she was asking. She's under the table. Was his quick reply. Sarae sighed and felt for the edge of the table and sat down on the floor. She looked in what she thought was the right direction of the girls face. Well... Hi? Um. I really wish you'd sit in a chair. My knees aren't in the best shape. Are you ok, sug? She cocked her head to the side in puzzlement.

Why wouldn't this woman just forget about her?! Silver tried to scoot back farther away from the woman, but she couldn't. Not without scooting chairs which would attract attention. She heard the door open and cowered closer to the wall. Please let it not be Them... Please let them just go away...
