As some of you may or may not know, my plan is to become a profiler for the FBI. While searching the internet I found an intersting case. If this is allowed, I would like to hear your input on the case. It is truly tragic. There is a reward being offered for those who can provide interesting info. I don't live any where close to this area, meaning money isn't my motive here. I just want some input if at all possible.

These are some links to the mystery. They are the most complete I can find.

The composite sketch is just of a man of interest. This means that there is no guarentee that he is the killer. Now for my analysis.

The shooter's motive was money. This is evident by stolen firearms. The weapons stolen were most likely hand guns. I can conclude this because noone saw the weapons he was carrying and handguns are the only concealable ones. He wasn't from around the town but I suspect he was from a town nearby. He chooses just one pawnshop to rob from a relatively safe neighborhood. He knew that no one would suspect him to go there for the robbery, meaning he has some form of logic. He walked from the store and might have had a bike. This leads me to believe that he had outside transportation. The nearest bus stop was miles away. He is what you would call a disorganized killer. This is when you do nothing to conceal the body. What I find odd is that he didn't bring his vehicle. He must have planned the robbery, or else security cameras probably would have footage of him. His age and the time of day certainly match though. Youth generally attack in the day because that's the time the can break away from their schedules. My guess is that he is a highschool graduate or at least that age and as for his job status, I don't have a clue. I'm going to guess that he probably had some form of backpack with him. Noone would just stuff firearms in their pants. As for the murder itself, my guess is that the guy either panicked to kill the man or killed him the minute he entered the store.

This is interesting.

I think you are a pretty good thinker. Looking at the time, and around his age; I mostly over-looked stuff like that; it's cool that you thought them through at the possible angles.

There are a few things I'd like to point out. (I'm not good at this stuff, but I tried to read closely.)

The motive, was mostly likely money, but pawn shops have all sorts of things collected from pawn trades. Remember, none of the reports told what this man stole from the pawn shop.
Also, one of the reports described the man, and mentioned that he may have had a speech impediment. These are some cases of the cause: disorders, some brain injury, drug abuse, mental retardation, physical impairments, or perhaps just vocal abuse of misuse. (Look at Wiki if you'd like some more reasons!)

Whatever the reason for that, if he was mentally retarded, that could change a whole lot. (Perhaps I'm fussing over nothing?)

I also found it strange how one of the reports said that he just walked out of there and went near a Bar-B-Que place, then through neighborhoods and stuff. When you commit a crime, I'd imagine that your heart would be racing, and you'd run like the wind. No, it described him walking. This could perhaps support the retardation theory?

Anyway, I think you're much better with this kind of work than me. Just giving you what I thought. Interesting case though. Poor Myers. You're right though, everyone seemed to know everyone in that community, so there's no way the robber could be from that area.

Well, I'm done ranting....for now.

Nice, I didn't even consider a mental defficiency theory. That's good insight. If you are indeed right either it was conditioning or a personality disorder, most likely anti-social. That was the most logical responce that i've gotten thus far. Thank you.

Haha, no, thank you. It was pretty fun thinking things through like that and then discussing. If you have any more cases to put up here, I'll gladly respond.

This is actually pretty nice. It tests how a person thinks. ^-^
It's also pretty cool how you want to become a profiler for the FBI too. Are there any classes that you can take that would help you with that kind of stuff? (If you haven't out-grown school yet.)

In high school I've taken two psychology courses and one sociology course, not to mention a biology course. Although my school hasn't got much more for me in this field, I was able to buy the criminal psychology textbook.

Sure, no prob!

Hmm, I'm looking into art and engineering.

I've taken the engineering classes that my school can offer, so I'm trying to apply to take the classes at the college. I'm looking at aerospace engineering for specifics.

For art, I like drawing anime style. I pratice a lot, and have taken a couple art classes. I need to take a few more though.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Your field is pretty interesting too! Thanks again for putting up that case file. It was challenging to think like a criminal, although the case was sad. It's not the field for me. I couldn't handle that kind of stuff.

It's funny. Alot of people ask me how I can look at the facts of a murder and wonder why it doesn't make a morbid person. I attribute it to two things:

1.) The prituitous amounts of horror movie footage I've witnessed.

2.) Focus more on who did it and who it was done to more that what. It's like math. You look for patterns.

Haha, I bet horror films help a lot.
The second one makes a lot of sense. I can see that. Ahh, math.

Now that you brought this up,I'd like to present another case....
It may piss most of you off, because, this case is Death Note related.
The details are in this link.
I couldn't find the better one with the notes but this is all I can do,If I find them I will edit this post and replace the links.

Whoa, a very interesting case. I guess this killer is a fan of Death Note.

Anyway, how this person killed the victims is pretty gruesome. If I were trying to be like Light, I'll probably just stab their heart (heart attack).

His way of killing is totally out there: only a torso and two thighs were found, and was stored in a freezer. Perhaps an obsession? What bothers me is the thighs were shaved and mentioned it was probably because of a psychopathic act or the gay scene. What is the gay scene?

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this Evan, and if you have any thoughts Pandeh, could you share?
